  0% Alec Derring Date of birth: October 28th, 1988Age: 17Appearance: Height: 5"7, Weight: 114 lbs. A lanky punkster from Ireland, he wears the signs of any "delinquent" teen. A pair of faded jeans torn at the knees and sleeveless t-shirts sporting any punk band that happens to be his "idol" at the time are always worn. His mohawk (shaved it 'imself!) is a frill of hair down his shaven head streaked with purple and green interchangeably, a striking contrast to his steel grey eyes. He wears heavy combat boots, and a different mixture of spiked bracelets and chains each day though his eyebrow piercing and chin stud are his favorite accessories. Personality: Alec is sly and enjoys causing trouble. Though he dramatizes a tough and defiant exterior, he would rather avoid fighting altogether. He doesn't like speaking of his mother much but shows no restraint when telling tales of his father's drunken antics to anyone who asks. He's not particularly intelligent or educated since he dropped out of school and never really enjoyed reading, but he has a good head on his shoulders and a kind heart deep down inside. Background: Born on a rainy eve outside the town of Belfast in Ireland, Alec lived in the confines of a quiet community for most of his life. The Derring family weren't particularly wealthy individuals, one of the reasons why Alec's parents separated when he was 5 leaving his father in full custody. Living in his father's basement, the rowdy 17-year-old soon began to disrespect his father and dropped out of school at an early age to pursue a career in music.
Alec soon began taking influence from the local bands that would play in the pubs of neighboring towns at night. Rough, loud and generally disorderly, Alec was enthralled with the idea of a lifestyle in a rock band and soon took up drumming. With dreams of finally leaving home to pursue his 'talent', the easily-influenced teen spent his days with his drum set and his nights at the pubs. How he gets to the Island: Being so desperate to rid himself of the simple life, Alec has been scouring the clubs looking for an opportunity and outlet for his talents. Hoping to be a drummer for some famous European rock band, he meets an executive from a record label he has never heard of. Figuring it was a small company looking for fresh, new talent, Alec is given an offer to meet the man's colleagues on a remote island getaway where they can sample his talent and set him up with proper bandmates. Thinking this to be his big break, Alec enthusiastically agrees. Serum of choice: Tiger shark Image references: Damn sexy if ya ask me! #1#2#3Why a tiger shark?: They're slick, cunning, the ideal aquatic predator in their own environment... everything Alec ISN'T! *snicker* Their aggressive behavior to even the members of their own species would be a stark contrast to Alec's inability to formulate a spine during a fight. Besides, doesn't that head-frill of his kinda look like a shark's fin already....?What I think really makes this concept: I think this idea would make an interesting addition to the IoDM community, not to mention how much fun he'd be to roleplay! His immature and boisterous nature would be sure to stir up some trouble once and awhile, and his inevitable hate for the Doctor for using his dream of stardom against him would definitely play a part. Oddly enough, it wouldn't be his horrific transformation but the fact he was tricked and played for a fool that would set him off against the Doctor. The unique choice of mutation would be interesting as well, being one of only a few aquatic beings present.Stages 25% Patches of leathery skin start to break out, gills begin to develop on his sides. Alec gets pointy teef! twisted  50% Fins begin to grow on his forearms, splotchy pattern of the tiger shark starts appearing. Legs begin to "de-evolve" and shrink, giving way to the beginnings of a shark tail from his tailbone.  75% Loses his hair ;_; Breathing problems, more dependant on water. Legs are reduced to pelvic fins and his head deforms. Eyes are completely black. More developed pectoral fins.  100% WHOO sexeh! He has to stay in water most of the time, only being able to venture out for up to 2 hours. -DO NOT STEAL ANY OF MY IMAGES!!!-

Rabid Jigglypuff *stamp* Everything seems fine with Alec. HOW he got to the island seems a -bit- shakey to me, but really I can't think of a more appropiate way so I say its fine for now.
