[Quest 10] Harvest Tour [Olivia/Andrew]

Quote:

Your character has been invited by a villager to harvest on top of the remote glacier infringing on the northern outskirts of the village. What an honour!

- The walk is very steep and treacherous. You are allowed to harvest as much as you'd like until you slip and fall down the glacier all the way back to town (must remake thread). This quest is only considered completed if you get the rare machalite ore.

Roll 1d6 and continue rolling until you slip and fall back to town OR get the machalite ore. Really, whatever comes first. Make sure to rp it out.

1. You spot some beautiful crystal fragments. You manage to get the machalite ore!
2. You get distracted by a pile of bones and gather some bone fragments that are ultimately useless because you're not a gunner
3. You get distracted by some honey. It is delicious.
4. You get distracted by a pile of herbs. You pick some herbs and ask the villager what they are. He says "herbs". They are barely edible.
5. You accidentally slip and fall back to town! Oh no! (Quest fail!)
6. You find a great spot to fish but you didn't bring your fishing rod.

She couldn't recall how they had gotten out of the volcano. Everything had just sort of gone blank after Andrew had caught her (which was a nice last thought before passing out). The heat hadn't been enough to make her dissipate, her body still attempted to cool her down but it wasn't until the flame demon got her out of the volcano that everything just seemed to work better.

Olivia was on the ground when her vision cleared and things seemed to have gone back to normal. A hand was also tightly clinging onto one of Andrew's pants leg. Either a keep herself from falling face first into the ground or just reflex to keep him from running away or something. "What about the big rock?" It didn't seem to be anywhere near them.

And a village was talking to them, she realized when she looked up. Perhaps they were not aware of what had happened. Or simply didn't care. They were just being asked to do something it seemed. With a glacier?

"Someone else got it out." oh good she came to. Andrew was starting to get worried. He was deliberating not even letting her into his room again but she seemed ok now.

It was odd that they got invited up to the mountain. Well maybe they were only really inviting Olivia but Andrew couldn't just leave her yet. He needed to make sure she was ok. "Won't the glacier make you feel better?" ok they would go, Andrew was already zipping up his jacket preparing for cold. Make sure ghoul was recovered. Comfort later.

He tried to get up but suddenly noticed there was a hand attached to his pants. "Uh.... I kind of need that to go."

She mouthed out an 'oh' when he told her about the big rock but it still left her a little confused. Wasn't he supposed to get it out? But he didn't. Why didn't he? Olivia looked up at Andrew, fingers still entwined with the fabric of his pants, and blinked slowly at him.

And then turned back to the villager. Oh, right, the glacier. "I think so." Already she was, well kind of, she was still a little dazed but getting to a very cold place would help a lot. Cold was nice. But she had to get off the ground in order to get there.

It was then, and Andrew's prompt about it, that she noticed where her hand was. "Oh. Nothing seemed to be burning. That was good. "I'm sorry," but didn't let go just yet. She used her hold as a little leverage to get herself onto her feet and wobbled ever so slightly.

The wight turned back to Andrew briefly, her lips twitching into a smile before she turned to where the glacier had been pointed out to the pair. She wasn't expecting him to follow her there really. It was going to be a very cold place after all.

He waited patiently for her to get up. Now that she cooled down she looked ok. colder would be better. Even thought the mountain was a bit of a walk better was better and Andrew would make sure it happened. He walked with her over towards the mountain.

While he would make sure the ghoul was alright but that didn't mean he would be happy. He followed the Olivia up with a scowl. It quickly became more of one when he heard the crunch of snow under his feet. snow ice an the occasional pebble. This was miscible, but she seemed to like it. "Why are we looking for rocks up on a glacier anyways?"

While on the glacier, Andrew spotted a steam and scowled at it. It was nice and cool and probably had fish in it and he hated it. He just shoved his hands deeper into his pockets and pulled his wings in. Cold. Not fun. Not one bit.

Her progress to the other side of town had been a little slow, lumbering even, almost like how humans pictured the undead to walk. But once she finally hit the icier, colder patches of the village she could feel herself feeling better already. Enough for her to let out a little sigh.

It wasn't until he said something that Olivia realized that Andrew had actually followed her to the glacier. Maybe close to the outskirts of town or something, sure, if he was up to it but not to the cold parts of it. Her eyes went wide and she spun around as fast as she could - her dress got some great twirl action even as she still wobbled a little from the sudden action - "Aa! But... its cold!" She sounded worried. And better. "Why did you come here?" He didn't like the cold, this wasn't right. The ghoul's eyes creased with worry for him. What if he got all wet? What if he fell into the water or something?

She took a few steps towards him and pouted a little when he curled his wings around himself. Maybe she should tell him to go before he got himself hurt. They weren't too far from town, right? Maybe she could.. push him... or something.... - oh hey, what was that? Olivia paused in her thoughts when she caught sight of something near Andrew and suddenly deviated towards it. It was a small patch of crystals just... there on the glacier. "Pretty." She knelt down and picked one of the fragments from the ground and held it up. Was this what they were looking for maybe?

Olivia was slower than normal. Slower than even a hot sunny day. Or at least he thought she was slower than then, she certainly could creep up on people normally. He remembered a few weeks ago.

"I'll live, it's not that cold." his teeth chattered and his voice shook as his body did everything it could to warm him up. "I'm just making sure you are still alive.... I mean undead." Yeah by alive he meant whatever she counted as alive. Andrew was not so good with that whole undead thing considering she was the only undead he ever got that personal with.

"Oh good. You found it. Let's go." he paused. "I mean you are feeling better right?" as impatient as he was and as Jacken cold as he was, he could wait a little bit. Only a little though, he wouldn't last long up on the glacier in his current gear. He needed more coats and about 6 more layers, or how about small fire pit on a sled. that sounded great, a firepit on a sled. Could they get one of those? How much would it coast? They probably didn't have one of those around here though. Oh well.

He could probably nest down somewhere in the snow if he had too. He just didn't get why Olivia preferred it so Jacken cold. For now he simply shivered in the wind.

Olivia didn't believe him. At all. The pout on her face, even after finding the pretty item that would normally get a happy expression, said enough. "I am feeling better," she told him, sticking the piece of ore in her pocket. (So, that was it?) Not one hundred percent just yet but much better than she was before stepping on the glacier. Her mind wasn't clouded, didn't feel heavy and her body didn't feel like it was going to give out. Just a little weak but it would be fine soon enough, just as long as she stayed away from more volcanoes.

But, if they were done with the request then they would be able to leave. Andrew would be out of harm's way. Olivia stood up, a certain determination and plan in her head but once she looked at her hand to where his was stuffed in his pocket, she began to hesitate. The fire demon was all bundled up, wrapped in his coat and his wings. Well, that wasn't going to work.

Finding some resolve, she reached out and grabbed at part of his wing and pulled. Because his hand was otherwise elsewhere. "I do not want your fire going out because of me. That would be bad." Yes, this was a cue of their exit.

"Good." What was with the pout? Why was she pouting at him? As cold as he was, he was fine. He wasn't going to pass out or anything.

"While my fire going out would be bad, it's not going to go out over a little cold." he huffed. Just because he preferred warm didn't mean he was that susceptible to cold. "I can survive. I just don't like it." Wait was she tugging at his wing? he released it from the bundle and let her hold on to it.... and was regretting it. Her hands were as cold as ice. He needed wing gloves for the ghoul. That and he wished he had about three more layers.... he shook himself and tried to warm up a bit more. "But if you are feeling better we should probably go back towards the group. We won't want them leaving without us." That was Andrew's way of trying not to admit that he couldn't feel his wing tip very well anymore. He followed her down.
