The castle Basement is quite plain and it's only real purpose is simply to connect the north hall( http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=24763101 ) to the south hall.

The environment is the same as the other halls, but there are no pillars with archways. The east wall has two great amber windows in it's muddle, with about eighteen feet between them. The hall is lined with brush at the feet of the walls and lit by four crystal torches along the west wall, with three fountains flowing between then, from the top of the wall, to water the foliage. The west wall's foliage is also thicker than the foliage of the rest of the basement's four halls.
