A trip down Calico Lane was also a trip down memory lane for Elegancia. Several hours after her arrival in Destiny City and she still couldn't bring herself to go to her flat. Delicately cradling Foochie, her dachshund, as if he were a baby, Elegancia sat on an intricate bench across from a marble fountain. Normally she'd be clawing her way through all of the designer clothes in the surrounding chic boutiques, but her mind was still full of questions. The same question lingered, bouncing around in her brain like a moon bounce: why had she come back? It certainly wasn't for the people. After several minutes of vacantly staring at nothing, Foochie was growing restless: he stirred in her arms, lightly growled for her attention, and then let out a bark. He was hungry and wanted to move on. An annoyed sigh blew out of Elegancia's mouth as she put him down and slid her sunglasses on. Normally she would coddle the spoiled pooch and talk to him like a baby, but today she simply stood up, dusted her lovely rump of any filth from the park bench, and made her way to a quaint café a few stores down. When Elegancia arrived, no one opened the door for her: strike one. " Excuse me," she exclaimed, "where has the service gone while I was away? No one opened the door for me!" It was then that she noticed that she was talking to nobody: the hostess stand was vacant. Strike two!! The spoiled young woman with auburn locks stormed around the corner, expecting to see all the servers slacking off, but what she saw instead left her feeling sick. An amorphous blob of what seemed to be tea, full of café patrons and workers alike, filled a majority of the room. Some of the people were unconscious, others were wide awake and staring at her in horror. Because she had neglected her duties as a guardian for several years, her first instinct was not to transform into Rosalind: it was to grab Foochie and make a run for it. Delicately picking up her dog, Elegancia made a good effort to be as silent as possible, so as to go unnoticed. Unfortunately, Foochie was not on the same page: he could sense his mistress was scared and began to bark at the monster made of a leafy libation. The blob then revealed its true form: a female humanoid-like creature emerged from the blob and without a word shot a gooey substance at Elegancia. Her foot was then stuck to the floor and she could not escape. Strike three. It was then, though, that Elegancia could feel the presence of... No, it couldn't be. Could it?

Genevieve had been out shopping, as was a common occurance for her, the tote bag she carried hung from her left shoulder while several shopping bags hung from her arms as she moved down the sidewalk intent on getting a drink and perhaps a light lunch, she could use something to fill her empty stomach - all this shopping had made her hungry and thirsty.
Making her way toward one of the cafe's near where she was shopping she was surprised no one was there to open the doors, as she was rather used to. Though she chalked it up to the intense heat the city had been suffering under. The city seemed to not only have been suffering a heat wave as of late but also people had gone missing and while normally she would suspect the terrorists, which she still partially did, she figured it might also be something else...something more. The nights she spent out patrolling seemed quieter somehow...less auras around for her to pick up on.
Shaking her head, long locks of dark hair whipping back and forth, she entered the cafe and it was when she saw no one that she felt herself go on alert. She was new to being a senshi, had little experience, but even she didn't like how this felt and thus she ducked behind the hostess stand and pulled out the pen she had learned to keep with her at all times. Her shop[ping bags and tote bag slid off her arms and shoulder and landed lightly on the floor. This wasn't good...but she knew no one to call for help if it was needed, something she'd have to remedy quickly after today she decided.
Pen in hand she held it close to her chest as the words of magic passed her lips and the lacy dress she's been wearing was replaced by something entirely different. White was the main color but it was followed close by black and red with golden yellow rounding out the should be, and maybe was, gothic sort of dress.
Heels of red clicked on the floor as she stood up and made her way to the seating area and that was when she had her suspicions confirmed. "Youma."

Aurostibite had been at the cafe already for the past twenty minutes, subtly siphoning off energy from its various patrons. It had been a while; he felt a little rusty, but at the same time, he had to continue his duties and continue with his loyalties to the Negaverse. He was, after all, nothing if not entirely dedicated, and especially after everything that happened, he felt an even stronger desire to prove said loyalties.
In the space of time that the hostess had stepped out the back of the cafe to smoke a cigarette, he'd found her, working quietly and efficiently. She'd struggled a little at first, but he was not cruel; he'd lowered her carefully down to the steps, stripping off one of his gloves to touch her neck and feel the energy pulsing, expression entirely set in stone. She wouldn't be hurt - he didn't work that way - but he still had to do it.
A power signature had rustled close by, slipping through the air to reach him, and he tugged his hat lower, eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced around to try and find the source. Aurostibite glanced down at his unconscious victim and slipped his glove back on, stepping quietly from the back to the front, glancing left and right.
It was easy to see what had happened - a creature lurked in the lobby, the rest of the patrons and workers swallowed within it so that it created some horrifically awkward parody of a cartoon image. Aurostibite stared at it, and then saw a movement out of the corner of his eye - a woman was frozen in place, foot stuck to the ground, unfamiliar and completely human.
The other woman was a senshi.
His thoughts slowed momentarily and then whistled back into place, Aurostibite quickly gauging the situation. He reached into his coat and pulled out one of his daggers, flipping it into his hand, followed by the second, slowly circling the creature.
"Stay there," he said quietly to the human, and lashed out, the blade of one knife cutting a slimy line across the creature's side. It gave a shriek of annoyance, rather than pain, and lumbered awkwardly forward, spreading slime and goo every which way.

So that was the strange presence Elegancia felt-- aside from the monster, of course-- the man in the dark, sterile uniform. She recognized his uniform as being from the ranks of those evil ones, although it was not exactly the same as any other she had seen before. From what she could recall, none of them were exactly alike. The way he sliced the now-ambling creature with such precision from his blades was almost frightening: truthfully, Elegancia did not like this man. This wasn't saying much, though, since the auburn-haired beauty didn't like most people. Foochie, being on the same page as his mistress, looked on as Aurostibite did his work. Typically, he would the spoiled dachshund would be barking incessantly-- instead, he shook like a chihuahua stuck outside in the winter-- he was frightened of the man. Elegancia wondered: should she ask him if he worked for the Nega... What was it called again? The Negamoon? The Negafarce? No, no... Those weren't right.. The Negaforce? Ugh, whatever-- she wouldn't let on that she knew more than the average civilian would. She pushed Rosalind's desire to break loose even deeper inside. Elegancia would not get caught up in some crazy situation like she was in before she left Destiny City. But oh no-- it was coming up-- word vomit. She couldn't help it. "Of course I'll stay here. Do I look like I can move anywhere with this gelatinous muck on me?" As these sassy words flew out of Elegancia's mouth, lips flapping incessantly, she noticed the elegantly-dressed sailor soldier in the corner. This wasn't Elegancia's first rodeo: although she herself had abandoned her duties, she fully expected other sailor soldiers to perform their tasks adequately. Staring at the lovely brunette expectantly, Elegancia commanded, "well? Don't just stand there!! Do something-- take this beast out!!" The tea-filled creature let out a gurgling roar, then took the shape of a gorilla and began to thrash about aimlessly, looking to absorb more victims.

Well, being ordered about wasn't something she was expecting nor something she was pleased with. Dark blue eyes landed on the auburn haired girl and she felt a smile tugging at her lips. "Oh yes, of course I shall get right on that. Anything else you'd like? Perhaps some muck to shut your mouth?" She asked, not at all happy with being ordered about. She wasn't exactly a fan of this whole senshi thing, though having her own planet was a deal breaker really. Who else could claim to have their own planet? Aside from every other senshi of course. But that still left a large portion of the city without one. This was of course not something she'd openly brag about, but it was something she thought about to herself often enough.
Forcing her attention away from the other female she turned on the Captain, rather than the youma. he was the bigger threat at the moment and if she could subdue him first she could handle the youma than.
Both arms came up, her hands cupping the air, before they moved forward as if she were splashing someone but there was no water in he hands. It was as she did this that words where whispered too softly to hear. What left her hands was not liquid but three summoned bats that went on the attack toward the Captain. That taken care of, for the moment, she went for a chair and moved toward the gurgling...roaring....gurgring, yes a new word had been birthed, creature and swung the chair at it as she got close enough to do so. It looked like a gorilla but it hadn't before that. Some sort of shape shifting youma? How lovely...what next? Shape of an elephant and stomp on her? ((Sailor Scout Attack: Sailor Nephthys raises both her arms in front of her, as if splashing someone with something, as she calls her attack. This attack summons three bats, playing on the lore that vampires could turn into bats, and not only do they serve as a distraction but if they bite a person they drain that person(s) of energy. The bats actually do drain a victims energy, equivalent to pulling an all nighter. For those people it will be noticeable if they are using a lot of their own attacks or are very active in a battle. This attack can be aimed at more than one person, as there are three bats. They can be attacked and destroyed or avoided of course. This attack is an instant cast and the bats will last for fifteen seconds before vanishing of their own accord. The spell can be cast three times in battle. ))

He wished he had something better to work with than the small daggers, which were small and compact enough to hold onto securely, and which were good for close-range fighting. They were much less capable when it came to larger youma and people more agile than himself, because it was simply like a paper cut to this...thing.
Aurostibite would have let out a snort, but that would have been undignified. Instead, he just merely gave the civilian a pointed look, like he half expected her to walk away just for merely being sassy and sarcastic. The dog as well was given a slight glance, though he had no interest in the creatures.
He stepped forward again and made a disgruntled face at the senshi.
"You're free to get some for yourself, if you'd like," said Aurostibite dismissively, slashing forward again at the youma - except something fluttered towards him, bats that were flapping about his face, and he gave a small grunt of annoyance and surprise, slapping at them.
It took him a few minutes to get rid of the damn things, a scratch on his cheek bleeding down his face, but Aurostibite glared at them both, irritation flaring.
"That was particularly unnecessary,' he said flatly, and slashed at the creature once more. "And your help isn't necessary."
