Name:Harlequinn Meaning: Based loosely on a character from the Commedia Dell'Arte. Tribe: Light Colony: Wanderer. Mate: None. Personality: ..........Harlequinn has the scheming and wiley disposition of his namesake; a rougish mindset, a love of theatrics, and questionable (sometimes fickle) morals. He loves to be around other B'alam, is extremely witty and able to compose spectacular poetry on the spot. It is hard to look him directly in the eyes as they seem to penetrate down much further than most are comfortable with, and his vibrant eye-sore of a pelt mean many find themselves developing a headache when he is near. He sits in the foreground of every scene and is generally the centre of attention even when at rest (which is not very often). Upon his awakening the first thing Harl saw was a bright Columbine flower in front of his face. Immediately he knew that the other half of his soul, his columbine had awakened into the world as well and vowed to find her. ..........Harl is currently a vagabond, content to wander around the world learning as much as he can and imparting his own particular kind of entertainment to other creatures. He's not entirely bothered if he has an audience or not- as like any true artist he is happy to hone his skills at any given opportunity. He has been know to practice his poetry for the benefit of only the trees. He gets on well with younger Ba'Lam as his mind is uncluttered by the responsibilites of adulthood and small things make him unduly excited. He really needs someone to look after him- his hunting skills are appalling, but he is more than happy to render his entertaining services to others who will provide him with nourishment.

Name:Nermin Meaning: "Soft" in Turkish Tribe: Water Colony: ?? Mate: N/A Personality: ..........Nermin has been lucky in her upbringing; with a loving and gentle family surrounding her she has developed a sweet and pleasant nature. She idolises her father, and has adopted his quiet manner of speech. Not the brightest sparrow in the flock, this little girl would never question the motives of others, because her own nature would never decieve another. She is deeply caring and attaches herself to anyone and everyone she meets. She takes it for granted that she will be lucky enough in the future to find her mate and have cubs- but she's not going to be thinking of that for a long time. She wants to see other tribes and learn how they care for each other. Nothing would make her happier than forging links between her own family and other tribes of B'alam. ..........Min is not very athletic and often tends to lag behind playmates; she becomes tired easily and listless when she over exerts herself. Given water's healing effect she tends not to stray very far from lakes, streams or ponds as she feels out of her comfort zone and panicked. Her dreams extend to her exploring the origins of rivers and lakes- something that she can take her time doing and which will keep her close to the regenerative properties of water should she tire.

Name:Odilia Meaning: Derived from the Germanic element odal meaning "fatherland" or aud meaning "wealth, fortune". Tribe: Water Colony: N/A Mate: N/A Personality: ..........Odilia was born to be a princess. She is a pretty little thing, but my goodness does she know it. She is imperious in her tone and demanding in nature, but underneath that all she means well. She cares greatly for her family and only they can draw her back when she is behaving like a madam. She is playful to an extent; not one to shy away from a friendly scrap, but she is liable to become bored at any point for no apparently reason and withdraw herself from the situation with a whine and a moan. She is fairly adept at manipulating her tone to get what she wants and has an unconcious eye for gauging other's emotions from their expression. She uses this talent to attempt to manipulate, but will become quiet, withdrawn and snappy if she is pulled up on it. ..........Dilly is a proper little lady- content to sit and stare at her reflection for hours, mainly for vanity but also for the reassuring sounds the water makes. She will never admit to anyone that she like to sneak off for time on her own. If you ask her where she's been she will come up with a thourougly unbelieveable story about a wild adventure, usually a verbal confrontation that she will have won. She is more liable to make friends with males as she views other females (especially pretty ones) as competition- and she feels she out to be the leader in any group situation.

Name:Baarou Meaning: Mash-up of two Animal Crossing characters, Baabara & Tarou Tribe: Fire Colony: None Mate: None Personality: ..........Baarou is a beefcake. He's big and chunky; strong and athletic. He's your stereotypical bruiser, preferring to solve problems with his strength rather than his words. He's not extremely bright and can easily be lead astray by those who are good with words, but he does have a kind heart and would be devastated to learn he'd done any lasting harm to someone who didn't deserve it. He is prone to keeping silent, not because he's shy but because he takes a while to think before he speaks- he's a big believer in the fewer words the better (from himself), but he does enjoy being around chatty B'alam who he barely listens to, just enjoys the sound of their voices. ..........Rou is currently wandering the world, looking for a tribe to accept him, and in return can offer the security and protection his bulk affords him. Once he finds his place he will do anything to protect his home and family, short of permanently injuring them. He does not tend to scuffle or playfight with anyone, worrying too much that he may accidentally injure them due to his bulk.
