Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!

- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.

Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.

1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore!
2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner
3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious.
4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible.
5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!)
6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

AJ felt so surprised when one of the villagers approached and invited him to come with her (from the voice) to the glacier for ore harvesting. He was amazed within the same landscape, part of it was desert like, part of it was tundra, and it had lake and forest nearby. It was like a mixture of ingredients with different properties put together, a Ratatouille maybe.

Even the temperature dropped dramatically in the desert, the sensation of icy area was still different. In the desert, it was windy chill while the tundra, the chills were as sharp as arrows penetrating each tiny pores of your skin.

The villager told him important points to note while they walked towards the northern outskirts, a basket, a sickle and a mining pick were passed to him. She warned him that the glacier was extremely slippery with a plain tone, but also said luckily when he fell, he would take the short-cut back to the town. AJ observed her wear, despite covered by the cloak, he would tell she wear more than others, and her boots were tailored made to cut into the ice.

The more they went northward, the colder the air blew to them. First, it was mildly cool. Then, it felt like autumn cool breeze. Later it changed to the wavy cold wind when a typhoon passed by. When it turned to chilly storm, AJ knew they reached their destination.

It was a nice thing to have the fog wrapping around, the smooth surface of the ice was the best reflector for the light and the strong white lights reflected would be such a big obstacle to their harvesting task. Since the fog was thin, the lights filtered was still intensive that hard to view without squinting his eyes. Turning to the villager, he found her having a pair of snow goggles over her eyes, though she was still cloaked. AJ guessed it wasn't the first time she came there to get some ores.

Before they started, she explained they were looking for a special kind of ores mainly, vibrant blue minerals wrapped around by black rock structures frozen in the ice. She had told him they were very rare but were good at tools and weapons. Realized she might talk too much, she shut up. Without a pair of bladed shoes, he slid on the slippery ice surface, striking balance to move steadily.

First it was ice covered paths, gradually the deeper they headed in, the more glaciers they saw. The ores however, were not found on the horizontal planes, they were beneath the slippery slopes of high mountains covered by glaciers. He made use of the sickle to fix himself before moving upwards while the villager walked easily as if she was on a normal path. Occasionally, she paused to let him catch up and checked if he had slipped. It took about an hour to reach a suitable location for the ores, he was panting when she informed him.

On their way, he had seen a hole best for fishing, herbs magically grew in such a chilly place and bone remains of unknown. Dug the sickle into the ice to secure himself, he picked out the pick to start digging on the surface of the inclined structure. There were many mixed stuff in the layer of ice but none of them were their targets. Gladly, doing different part-time and the training his Shishou gave him had his patience well improved. He moved his position and dug again.

At one time, he nearly slipped and fell back. It revealed how risky the harvest work was, but it won't scare the boil from doing it. He recollected himself and dug again, deeper in the glacier until his pick encountered something hard and black. AJ quickly dug the object out, though small in size, it leaked a sliver of brilliant blue.

He showed the villager, and got a half-heartedly thumb up for getting the targeted ores. She gestured him to dig more ores before they took the path they came back to the village.
