Warning! There's a very dangerous Apex Minipet out there, and it loves stealing things! Try to wrangle it and you may win it's heart, but it will also steal your items beware!
- You MUST have items in your item inventory that you have obtained. Please be aware by engaging in this quest these items WILL possibly get removed PERMANENTLY. If you lose an item, don't worry, you can do an older quest again to get that item back! If the minipet eats your item, it is PERMANENTLY GONE from your inventory until you get it back ICly via doing the original quest RP to get that item again.
- Remember that items CANNOT BE OBTAINED TWICE. That means you cannot sacrifice a spare of a rusted key for example, you can only carry ONE of each quest item.
- The creature in question hides in the fog. It is very hard to see it! All you see are a pair of eyes looking at you, and the shadow of a shape that is nearly 15 feet tall! Use your regular attack dice to attack the creature. It has 100 HP. The creature does 5 auto damage a hit! No Fear/charged attacks are allowed.
- Every time you roll double dice (ie 1,1) an item will be stolen from you. You can pick which one you wish to sacrifice. You MUST sacrifice an item you own from your list. It cannot be a double of an item you own (ie: you can't have two rusted keys and sacrifice one of them). That item is permanently gone. You must delete it off your item inventory and you no longer own it.
- If you roll a double dice and you have NO items to sacrifice it is an AUTO KO for you (you are defeated in battle).
- If you are one of the first FIVE that manage to defeat this creature AND you have contributed at least 600 words/ 3 battle posts in that thread, you may also post a redeem for this unique creature by dropping it off in this thread as proof!
Rarity: Rare Size: 15 feet long/10 feet tall Weight capacity: 1 person only Special ability: Can temporarily turn invisible, and that includes you riding on it. This will elude you from detection from anyone who is NOT in their final stage of growth. The invisibility only lasts as long as you are mounted on it, unfortunately being invisible does not mean it doesn't make noise/sound/ cannot fit in small doors. Flying: Yes Teleportation: Can teleport to and from Miasma village and Halloween Town only. Temper: Fickle. Likes to eat everything it sees by absorbing it with its long tongue.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Actually, he wasn't sure what time it was. Day? Night? It all looked the same when everything was covered in mist. All they'd heard was something about an apex.... thing... roaming around and needing to be dealt with. If it would get the bus repaired faster, or at the very least give them a way out of town, well... it was worth a shot. At any rate, fighting was kind of his thing. So with Remi and another in tow, they set out looking for something that matched the vague description they got.
And soon, they found it. Or... the eyes of it.
Aymet didn't waste time with words. A fight was a fight, and he was good at fights. They wanted him to fight something, he'd fight it.
Even if it was mostly invisible...

"Uhm, Aymet." This seemed to be turning into a common opener during thiongs such as these. "Is it me or is the mist moving?"
Remi really dfid expect things to go haywire, he was here after all for boogeyman training, but this? This was unexpected. The monster before them was roughly three times his height, a gross shade of purple, and bug-eyed. Really what was he to do?
Screaming sounded right. He bit his tongue ather hard to stop it. Instead he tried to summon his fear, only to find it not working. "Fears dont work!" He managed to call out a second before he dodged an attack. Something still managed to clip his side, hissing out in pain. "What the hell is wrong with this place?"

Vaudrey Scarlett had learned many things since coming to Amityville Academy - or rather, not coming to Amityville Academy, since he hadn't exactly made it to the school quite yet, but that was beside the point. One of them being that he was still pretty darn amazing. Another was that he was still pretty darn fantastic. Another was that he was no less ridiculous than many of the other boils and ghouls he'd stumbled across so far in the village. A fourth was that the villagers were Not Very Nice whatsoever. And the last -
- the last was that he basically sucked totally.
Clearly the other two boils he had stumbled across were way more experienced than he was, slashing and hacking and kicking at whatever it was. Meanwhile, Vaudrey was shrieking like a little ghoul and essentially losing all rational sense of self, stumbling this way and that until he finally toppled over rather uselessly.
"WHAT THE JACK IS GOING ON!" he squealed, completely forgetting himself and the elegant facade that he'd been trying to uphold the entire time in favor of running screaming like he probably shouldn't have been doing. "WHAT IS HAPPENING?"

Something swiped through the mist, enough to disturb it and knock into the three of them with a significant amount of force.
The thing was so hard to actually see that even though Aymet was clawing very dutifully at the air in front of him, it didn't seem to be doing much. He'd have to keep swinging. It was in there, somewhere, he was sure of it.

"ITS LIKE THREE TIMES OUR SIZE MAN!" He cried out to Aymet as he once again took a blow. Around the same time was when he noticed someone else was close, someone he remembered meeting earlier who gave him the biggest 'senpai notice me' eyes.
Crap, he would need to watch out the small student too. It seemed the kid could hold their own in battle, that was at least something better than not.
Frustrated he growled and reached out against the dragon. He felt his claws sink into the skin, only it wasn't skin. "What the hell is covering this thing?" It Appeared to be a mixture of Scales and Flesh. "I vote myself off the island can we leave now?" He was clearly half serious, but he still kept his guard up.

Vaudrey's shriek carried on the wind, much more magnified than it probably would have been under normal circumstances. His feathers were flying all over the place, he thought he might have accidentally run into the dragon straight on, bouncing backwards abruptly. An inelegant squawk escaped him, Vaudrey all but panicking now, and he sidled sideways, trying to look as impressive as the other two boils.
Sadly, no matter how hard he tried, he would never look as cool as his two senpais. Sorry, Vaudrey.
"So, er - " There was a crack and something smacked into him from the side. Vaudrey gave a squeal and toppled over, feathers in his face, cape tangling, and eventually he managed to get back to his feet, his talons scraping against the dragon's leg.
"You two, er, been here long?"
Clearly his conversational topics were the best.

This thing was enormous, and fast. Despite the huge amount of armor Aymet wore just about everywhere, he was at least fast enough himself to duck and roll around as the thing stomped and crashed out of sight. It wasn't perfect, but at least he avoided most of the creature's angry attacks. He wondered what could possibly be driving it so crazy here. There wasn't that much going on. Was it the turkeys? Had they angered it when they had sacrificed the burnt turkey offering on the roasting spit? Jack damn it, Remi, this was just one more reason why fire was bad. It was probably a giant turkey out for turkey vengeance upon them. An apex turkey.
The next time it slammed itself into him, Aymet offered it an attack in kind, slicing his claws into the rubbery hide it possessed. It wasn't much, but it did send the thing flailing back into the mist.

Unlike Aymet, Remi didn't normally choose to wander around in armor. While good for moving, it was bad on defense. This creature seemed to grow faster the more they fought it, but it also seemed his claws could somehow pierce its hide. Sure he didn't wear armor, it did make him move a little faster.
"It seemed to be getting angrier..."
It was around then he heard the questions and directed his attention towards the other student. He bit back a laugh, shaking his head at the irony of it all. "Lets just say kid you will need more than book smarts to graduate Amityville." And not die in the process. "But nah we are just....visiting the beautiful area, taking in the scenery, trying not to die. Thats how this works right?"

Vaudrey let out the most inelegant, ungraceful shriek that was humanly possible. He ran around sideways, ran left, then right, ran forward, then back, then ran into the dragon for a third time, almost crashing straight into it and he gave a shriek of pain and a yell of despair and then toppled over.
"WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO MEEEE!" he yelled forlornly, and perhaps he would have done better when it came to fighting except, well....
He debated life the universe and everything. They wondered why the creature they fought was so invisible, it must have been difficult for them to be that way. They felt their essence disappear into the night sky, a sky of infinite mysteries, mysteries to where there was no end, no beginning, no medium for it all, simply a means to an end AND WHY WAS HIS MIND WORKING IN SUCH MYSTERIOUS WAYS, NOW WAS NOT THE TIME TO DEBATE LIFE, VAUDREY.

Aymet had had it up to here with mysterious apex turkeys trying to kill him just because he'd roasted a few of them on a stick. It was just business. The village wanted steak, and this turkey was about to become steak.
The creature was going to get a lot of very angry clawing at this rate. If it wasn't for the heavy blanket of fog, he would have done a bit more. But it seemed to be a bit difficult to access his fear right now. Claws would do though. Claws were perfectly effective weapons as well. He had this. He swiped again, grinning at the idea of more turkey steaks.

"IT'S NOT TOO EASY," Vaudrey bellowed at the two other boils - and he would have said something about senpais again, except he wasn't exactly the most fluent when it came to talking, and therefore, as much as he tried to bullshit his way through life and pretend like he knew what he was doing, he absolutely did not.
"DID I DO IT RIGHT?" he yelled, running around and promptly knocking off of the dragon boil like a pinball. He tried running around again, did the most minimal of minimal damage to the creature they were actually supposed to be fighting, and then screamed some more and tried to act like he had done all of that on purpose.

The eyes seemed to rear up in the miasma as if it were in pain. Good. The thing had been giving them plenty of trouble here, romping through this perfectly not threatening area just threatening everyone with its invisible punching and kicking and who knew what. Nobody, because the eyes were the only part visible. It was very frustrating. Aymet was not enjoying this at all. He preferred an enemy he could see. It made unlife so much easier.
Aymet jumped up again and swiped. It didn't seem to be striking them with nearly the same speed or aggression as before....

He was expecting it to go down, really. It had to be dead soon right?
It wasn't until it gacve him a stupid look, that was honestly rather adorable, that he started to wonder. It stared at him with kitten-quality eyes, a quirk of its head.... and then.
"WHAT THE. GUYS. THE s**t STONE MY WHALE FIN." It was a split second, then it was gone. The tongue whipped out and slammed into his side, rummaged around in his pockets, and stole the item a blink later.
