Quote: Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour! - The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore. Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out. 1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore! 2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner 3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious. 4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible. 5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!) 6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

Her tiny bit of hope had been answered. She had been asked to accompany the villagers on a trip to the top of a glacier! Aureole had never been to a glacier, let alone the top of one.
"Thank you for letting me come along. I've never been to such a place before so this is all new for me."
"It is the least we can offer for fending off the sand whale from our harbour. Though we can not claim the anything that might happen to you... The way is rather treacherous." The villager turned to looked at her for a moment. "I suggest being very cautious as you harvest."
She nodded as she tried her hardest to keep herself from mis-stepping and doing just what she had been warned not to do.
"So... I am allowed to keep whatever I find, right?"
"As per to what we had said, yes." He side-glanced her once more before continuing his guiding.
If Aureole had toes, they'd be wiggling with excitement. She got to keep anything she found! Yes! This was a well-deserving reward! Her rubbed her hands together in anticipation of what she might find out here! This place was so vast and thick with fog and foliage.
Speaking of flora, she stopped for a moment, noticing a rather interesting bush that they seemed to be passing by a lot of. The peryton squatted to get a bit view at the plant before picking off a bit. It had a strangely strong, sharp smell that made her nose twitch something fierce. Aureole continued to wiggle her nose at the scent before she looked up and saw that her guide had continued on without her.
Aureole quickly grabbed a little less than a handful of the plant and trotted to catch up with the guiding villager. She held out her hand, stained a light green from gripping the plants as she had been. "What are these exactly? They smell really strong and I can't stop my nose from wiggling."
He stared down at them a moment. Blinked once, twice then looked up at her. "Herbs." He then continued on his way.
Aureole lowered her hand, slumped and down stuffed the 'herbs' on her pocket sleeve. Better safe than sorry, she supposed.

Even with her not-all-too-helpful guide taking her around the glacier area, it was better than having no one. To at least have someone with her to keep her from getting lost was better then the alternative. And he was polite, at least.
Aureole tried her absolute best to not ask too many questions. And any that would garner a negative turn of events. But most of her questions about the fog and such were met with silence while her questions of foliage and fauna were either too vague or very well described. He had even warned her of a plant she had nearly grasped.
It wasn't the best trip but it was better than the ones she had already had since being here. And she didn't have to fight anything! Yay! Cause her arms were still pretty tired.
The pain soon became a distant thought at the glittering sight that had captured her sight.
A stunningly beautiful foggy emerald stone shined from a small spot in the crevice of a wall the ran along half of the glacier. The sudden gasp she had let slip before making her way towards the exquisite gems gleaming in the fog. "These... These are gorgeous!" The green looked like a color made from someone else hands but it was clearly growing out of the stone!
"Ahh, here." The villager produced an iron chisel and picked up a nearby rock. He gave the chisel a good few hits before a chunk of the stone, the size of Aureole's whole palm, fell to the ground with several pebbles. "You've got quite the sharp eye. Make sure you keep it."
He retrieved the stone and handed her the larger one of the few that had crumbled off. "Here. You spotted it. It's only fitting you are given one of the larger ones."
Aureole blinked a few times as the stone was place in her hand. This was... Rather generous of the villager. So much that it worried her a little bit. Out of kindness or not, he didn't seem too bothered with nearly leaving her behind. A quick shake of her head and she ran to catch up with him.
"A-ah! Thank you!"
