It couldn't have been five minutes past the tall thin woman's departure, when a short portly cloaked man comes toddling up to her. "Miss? Excuse me, miss? Yes, yes, down here! Ah good, good! I have your attention! Ahem! I am the leader of the Eggstractor Guild here in Miasma Town!" The short man begins. Looking down at him, Camilla nods and listens attentively. He did seem pretty important. "You see miss, I've heard from some very reliable sources that your a very good Eggtractor! If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to test those skills!" he explains which causes her to tilt her head curiously to the side. "Test?" she parrots before continuing. "How? Do you want me to go get more Wyvern Eggs?" she asks curiously. There certainly were plenty of parentless eggs up there...

However, to her surprise, the man waves both his hands and shakes his head. "Oh no no no miss! I have a much more rewarding test in mind! And, you even have a key component of this test right in your hands!" he explains jovially before pointing to the Wyvern Egg in her hands. "Oh! The Wyvern Egg is key to this test?!" She half exclaims half questions! That made her wonder if she was being tested all along. "It certainly is miss! Now, tell me, have you ever heard of... Apex Pets?" he asks her cheerfully.

"Apex Pets?" she parrots again before getting a musing expression as her tail sways slowly. Apex... Apex... Ah! Maybe she had! She once heard Mac bemoaning the fact that he couldn't get ahold of Apex Pets to sell... But he never explained what they were... "I've heard about them, but I don't know what they are." she says finally. Nodding, he waves his hands a bit as he begins. "Ah well thats not such a surprise. They aren't exactly common knowledge. Alright, a Apex Pet is... Wait for it... A Giant Minipet! One you can ride around on like a Mount!" he explains excitedly! If Camilla could, she would have been sparkling right then! "REALLY!?!" she exclaims in a mixture of surprise, awe, and excitement as her tail begins to wag a mile a minute! Giant Minipets!?! Ones you can ride!?!

It was clear to anybody that the Dormouse ghoul was estatic over this news! Laughing warmly the man nods "Really miss! And you know what? Those Giant snakes when they are babes make perfect Apex Pets! And don't worry! They don't have a taste for mice or creeple in general! They are strickly minipetivores. Though you might be able to tempt them with table scraps." he assures her which causes the worried expression she had upon hearing the word 'snake' to disappear. "Thing is, they have to imprint on you at birth, otherwise they will never listen to you. That means... You need to go up and take a Giant Snake Egg! Now do you see the test miss?" he explains before asking her curiously.

A expression of realization dawns on her and she nods. However, she looks down at the egg then back at him questioningly. "Ah yes, the Wyvern Egg. You see, if the mother snake knew a egg was missing she would be very upset! However, if we replace her egg with this Wyvern egg, she'll never know!" He explains before nodding. "Oh, that's clever!" she exclaims and smiles. "So, now that you know what you need to do miss, will you do it? Will you prove your a great Eggstractor and gain a great prize?" he asks though he already knew the answer! "yeah! I'll definitely do it!" she exclaims excitedly!

And so it was, that Camilla found herself at a new base camp near a hill. She was then briefed on the best way to get up there and back before she was sent on her way.

The hill was easy enough, but the mountain... That would prove more difficult... Fortunately, she'd been given a satchel which perfectly cradled the egg so she could use both hands to climb with. By now, she was very good at climbing sheer mountainous walls. This mountain however, proved to be one of the highest of them all! As she climbed up and up it started to get colder... And soon she was up among the clouds! Strangely, some of the clouds were surprisingly warm. And so, to keep herself conscious and awake, the Dormouse ghoul would break to sit in the clouds. Unfortunately... As she neared the top she got clumsy...

In her bid for warmth, Camilla darts to the nearest cloud she could find. She didn't check the tint of the cloud before hand either! Suddenly as she enters the cloud, the air seemed drastically thinner! "W-wha!?" she chokes as she suddenly begins coughing! Purple mist drifted around the inside of the cloud and she could feel it! That odd feeling in her head was getting stronger and her chest was getting tighter! "E-ep! I have to- cough! Get out of here! Cough cough!" she chokes out before dashing back out of the purple cloud!

For several long moments she continued coughing as she tried to catch her breath! As she stood bent over double, she felt like she'd just inhaled smoke or something! It was the same feeling she'd gotten from the purple cloud she'd flown through in the Balloon too!

As Camilla made her way down the path, she stayed on guard. She couldn't afford to let her new Snake friend's egg get damaged, so she had to be alert!

Fortunately, because she was aware and alert she managed to avoid a surprise attack! Suddenly, she hears a familiar screech as two Raptors jump out from the rocks they were hiding behind! The Satchel did it's job of keeping the egg safe beautifully as Camilla dives out of the way! "Eep!" she squeaks as she bellyflops to the ground! The Raptors hadn't been expecting her to dodge and while they were relocating her, she was getting back to her feet and into a fighting position!

After the Red Mist event, Camilla had practiced hard to learn how to fight properly. She'd even taken up Martial Arts classes! That's why, as she faced the two raptors she was prepared! Slowly, the pare circle her. It was odd though... Why were there only two? The first mountain had a whole pack of them... Maybe... The pare did seem to be rather large and of the same size... Maybe they were a pare of outcast brothers? It happened with Lions, why not Raptors?

Soon, Camilla didn't have much longer to muse on things however as the bolder of the two lunges at her! "Oh no you don't! This is my snake friend! You can't eat it!" she exclaims determinedly as she sidesteps out of the way before delivering a sharp kick to the Raptors leg as it went by!

Yelping, the Raptor stumbles and crashes to the ground! Camilla was very protective of her minipet friends!

Soon, the exchange changes from confused calls to out right squabbling! Frowning, Camilla relaxes a bit as she watches the pare call back and forth like bickering siblings!

The first Raptor even turned it's back on her so it could bicker face to face with it's partner! "Um..." she says in confusion as her tail sways slowly, but she went unheard as the two continued to fuss.

Even as fast as the Dormouse ghoul was running, the Raptor was catching up! It's long powerful legs gave it the advantage and it's fury powered it's determination!

Camilla simply could not out run it!

For good messure, she had moved the satchel was the egg rested on her front rather then her back. It wouldn't help her much if the Raptor caught up with her though! Should she fight it? With how angry it was that didn't seem like a good idea... But what should she do then? All the climbing and running she'd done today was tiring her out! She'd never get back to base camp before the raptor caught her! So what... Ah hah!

As if destined to be there, just off the path was a river ending in a waterfall! Quickly she veers off to the right leaving her persuer confused for a moment. When she gets to the river and the waterfall she looks down to see how far it was. Mercifully it wasn't to far a drop and if she jumped right she and her egg should be fine.

She didn't have long to think about it however as the raptor quickly realizes what she was up too! It screeches angrily and comes barreling towards her! "Eep! No choice!" she squeaks before clutching the egg close to her and jumping in the river! Angry but not dumb, the Raptor screeches to a halt at the river's edge before roaring angrily as Camilla goes down the Waterfall!

It might not have been a tall Waterfall, but it still hurt hitting the water! Quickly, Camilla surfaces and checks on her egg, worried it might have been damaged in the fall. Luckily, aside from just being shaken up a bit it seemed fine!

And oh! look! There was the base camp!

Happily, Camilla swims over to the shore and pulls herself out. She'd done it! She'd gotten her snake egg!
