Music - Sidney loves all kinds of music, but her music of choice tends to be the more Electronic genres. She's rarely without her ipod and headphones.
DJing - She's enamored with using unusual sounds to create music, and remixing songs created by other people to create something new and wonderful. She's even taken this so far as to set herself up as a DJ working at some night clubs in town. It doesn't make a ton of money, but she loves what she does. It gets her out among people and the ambient good feeling of being at a party is the best kind of high. She likes to make playlists of her remixed dance music and sell it on itunes.
Piano - Sidney has had a love for the instrument from a young age and spent a lot of time fooling around with a cheap keyboard her parents got her for christmas. She took piano in school as part of the music program, refining the basics she had taught herself at home. She's decently good and the skill comes in handy when synthesizing for the music she remixes.
Virtues:
Self-aware - Sidney is in-tune with herself, her emotions, and who and what she is. With that comes a quiet self-confidence. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't and she's open to other people because of that. She knows what her limits are and how hard to push herself when she wants to improve something. She can lie to people when she needs to, but for the most part, she has nothing to hide from anyone, especially herself.
Personable - Sidney likes people and likes to be around people, and to that end, she is good at being neutral, friendly and engaging. She accepts other people as they are or as they present themselves and she's unlikely to get into arguments or push people around. Rather, she tends to play the peace keeper and the hostess, and is an open, willing ear when someone needs to talk. She enjoys being the audience to another person's interests and is quite happy to talk about anything and everything.
Flaws:
Escapist - Too much stress, too many big, hard decisions makes it really hard for Sidney to function and very likely to put things off and immerse herself in music or social activity to distract from what she should be dealing with. Problems left alone will deal with themselves, is the unspoken thought. Ignore it, it'll go away. Only think about today, deal with tomorrow, tomorrow. It has often held her back from being as successful in life and relationships as she could be otherwise, because she's unlikely to fight past obstacles or rough patches.
Impulsive - As big stress, including big decisions, cause Sidney to mentally shut down and check out, she has formed the bad habit of making the quicker, easier choice to avoid needing to deal with a potentially stressful situation or thinking about it too hard. Its become almost habit to chose things based on what is easiest at the time, rather than what might be easier in the long run. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Its kept her from pursuing a lot of things that could have been a lot more fruitful for her, and gotten her into immediate trouble quite often.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Magenta/Pink, almond shaped and slightly slanted
Hair: Originally white, but dyed an abbreviated rainbow. (cyan, magenta, yellow and purple) styled asymmetrical and fluffy in the front, short and stacked in the back.
Face: Heart shaped with a pointy chin. Her skin is tan.
Clothes: Colors tend to be darks with bright pops of color. Leans towards grunge, punk, scene and goth styles. (I need to hammer it out)
