Xander had talked to Lily only moment prior and his sister had confirmed she was indeed dying and didn’t know how much longer she could keep fighting. She told him it was something on her homeworld that had done this to her and likely the only chance to beat it was to go there. He felt so trapped and pressed for time, sitting in his car driving home. He was going faster than he should, he knew, but at the moment he needed to get home and grab Ian and Dessie. He was going to need a plan and all the help he could get if they were going to save Lily.

When he got into the house he headed straight for the basement, going past the game area and movie theater over to the far hallway where Ian’s room was. He knocked quickly, in quick succession, “meet me in the library in 5 minutes. It’s important. It’s life or death.”

He didn’t wait for an answer before heading up, all the way up to where Dessie should hopefully be in her room. He knocked on her door and waited, “Dessie come to the library. It’s important. Lily needs our help.”

Fiction1119
Dessie had been working on her homework half heartedly for the last few hours after making it home from school. It had been an uneventful day where the teachers droned on and on and on until Dessie thought longingly of once more being a street urchin where all she had to worry about was getting into fights she couldn't win. She had hidden in her room after getting home hoping to avoid anyone, there were still too many people in the house for the young girl to be happy.

Tossing her math workbook down with a hiss of disgust Dessie grabbed her sketchbook and sat at a little table situated by the balconies French doors. She carefully added details to the large drawing she had been working on for the past few months. It was a comic style sketch of the Jacobs family and Dessie had been hoping to get it done in time to give to Lily when she got better, Dessie refused to believe that the Amazonian wouldn't get better... She had to believe that.

Dessie was working on a particularly detailed part when a knock on her door startled her, her hand skittering across the page leaving a light gray slash across Lily's body. She looked down at the damage in horror as Xander's words sunk in, no the mark couldn't be a foreshadowing of things to come... Dessie wouldn't let it. She deliberately put down her pencil and made her way out of the room. The drawing could be fixed but if Dessie could do something to help Lily she wouldn't hesitate. She strode into the library and asked, "who needs to be hurt?" Violence was what the 15 year old knew best and unlike Xander she had no qualms punching the s**t out of something if it was needed.

Sleet Tempest Snape
Ian had, lucky for Xander, been in his room. Curled up in a chair behind his computer screen he had looked up at the knocking but didn’t get to invite the person, who he discovered moments later was Xander, inside. The urgency in the others voice coupled with the order, which booked no room for argument, had him pushing back his chair and getting to his feet. He knew Xander’s sister was sick...could this be about that? It was the only thing he could think of when the words life or death passed the others lips. So he hurried from his room, tugging at the sleeves of his hoodie, as he made his way from the basement, past the game room, and upstairs to the library. What could be going on? He hoped, desperately so, that Xander’s sister was alright and this wasn’t some discussion which would start with Ian telling them that she was dead or close to it or something of the like.

He had apparently arrived at a good time as he heard the other girls words and shook his head. Violence was not the answer, not always anyway, and she seemed the sort who was quick to jump to that as an answer to everything, though he could be wrong of course. He didn’t know the girl well, considering he wasn’t the most social of people, but rather than say anything to her his attention was on Xander. “What’s going on? What do you need?”

Quote:
Xander shook his head at Dessie and beckoned her into the library, he further beckoned Ian when he came to the door motioning for him to shut it. “Calm down Dessie. No one needs to be hurt, what we need is a plan. Lily woke up tonight and we talked. She remembered something, something important. If we can’t find a way to fix it she will die and soon.”

He sighed heavily, “She said that something in a grove on her planet is doing this to her. Draining her and that she barely has enough energy to fight back. The answer seemed to be that we need to get there and destroy whatever it is that’s gotten a hold of her.”

He looked to Dessie and Ian, “That means removing Lily from the hospital, but I don’t think. I’m not sure she would survive. She just doesn’t seem to have the strength and to get to Maia we need her to power up. I don’t know what to do, but we have to plan. We have to find a way. Lily just can’t slip away like this.”

He got up and grabbed a stack of paper and some pens. “I need to you to help me while we try to think of a way to get her out of the hospital without being caught. My parents know about her being Maia, but not about me being Shang. I’m not sure they will want to risk getting her released from the hospital to try to save her, they don't really care for or approve of the senshi thing and honestly it will take too long. There is paperwork and since Lily is still waking up from time to time she still has a say, but her waking is so few and far between. It’s really up to us. We need to get her out and straight to Maia.”

He handed paper and a pen to each of them, “Write to anyone you can think of and let them know we need help and what’s going on as clearly as possible. I can send them, I dont need to be Shang to do it. I’ll start with Shalott, Dessie write to Pompeii, Chaldene you to whoever you can think of. While we do that, we have to come up with a plan.”

Quote:
Dessie was scared. There were too many ifs to this semi plan. She hadn't had to deal with a prolonged illness like Lily's but now that there was a chance of helping her Dessie was scared that there wasn't anything she could do. "Is there anything on Shang that could help? Any plant or something?" It was grasping at straws but she would be willing to do anything to keep her new family together. "Is...is it worth checking my own homeworld?" The young senshi had not actually traveled to her own planet, or anyone else's. She knew the mechanics behind it but she always said she couldn't sit still long enough to do so, what she never admitted to anyone... Not even to herself, was the thought of leaving the one place she was beginning to love and potentially being unable to return hurt so much she didn't want to risk it.

She took the paper Xander offered and quickly found a place to write. Dessie had to take a few deep breaths to calm her racing heart before her shaking hands were steady enough to start writing. "What do you want us to say exactly?" Dessie knew exactly five order members but was willing to write as many letters as Xander wanted, after all it was all she could do for now. "How far do we need to be from the hospital anyway for this to work?" Was it possible that the simplest answer was the best one? Could they 'leave' on the roof or from nearby? Her mind was racing with hundreds of thoughts but none were really settling down into a good plan.

Quote:
Listening to Xander he found himself locating a chair and sitting himself down in it heavily. “s**t...that’s not good.” He whispered as he toyed with his piercings and when the paper was offered he took it. “We need to work fast then...and get her out of the hospital but they have cameras and security…” He said slowly while already forming a plan. Should he offer it? Xander might not like the idea, might even scold him for it, but he was likely to grasp at anything right now which might help save his sister.

“I can handle the cameras and security...leave them to me. I just wanna be close at hand - I’m going with you if you’re going to Maia with you all - or wherever you’re going.” He spoke up, confident as he stared at Xander.

Looking down at the blank sheet of paper, the pen in his hand, he wondered who to write to. he didn’t know a lot of senshi or knights and just...he didn’t think himself close enough to any of them to ask. The only names which came to mind were the two he wanted to see the most at the moment, the two he needed to see were alright and have a talk with; or shout at. Ganymede and Valhalla. Scribbling out a quick letter he was brief and direct- to the point. He told them what was going on, that Maia needed to get to her planet or she’d die, and he signed it. he told them who to talk to - Shang and left it at that. He didn’t know what else to add to the letter, since they didn’t have more of a plan.

Quote:
He looked to Dessie asked if there was anything on Shang that would help. “I’m not sure, as far as I know currently no there isn’t. Had I thought this was magic related I would have looked, but now we are pressed for time and we don’t really have time to go exploring. I wish we did have time to go to any try and see, but we have to go with what we know. What we know is that something on Maia is causing this and we have to get there as soon as possible.”

He started penning his letter to Shalott letting her know what was going on, that his sister was in danger of dying if they couldn't find a solution and that he could use her help. He let her know the details, that they were trying to come up with a plan and that he would contact her again soon, before signing it and sending it off. He looked up to Dessie, “Tell her you and Shang need her help. Explain what we found out about Maia, that we are trying to come up with a plan and to be ready to go as soon as we come up with a way. She’ll come. I’m certain of it. Maybe I ought to text her, but no, she can get the letter even if she isn’t powered. I know who I should text though, because its not quite nightfall yet.”

He started to text Orah, to explain the situation, telling what was going on with Maia and that they were trying to come up with a plan. Mid text he stopped, and started writing on the letters that Ian wrote, noting as PS under Ian’s writing that, it was Shang and Maia was his sister and that he would contact them later, when they came up with as solid a plan as they were going to get. He sent the letters off and went back to texting Orah, ended the message with, ‘can you come to my house?’

He looked to Ian, “are you sure you can handle the camera and the security? You don’t have to tell me the details, its better if I don’t know. Just remember its a hospital, so make sure not to make it last to much longer than we need and try not to mess any other systems.”

“If we can cut the camera’s then we can get Lily in and out pretty easily. The problem is how can we get her enough strength to power up.” He briefly fiddled with the pen in his pocket and frowned, he couldn’t ask that of Acrucis, he just couldn’t. This was life or death though and would Acrucis even be able to help. He was so torn.

Quote:
Dessie quickly wrote out the note to Pompeii. She not only provided all the details but asked if she had any ideas as well. Dessie had met the lady a few times and while the knight was a bit strange she had a way of thinking outside of the box. Once the letter was done she passed it to Xander and began to write another one, generic this time, so he could send it out to whoever he thought needed to get it. She glanced at Ian when he said he could cut the cameras at the hospital, apparently she knew less about her housemate then she thought.

"If he can cut the cameras what about leaving from the roof? It would mean a shorter distance to take her and when we come back it can be explained away." Dessie shrugged and added, "you know like Lily woke up and asked for some air or something." She didn't really know what the rules were at hospitals. Other than going as a child, both as a patient and with her mom, and going to visit Lily. "Guess we would need cats to dampen all the signatures because at minimum you are going to have four plus everyone coming to help." She shot Xander a look daring him to tell her to remain home. There was no way she wasn't coming to help.

Quote:
He might not be a confident senshi but his computer skills he was confident in and so when questioned he nodded his head, serious green eyes focusing on Xander. “I can do it. If I wanted I could bring their system under my control - I know I’m that good.” He was good, his mother had joked more than once that he was born with a computer. He was simply skilled with it and self taught for the most part, books and talking to others did help and add to the skills one possessed though.

“I can’t stay behind my screen and give them control back, not if I plan to go with you all. I’ll take over and put the cameras on a loop feed, so they see the same thing over and over...I’ll see if I can’t at least have the time stamp actually show the correct time - so it’s harder to catch and gives us more time. I don’t know how attentive the people watching their security videos are and I don’t want us caught too soon. As for how long I’ll have control...I can try and set a timer or something...I’ll see what I can do and see if I can have my computer pull out on it’s own at a certain point. I’m sure I can manage something in order to assure that I can go with you all and that I’m in control for as long as we need to be.” he’d get to work on that, if he had to write up some code on his own from scratch he’d need the time but if he could work on it he would.

Toying with the piercings he had he stood up slowly and paced, letting his thoughts wander over what he knew, what he could do and how he could try this. “I’ll need to get into their system - soon. I have to have a peek about it and see what I can fiddle with and how. I know I can get us the time we need.” He just wasn’t sure how he’d go about letting that control go. “If I can’t program something to automatically, after a designated amount of time, to pull out then I’ll leave a back door and instructions or something for their people to find or I’ll fix it when we get back. There is only so much I can do.” Especially when working with little time to figure it out. He’d do something though.

Turning to Xander he smiled at him. “I know I’m talking about hacking computers and it’s for a good thing. But I also know that by what I’m saying you have to know I’ve hacked computers before…” How to word this…? He wasn’t even sure what he was thinking or wanted to say, he just knew what he was feeling. “I don’t want you to think I’m some bad guy...or some trouble maker or anything. I hack computers and will after this; I’ll always try to not get caught and not bring trouble to the doorstep but - but it’s what I do and what I’m good at. It’s a skill that’s good to have.” Especially like now. If he hadn’t had these skills, hadn’t done all the hacking he had in the past, where would they be now? Did what he was trying to say, which he wasn’t even fully sure on, understandable for the other? Did he understand that he was trying to explain what he did and that he’d be careful but he wouldn’t stop, even after this, and not to ask him and not think badly of him? he didn’t want the other to ask him to stop or try and stop him or turn him into anyone for anything he might do in the future or anything he’d already done. He didn’t want Xander to think less of him or think negatively about him because he sat behind a computer screen breaking into things, which was kinda illegal.

Whimsical Blue
When the message came on her cellphone, Orah was a little surprised, but also pleased. She hadn’t heard from Xander in a while and it was always good to hear from him. The message itself, however, was not pleasing. It upper her heart rate as her grip tightened on the plastic and glass, scrolling through the whole of it as her eyes swept the text.

Quote:
I’m on my way, I’ll be there in a half hour.
She typed the message out quickly before she dug her keys out of her bag and let herself into her apartment. After dropping off all her stuff and restocking a couple of things in her book bag, she was out the door again. The trip went quickly, though the young woman was careful with her driving. There was no sense getting pulled over…

The small white car slid into a free parking spot and Orah was out in a flash, trotting to the door as she sent a message to let Xander know she was there.

Quote:
Xander looked to Dessie who suggested leaving from the roof, “I think that would be best. It will likely be easier to get Lily to the roof than possibly attempting to leave any other way. It however isn’t going to be quite that simple.”

His head turned to Ian as he spoke, “a loop might be good, but we are going to need a distraction or two. It won’t do to say Lily woke up and needed air. She is hooked up to quite a bit of stuff.” He sighed, “someone will need to cause a distraction on the 5th floor where she is so we can get her out of her room and onto the elevator. It might be good to have distractions on other floors too. A way sort of to give the security something to respond to, maybe grant us more time to keep them from noticing the loop or rather being able to stop and fix it.”

His pen in hand he started penning a letter to Phact explaining the situation and asking if she would help, as well as taking the generic letter from Dessie penning a name of it. He was feeling pretty desperate and was trying to think of anyone that might possibly help them. He only had a few he knew would help, beyond that was a prayer.

He looked at his phone as it buzzed and felt a small amount of relief, knowing that Orah was going to come. He hoped she could bring some more ideas to the table and would maybe know of more people who would help her.

He looked up to Ian as he finished Phact’s letter and sent it off, “I do not think you are a bad guy and I won’t tell you to stop. I’ll consider your ability a gift and leave it at that. I really appreciate your help and I grateful you’ll try not to bring any trouble to my front door. Who knows maybe one day you’ll have a job in cyber security.”

He sent off the letter Dessie wrote before his phone went off again and he stood up. “A friend is here, her name is Orah and she going to help us. I’m going to go let her in, but don’t stop brainstorming guys. We still have to figure out the biggest problem. Getting Lily to the roof when she barely has the energy, the strength to stay awake more than 10 minutes at a time.”

He left out of the library and headed down to the front door.

Quote:
She watched as Ian gave his ideas and contribution. She even remained silent when Xander left the room to let in yet another person who likely could do more than she could. Dessie racked her brain as she wrote out yet more generic letters requesting help, she ended up scraping one when she found she had started to doodle random shapes. "Damn. Damn. Damn." She shoved away from the table and started to pace. All Dessie knew how to do was fight, there wasn't anything else she could do. She paced back and forth trying to think of anything that could help. She could create a distraction but it wouldn't help much... And likely get Xander in a hell of a lot of trouble when they got back. What they needed was some kind of alarm or something to go off simultaneously that wouldn't track back to what they were doing.

"That's it!" She came to a stop as her thought formed fully. With a bright smile she turned to Ian and asked, "if you can mess with the cameras could you also mess with the alarms? I would suggest the fire alarms but that would likely bring the fire department and cause too much of a problem." And it might set off the sprinklers, she added silently. Something that would cause a lot of issues for the hospital. "But there has to be like door alarms or elevator alarms or something like that. What about a power surge or something? Could something like that be controlled and yet keep any damages to a minimum?"

Quote:
Surprised, for a moment, by Xander taking it so well he nodded his head then slowly. “A loop will work, I’ll see if I can do something with it to cover up that it’s a loop.” But what? He had an idea but was it possible? Some people said anything was possible with computers now a days but it was and wasn’t true really. It all depended on the people who programed and their abilities really, at least as far as he was concerned. Could he do something like he was thinking?

It was while Xander was out, letting someone else into the house, that Dessie came up with an idea and had him nodding as he tilted his head. “I can mess with whatever is connected to their computers.I’ll have to see but I doubt the elevators will be but their computers will be. I could always tinker with them, while still letting them work.” He would have to do something...a prank of sorts. But he’d manage a distraction for the group so they could get Lily from the place and onto the roof. “I’ll think about what I’m going to do but I’ll put something together.” For a short time he’d own a hospital, how interesting a concept. “I’ll keep the damages to a minimum, I wouldn’t want to cause too much issues especially for a hospital.”

Quote:
The young woman fidgeted at the doorway until it opened, revealing a man she knew well, looking far too tired and strung out for her liking.

“Xander!” She breathed as she stepped forward to wrap her arms around his neck and give him a firm hug. When she released him again it was to step back and grip his arms, studying his face and posture for clues to his wellbeing. “I’m so sorry… are you doing ok? I want to help… just let me know what I can do, what you need. What do you have planned so far?”
There were so many questions, and the front door was not the place for them. Orah ushered the red-head inside as she pushed the door shut behind her.

Quote:
Xander smiled at Orah and returned her hug squeezing his friend tight before letting her go. "I'm okay, running off very little sleep, but I'll be fine. Thank you for coming. I can't lose my sister. I just can't."

He turned and headed for the steps motioning for Orah to follow, "Dessie and Ian are upstairs continuing to try to brainstorm a way to make all this work. We have very little time and we have to get Lily out of the hospital and to Maia."

He turned left at the top of the stairs and entered the solitary door that stood to the left. It was a library, and inside Ian and Dessie were still brainstorming. "Ian says he can make the camera loop so we're not seen and then we can leave from the roof." He looked to the pair in the room, "This is my friend Orah. Orah this is Dessie and this is Ian. Other than what I mentioned we've also written and sent letters asking for help. If you know anyone that would or could help Maia I can send them a letter. I don't have to be powered up to do it and they'll get it as soon as they power up."

He sat down, "Come up with anything else?"

Quote:
Dessie smiled at Ian. So they had part of the plan, it was better than nothing at least. "Yeah I don't think Xander would appreciate any lasting damage to the place. That and we don't want to mess with anything that is important." She was thinking of more ideas when Xander came back into the library with his friend. She studied the other girl and figured she had to atleast know about the war and Xander's part in it if she wasn't in it herself. It still surprised Dessie when she met yet another knight or senshi, granted it was only like a few. It was still a bit hard to think that everyone in this room likely had an alter ego and it could even be said jokingly that they were there own little Justice League.

She nodded to Orah and began to pace once more. Her bare feet making next to no sound on the carpet as she moved from one point to the next. Sitting still right then was hard for her but still she pointed to the few more letters she had ready to go. "Wrote a few more you just have to address and send out. Is it worth asking to the people who get them to contact even more others?" The blond turned towards Xander and added, "Would more fighters be best for whatever is going on? We also figured that Ian could work some more computer mayhem and created the diversion too using the hospitals system somehow." She shrugged slightly indicating she had no real idea how it would work, computers weren't her thing but fighting was.

Quote:
Dessie wasn’t the only one with an issue in keeping still, as he was moving about the room while thinking over what he could do and what he could try, or find out about doing and quickly. He didn’t have time to learn new skills that would be trying for him. He needed to do things and quickly and anything he might need to learn would have to be quick and easy to pick up. Could he manage to do programming, writing anything he needed, so fast? he didn’t see much of a choice in the matter and he was fairly certain he could manage it. If he did he knew, for certain, that he’d be keeping the programs saved onto cd’s for possible future use.

Looking up at the two who entered, or in Xander’s case reentered, the library he managed a quick smile to the female. “It’s a pleasure, though it would be nicer to meet under better circumstances.” Maybe after this they could talk or just...something, anything but this.
“Like Dessie said, I’ll create more of a distraction, something far more obvious, in order to buy more time and keep them from discovering the loop on the cameras. I’ll have to get into the system to night, the sooner the better, and see just what I can take control over and figure out a plan. I’m thinking some sort of cartoon characters dancing across the computer screens. it won’t stop them from typing and using the computers but it will certainly be distracting enough. I don’t want to stop people from working but I certainly want their attention - all of it.” And he was sure that would grab and hold attention, it would be in their face and non-stop...and annoying if nothing else. They’d have to focus on that and hopefully not notice the video cameras he’d also be taking control of and tinkering about with.

Finally he moved over to Orah and held out a hand. “Xander already introduced me as Ian...but you can also call me Chaldene, will’o’the wisp.” he stated with a hesitant, and somewhat shy, smile in place.

Quote:
The two people waiting for them were not people Orah had ever met before, but they were with Xander and that was enough assurance for her. He trusted them, she could too. Lily was more important.

The young woman took the hand offered and gave Ian a smile in return. “I’m Orah. Also Ida of Orchids.”

Chaldene… that name was familiar. It pinched her dark brows together as she tried to dredge it out of the jumble of memories her life had become. She’d heard it before and even seen this man before, but it was hard to place where and when… or even if it had been truly meeting him. It had that flavor to it, of memories of the future. Pushing that to the side, she glanced to the other girl, watching her pace as she took in the situation.

“A distraction?” She murmured, wondering. Cartoon characters… camera loops… it sounded large and involved, something that could disrupt the whole hospital when they simply wanted to remove one girl with as little fuss as possible. “Xander… if Lily is dying and the hospital can’t do anything for her… can’t you ask to take her home? I mean, not everyone wants to die in a hospital, some want to be at home among friends and family… But if there isn’t time to move her, why not teleport directly from her room? It doesn't matter if you’re inside or outside, really… and it wouldn’t force us to move her. It’ll take enough energy just to power up and teleport… but I could maybe help with that.”

Orah gave Xander a sheepish look as she straightened her book bag on her shoulder. “Some things have happened since the last time I saw you… and I don’t know if you’ve had memories? Of a camp in the woods where a bunch of senshi and knights lived?” She glanced at the others, unsure if they remembered anything either. You could never really tell, who remembered and how much.

Quote:
Xander listened to Ian and nodded thinking that could definitely help. If the screens in the hospital started playing silly cartoons in the corner and randomly running across the screens they would be scrambling to fix that and less likely to notice the security cameras were on loop. He went to the table to sit down and looked up at Orah when she addressed them.

“I thought that too, but am overly worried that I won’t be able to convince my parents. Lily is their miracle baby, unexpected when they thought they couldn’t have any more children. Also I have to go through the process after convincing them, of actually getting her released and since while Lily is sleep a lot when she wakes is still coherent the hospital will likely argue against us wanting to see what she wants when she wakes, which isnt very often. She just doesn't have a lot of energy, she says its a fight to wake up, like swimming through mud. I just don’t know how much time we have and I am not sure I can take the extra time needed for that process when the answer might very well be no, and then we are back where we are now.”

He sighed and leaned back in his chair, “I don’t think even with the camera loop that it would not go amiss that several people entered Lily’s room and none of them came back out. There is no telling how long we will be gone. They may very well check on her, then what. I mean we can’t just walk in powered up, that would be bad so we would be really screwed.”

He stopped when he realized she said she could help with the energy problem then went to explain about some memories. Xander looked very confused, “I don’t recall anything like that.” He looked at her curiously, “is it something I should recall. I know strange things happen in this war. Lily once told me she would go to sleep and wake up and what was it … er Elysion, but that was some time ago.”

Quote:
Dessie had the grace to flush slightly, she knew that unlike Ian her greeting wasn't very friendly. It was something she was working on since Dessie figured Xander would appreciate the kindness. She turned to Orah and said hesitantly and rather bluntly, "Antares of scorpions." She couldn't and wouldn't shake hands, she couldn't even stand being brushed up against no way was she shaking hands, but she did gesture to one of the free chairs. "Don't suppose you know anyone different that Xander can contact do you? The more help we have the better, right?" That last question was directed to Xander. She focused on the conversation and nearly cursed when the mention of the Lily and Xander's folks came up, Dessie had completely forgotten about them.

They would need to be distracted and kept out of their hair while the plan unfolded. "I..." She attempted to speak and had to clear her throat before beginning again, "I can keep your mom out of the hospital for the day atleast. I know she really wants to spend time together." Dessie had turned away and shoved her hands in her jean pockets. The distraction would likely entail shopping and considering her shabby appearance, faded and worn jeans paired with a dull black, nearly gray, tshirt, it was a wonder it hadn't already occurred. Such a distraction though would likely remove her from any fighting something the young girl was loath to give up. "Don't know about your dad and Rose tho. Could..." She trailed off and only after a moment asked in a slightly stronger voice, "could.... No. Would Rose be able to help some way?" Dessie turned back to the group and nearly retracted her offer as a distraction but held her tongue, even if her eyes practically begged Xander to come up with something else so she could be in on the rescue, since that is what it seemed it would have to be.

She remained silent, her mind spinning with thoughts and plans. Quietly contemplating everything she had heard and filing away questions she would have to ask Xander like what was this Elysion he was talking about. How much stranger could her life get than it already was?

Quote:
It was also a name he knew, and a sphere. “Orchids…” Whispering the word more to himself than the female. Shaking her hand he let his drop to his side after a moment before retreating back to his seat. “Yes, a distraction that’ll keep their eyes off of places we’d rather not have them.” He could do it, complicated as it was, it would take time but he could start tonight on the project and get it set up and ready to go - he hoped. Biting down on his bottom lip he shook his head - he had to do it. He had to get it done and it had to work; there was no other option.

Those words which Ida, or rather Orah, spoke about memories had him pausing, even going rigid in his seat. Stiff and green eyes fixed on her he had been going to say something, he didn’t know what would have poured past his lips, but Xander and Dessie were then talking and it broke him out of his thoughts - for the moment. “Don’t worry Xander, we’ll get Lily out and I’ll handle the hospital distraction - leave it to me.” Confidence and self assuredness. He would get them the time they needed to act. A glance to Orah and he smiled. “I’d prefer to go about things the nice legal way, trust me I don’t like the risk in this, but it’s like Xander said. It’s not something we can risk the time it would take to go about it all nice and properly.” As much as he disliked it. He wasn’t against hacking and tampering with things, far from it, but he had to work out all these things and there was a risk of messing up, always was, and bringing trouble right to the Jacobs’ family home and he didn’t wanna see that happen.

“Orrrr...since Dessie wants to go perhaps set your parents up going out with friends. I’m sure they need to relax or at least talk about things, to unwind, a bit and friends might help them as a distraction.” He stated as he sought to offer a solution which might help the female, as she obviously wanted to be armpit deep in this whole thing.

Finally, with Xander and Dessie addressed, he turned his attention back to Orah and whilst he took a moment to tinker with his piercing he found his voice. “I have memories too...of a future gone to hell in a nice neat little handbasket. Not a future I’d like to live through. I remember at the end...after a General King...Benitoite...was killed. I was forcibly corrupted by the same General Queen who killed him. I - I can’t...I don’t wanna see that happen. I don’t want to be corrupted and join them - ever. Acrucis was killed then too...she died before the General King. I watched her die and him, and he wasn’t that bad actually...at least not then. I’m not sure I’d wanna meet him now though. I mean, I don’t know if he remembers a thing and if not...well I’m sure he wouldn’t be friendly towards a senshi.” And he was starting to ramble. Upon realizing it he flush pink and pulled a couch pillow to his lap and pressed his face to it, to hide his cheeks and shut himself up. The whole topic seemed to bring forth several emotions and set him off into a rambling fit. Peeking over the edge of the pillow green eyes watched the others in the room.

There was a moment of sadness when Xander said he remembered nothing and Orah drew a breath to let it out slowly. At least one of them remembered, the boy Ian. The fact that others remembered the same things was a mark on the side of ‘no, I’m not really insane’, though she was always sort of worried that all of these things she remembered, that hadn’t happened, were just symptoms of an unbalanced mind...

“Its fine.” She said as she shrugged, brushing off that topic. “Not everyone remembers, and its all different levels. Some only remember little things, others remember everything… but that wasn’t really the point. I have a way to give Lily energy now. Its something that happened a little while ago, while I was on Ida. Ganymede can do it too, and Babylon of Mercury. If I can give her enough, she might be able to take us to Maia to fix whatever is making her so sick.”

It was something, at least… something she could contribute. Once, she might have taken charge here, made a plan and organized people… but she wasn’t that person any more. This was Xander’s thing, he was the one to lead them this time. But at least she could be useful in a small way.

Xander shook his head to Dessie, then nodded, “Rose can keep them busy. I will tell her what’s going on and she might not like it, but she’ll distract them. Don’t worry about that. That’s an easy part.”

He paused briefly and his eyes went a little wide when Ian started talking about these memories and mention Acrucis and Benitoite. He frowned deeply, not at all like thinking about the girl dying, as it was now after new years he was a bit over protective. He still had her pen, so she wouldn't try to power up while she was in the hospital. He needed to give it back now. Beni, had helped to save Acrucis, but he didn’t know what to say about a confirmation of him being not so bad in the future. It was like alluding to this happening, to their world heading in there direction.

He wanted to ask if he and Maia had been there because it would have gave him hope that this would work, but he feared an answer in the negative.

He was drawn from his thoughts by Orah’s words and his face literally lit up. “How can you do that? If that’s possible that problem is at least solved! And Ganymede and Babylon too. I forgot to send a note to Babylon. I will do that now. I think Ian, you wrote to Ganymede right?”

He started scribbling a note to Babylon, he did not at all know him well, but they’d met and he hoped the other would help. He mentioned the possibility of Maia needed an energy boost and sent the letter off watching it disappear as he pressed it closed with the seal on his ring.

“It seems like maybe we can make this work,” he said with a nod. “I still think it might be good to cause some sort of commotion on a lower floor, outside of the computer distractions, just make sure we to be careful and not get caught. But I will handle that later.”

“Dessie, you will be with Ian, keep a look out for him and when everything is done, the two of you make it too the roof. I will see if I can get Sheena to mask aura’s as everyone gathers. Orah, you should come with me and we’ll get Lily out.”

Xander looked to Ian, “I’m going to go back to the hospital shortly and I can take you with, so you can get a look at the systems. Once you’ve figured things out on your end we can better relay the plan to the other’s. All this may unfortunately be a surprise for Lily, since I’m not sure I will be able to wake her to inform her before hand, but she’ll adjust.”

Dessie breathed a sigh of relief. Ian seemed to realize that she wanted, no needed, to go and help Lily. Her smile said all of this as she cautiously sat in a vacant chair. Pacing wasn't helping her burn off her excess energy so she might as well sit there quietly and hope to fade to the background.

If they didn't think about her being there Dessie might glean more information about these memories everyone seemed to have, except herself and Xander that is. Questions remained unanswered as she heard that Orah had a way to solve one of the hardest puzzles of this mission. She got back to her feet and once more started to roam the room, her mind was running full speed. Soon everything would be ready and they could finally do something!

She turned to Xander and nodded her understanding. She was going and she would get to act as lookout for Ian, Dessie wouldn't be a pointless part of the team. She was nearly dancing in her shoes she was so anxious to get started but when Xander said he and Ian would be leaving shortly she stopped cold. Her guardian was right, Ian needed time to work and Dessie wouldn't be any help at this point of the plan. It also meant she would have to remain home. Patrolling or even just slipping out might make Xander change his mind about including her and she wouldn't risk that. Containing her impatience was difficult but she was finally able to ask, "what can I do here?"

“Y-yeah, I sent a letter to Ganymede. I know she was involved in the New Years thing.” So would Xander, since he’d told Xander about it. “I don’t know how she is...but if she comes Valhalla likely will also.” And then, at some point, he could talk to them both and question them; maybe shout at them. But it would be good to have them there to help.

“Ida...you mean the markings on some senshi? I saw them on Ganymede.” He questioned as he thought of those strange marks, marks he had similar to in the future. He didn’t know anything about them now so he was taking a guess really. “Can you tell me about them - later of course?” He asked even as Xander continued on with the plans. Going now to the hospital would help him get an idea of things but he wouldn’t know everything till he had hacked into their computer systems. That would tell him everything he needed to and tell him just how hard, or easy, this plan of his would be. He didn’t say this thought, it wouldn’t help nor hurt things right now. He’d hack his way in tonight and see what he could find and start on things ahead of time. “I just need to know when we’re going to do this Xander, so I know how much time I have to work on things.” Tinkering with a piercing he looked to Dessie for a moment. Clearly she had a lot of pent up energy and needed some way to deal with it. “Before we go...you should try and let off some energy...a run or something.” So she wasn’t so jittery or anything. He couldn’t imagine trying to work, or do anything, when filled with so much energy. It seemed like something that would be very hard for him, keep him from focusing and doing things which took more effort or care to detail.

Orah settled back as she watched them all talk excitedly, pleased to be able to contribute. Her fingers curled around the strap of her bag and she nodded when Ian turned to her.

“Ganymede has marks on her palms. Mine go… up my arm, over my neck and face.” She said as she extended a hand and gestured with the other, waving up her arm and half of her face. “They look kinda like henna… flowers and leaves, and they glow. I don’t mind talking about what happened later, if you want to.”

The whole event was still strange to her, even if there were signs of it happening to other people. Maybe another open mind could ferret out more answers from what had happened, bring a little more understanding.

“Xander, just let me know where you want me to meet you and I’ll be ready.”

There was so much to think about, but it seemed like they had a plan and it gave him some level of relief. He looked to Dessie when she asked what she could do and thought carefully. “Getting some of that frustrated energy out does sound like a good idea, but no fighting. Go for a swim or a run. Otherwise, meet me in the park tonight. We will like get some responses from the letters.”

He looked to Ian and gave a nod, “you should get what you need for the hospital to look at the systems so we can head out.”

He looked to Orah, “You can come to the park tonight if you like, but otherwise, I promise to contact you as soon as we are ready to go. Thank you so much for helping. I don’t know what I’d do if this thing takes my sister. Thanks I can always count on you.”
