Danny tilted his head a bit at the challenging stare the hunter gave him, and couldn't help but feel he had thought of something rather rude about him. "I see, well I would have been surprised if you had never used a teleport magic circle, since you are a hunter." He replied thoughtfully with another tilt of his head as he snapped his fingers. In that instant a extremely complicated magic circle appeared under the both of them and a bright light surrounded them. As quick as the light had appeared, it had als disappeared as quickly and they had found themselves in a cave-like location near a large river. This was the so called river of souls, "Well here we are, time to go fishing." The male said with a light yawn as he walked to the edge of the river and looked out for a moment. "Ah, there he is." He said after a moment and suddenly did a surprising thing, he had jumped into the river himself, going under. After about a minute, a figure flew out of the river as if he had been tossed and landed by Amos, this was Hades, moments later Danny had climbed out of the water as well. Some blue and black scales could be seen on his face, but they rapidly disappeared as he used magic to dry himself off. "Hey kid," Danny began to speak to Hades, "Since I helped you out, please listen to the request of that young kid there and help him out." He said as he pointed to Amos before walking a bit away from the pair and used earth magic to create what seemed to be a throne and sat in it crossing one leg over the other. "Well, from what I have heard, it was your own carelessness that caused the situation that that boy is going to tell you about." He added with a casual smile. He was easily the only person who would and could talk down to the god of the underworld and not worry about any repercussions.

It was a surreal feeling, suddenly crashing against the air after spending so much time submerged in water. But Hades found himself almost spit out of the river, rolling a few feet along the ground before coming to a stop against a rather large protruding stalagmite. His eyes faced the cavern ceiling for a few stunned seconds before his expression resumed its usual scowl. The God stood, eyeing the two men in his realm with a precise eye. "You ask a request of me, but I do not see any offering..." He snapped his fingers, causing the seat beneath Danny to collapse back into the ground, his tone sharp as he said, "And I demand proper etiquette at all times in my court."

"Hades! No need to be so rude!"

Persephone approached the trio, appearing as if from nowhere. Her arms were laden with bags, which she promptly dropped once she reached the group, one hand waving away the luggage in a wisp of green smoke. She continued to speak, her tone cheery, understanding of the amount of effort it took for someone to face the Styx. "This boy has just sacrificed his life for you. At least allow him to sit and rest while you discuss things." She flipped a lock of hair behind her shoulder, continuing on as she turned to speak directly to Danny. "You go ahead and sit, darling~"

Hades bristled at the arrival of his wife, her interruption being taken as a clear slight against his authority. He turned, speaking lowly to her. "What are you doing here?" Her voice was light, a small shrug accompanying her explanation. "I was just getting back from visiting mother. But that doesn't matter right now. Go on with your meeting." She flashed him a smile before tacking on an offer to Amos, "You can sit, too, hun."

Hades narrowed his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest as he interjected. "If I let one ignore the proper way of doing things, they'll all start doing it. Then how will they learn of the right way to ask a god's favor? My siblings aren't nearly as patient as I am." He was a stickler for rules, always seeking a sense of order among things. Persephone, despite knowing this, let a small humph escape her, one hand moving to rest on her hip as she said, "You just spent nearly three centuries among your people and you can't tell how dissatisfied they've become? I ought to push you right back in again!"

"HA! So you admit to pushing me!"

"Of course I pushed you! Do you really think that little girl could manage anything? I wanted you to start listening to your subjects! They had concerns. Lily was just feeling neglected. I wanted her to think that she was helping so that she could gain some confidence."

"That's just great, Persephone. Push me in so I can listen to them all whine about politics. Do you know how ridiculously long their lists are? One group wants imported greek yogurt!"

"Oh, don't start complaining!"

"I! !-...I can't believe you're talking about this here. You make me look like a joke!"

"Nothing could beat the joke of you holding court in here! I haven't even begun the remodeling in the section. Seriously, why have the river run through this dingy spot? The new arrivals don't need to be scared, they're already dead!"

Hades suddenly turned away from his wife, ignoring the fact that they had been shouting at each other for the past few minutes. His gaze fell upon Amos as he demanded, "Spit out whatever reason brought you here." He was determined to get the day over with, his mood foul as he reminded once more that Persephone made a wonderful Queen; perhaps she was a little too good at her duties. And her no-nonsense attitude was something he could never compete with.

All of this bickering was beginning to take a serious toll on Amos' patience. The two gods were like the old married couple cliche. The hunter was starting to wish he had that flask of his, but only for the alcoholic purposes it provided by accident. Finally, after the two gods were done arguing, Amos was finally able to speak. "Lily is going to destroy the world unless someone stops her! She can't be killed by normal means since the two of you made a deal." All of those words seem to come flooding out of Amos like a child crying to its parents about what happened on the playground with a bully. "We don't have time for you two be arguing. I came here simply to pull you out of Styx so that Lily can be properly detained when we go back to be dealt with."

The white haired finally made his peace with his reasoning for coming to underworld. He was only living mortal being standing there on the edge of Styx, surrounded by either the dead or immortal gods. It also didn't help to hears Hades' guard dog cerberus howling in the distance. He must have picked up his master's scent. After letting the howl pass, Amos continued. "So, Hades, will you help take down Lily before she destroys the balance of life and death, that you are suppose to maintain?"

Danny

Despite the fact that Hades had collapsed the chair Danny sat in, he didn't actually move from his sitting position and was simply sitting on air as if the seat was still there. "Your offering was me pulling your behind out of that river which you weren't able to do yourself for the past few hundred years. Otherwise, I'll send over some alcohol from Faranth Errol, I know you love the stuff, and it's gotten much tastier during the time you've been in the river." Danny simply replied with a casual dismissing wave of his hand. It was surreal thing seeing him just sitting on air, but it was indeed happening. He let out a light smile when he saw Persephone, "Thank you, Persephone. I have no idea when he became such a stick in the mud, he was so much cuter back when he was less than a meter tall and calling me big brother. When did he change so much?" He said with a light sigh as he seemed to be remembering something from the past, more like embarrassing moments from Hades' past. With a wave of his hand, he recreated his throne like seat for himself and created the same for Hades and Persephone and a normal seat for Amos so that they could sit in chat.

Danny remained silent as Amos explained the current circumstances that seemed more like a crying child complaining about a playground bully. Then again, from the point of view of him, Hades, and Persephone, it was exactly like that. At the comment Amos made about time and arguing, Danny made an interjection. "Actually, time flows differently down here, though very few people actually notice it." He said with a light smile as he listened to Amos once again request Hades clean up the mess he and Persephone made.

There was still of sense of animosity emitting from the two, and when Amos exclaimed about Lily's work on Earth, he had only one thing to say. "Not my problem." He heard Persephone's gasp, her outrage as she told him, "See, that's why Lily is how she is. She learned it all from you!" The King ignored the claim, his gaze trained on the dragon as he listened to his wild jokes.

Hades huffed, his tone dry as he looked back to Persephone. "I'm sure that if I was wanted out of the River, she would have gotten me." His wife shrugged, batting one of his arms as she reminded him of her reasoning. "You were not connecting with your people. Like he said, you have to maintain a balance." Hades sighed, running a hand over his face before extending his arms, offering the goddess a hug as a sign of agreement and understanding. Persephone practically tackled him, happy to be wrapped up by his embrace. As a moment, she opened her eyes, speaking over his shoulder to Danny. "We will take some of that wine, though, if you don't mind." She was set back down, and after showing the most faint of smiles at the sight of his hopeful queen, Hades turned back to Amos.

"My deal with Lily can't be voided while she is in the upper world. But, while she has dominion over the dead-"

"-I can make a deal with you. Let you use the power of life." Persephone's expression was kind, her voice smooth as she continued. "We can't really step in ourselves, unless it's a truly dire situation. And no offense, I know this is all very important to you and your friend's lives, but...Lily's work hasn't been classified as drastic yet. Not on a godly level, anyway. So what do you say, care to make a deal with the devil...'s wife?"

Danny was about to be last straw for Amos, but as he turned to snap at the dragon, Hades spoke. He was just a rude, but also uncaring to the situation at hand. Amos felt like a glass window shattering. He expected this be a dire matter, but apparently, it was child's play to the gods. Even Hades, who had a deviant offender of his deal, seemed like he could care less. Everything felt like to was simply up to Amos to deal with.

The hunter sighed heavily, feeling defeat after how useless the gods themselves seemed to be. At the very least, Persephone offered to help...in her own way. "What kind of deal?" Amos inquired as he gave cautious stare. He had made plenty of ill-gotten deals with spirits and supernatural beings before, but never a god. Gene's warnings from before echoed in Amos' mind, telling him not to do it. But the aging mercenary wagered it couldn't hurt to hear the goddess out.

Danny noticed the look of shock when Hades simply said that it wasn't his problem and could only smile wryly. "Amos, you need to understand our view on it. For us, all mortal life ending on Earth really won't faze us much. If anything, yes I would protect my girlfriend and her friends as well as the Dragons of Faranth Errol, but to me, that's all my support of the beings of this world goes to. Should life end, I'll just simply use my magic and effect the rate of evolution again as I did back when life started appearing on this world and after the asteroid wiped out the dinosaurs. For Hades, all it would really change would be the large influx of souls which would mean more work for him." He explained sheepishly his point of view. "The other reason is, we may be powerful, we may be worshipped, but there are those who wouldn't like it if we were always interfering with mortals, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of those, especially how you clearly think negatively towards us shows pretty well on your face." He added with another wry smile. "Let me give you an example, personally I am not a bad dragon, I make sure the dragons of Faranth Errol don't attack any of the other races nor take their livestocks, for that I even created the Dragon Apples. But, the past 500 years, want to know how many times I have been attacked or challenged to some kind of duel or something? Four thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, and they all had the same reason, 'A monster like you shouldn't exist!'" He said with a light frown and leaned back in his seat. He had given this explanation after Persephone had offered her deal with Amos to at least give him some help. "Ah, as for the wine, here. Also, here's a birthday cake for Hades with a couple of candles on it, one for every fifty years you've been down here." He said with a smile as he waved his hand and a large barrel of alcohol appeared beside Hades and Persephone and in front of Hades was a table with a cake in the shape of a cute bear with some candles in it. "Happy late birthday~!" He said with a smile before going silent so he could see what kind of deal Persephone would offer.

Hades didn't interrupt Danny as he spoke, but he did spend most of the rant wondering how the dragon had managed to find a girlfriend. It seemed odd that if he had found someone to catch his fancy, why weren't they already married? But after a moment of consideration and a glance at Amos, he was reminded that mortals did things differently. "Dating" was one of those things, something he'd never taken the time to attempt with Persephone. She clearly had the same thought on the matter, but she was more vocal in her curiosity.

"It would be nice to meet your, female friend sometime. When she dies, just let us know and we'll make sure she gets only the best!" It might sound like a morbid offer, but the Queen knew that death was just a fact, something that lead to a new chapter for mortals. "I'll even make sure there's plenty of room for both of you to share a spot when it's your turn to cross." added Hades, his offer surprisingly sentimental.

The sight of alcohol and cake was a pleasant one, but Hades' expression remained straight. Nothing besides his wife had ever made him smile, but that didn't mean he was unappreciative of the gifts. Cerberus, who had finally arrived and wanted nothing more than to show his excitement of his master's return, only stopped howling for attention at the sight of cake. The giant beast ran for the treat, each of his three heads snapping at it. "Hey...you weren't the one who got eaten and spit up by his father..." despite his indignity, he sounded almost resigned. The next few minutes consisted of him attempting to subdue the dog as Persephone spoke with Amos.

"I lend to you the ability to mold life force. You can grow the best garden on Earth, something my mother would be proud of." she smiled, slinging an arm around Amos as she continued on. "You could absorb life force, letting you heal quickly, move faster, shoot a few balls of energy out of your palm. It all depends on how many of the living are nearby." She shrugged slightly, turning her body to face the hunter, letting her hand slide to his shoulder as she spoke again. Her voice was lower now, more serious as she said, "After stopping Lily, you will give up the power. Or you will die, that'll be included in the deal." It may seem like a sudden amount of seriousness, especially from the one immortal in the room who had been so laid back. But she had watched her husband strike a deal and fail to include a kill switch, leading to Lily's rise. Persephone would make sure that nobody else had a chance to be warped by such a large influx of power. "Lily was a sweet girl. All she wanted was to help her people. But shoving a Godly amount of strength into the brain of a human can only be sustained for so long. I watched Lily go insane. I won't let it happen again." It was clear that the Goddess did care more for the beings on Earth than she let on, but within moments she stepped back from Amos, letting her hand drop back to her side as she allowed her voice to return to its normal volume.

"Dammit Cerberus! I am going to hand you off to Hercules if you don't stop right now!" The beast finally desisted, the cake gone but the alcohol thankfully left in tact. Hades watched as Cerberus ambled up to his side, begging for attention as he immediately forgot why his master had been upset in the first place. And despite the seriousness on his face, Hades gave in, leaning down just enough to scratch beneath each chin.

Amos listened to Persephone as she seemed to try her best on being slick and sly. She was doing a terrible job in the hunter's opinion. She was still much too innocent. Plus, she didn't wreak of sin and temptation. Amos almost laughed as he too wrapped an arm around the goddess when she moved away, pulling her away from Hades and Danny. "No offense Persephone, but you know anything about me, you know what places I've been to and what kind of beings I've talked to. But, I'll consider your deal, but..." The aging hunter's eye peered over his shoulder towards the hellhound that sat next to its master, begging for attention. A curious look of intrigue and mystery dwelled in his eyes "Could I possibly borrow your husband's dog? I get the feeling I may need him. Lily has the dead at her disposal and even with your power, the dead carry different kind life force." It was true. Amos had the dead and undead many times in life. They all were of unholy nature, not alive through natural means. If Amos was to syphon anyone of the surrounding inhabitants life, it would mean they would grow weak and possibly die. Cerberus, was a different story. The hellhound was nearly immortal. Sapping some of the three-headed beast's life would be like taking a blood sample. "So, how about it, O great Queen of the damned? I get to take your dog for a walk, and borrow your power, and we bring Lily back for the appointment she's been 300 years overdue for. Sound reasonable?"

As Hades continued to deal with Cerberus, Persephone eyed Amos with caution. She didn't mind that he had wrapped an arm around her, but she was concerned about the mention of the dead's life force. She spoke up quickly, doing her best to ensure that he understood the weight of her words. "Do not try to siphon the force from Lily's creatures. It will only bring you closer to death." She didn't interrupt again as Amos continued to talk, laying down his own request. The Goddess rose a brow, turning slightly to look at the giant three headed beast, still rolling around on his back for her husband's attention. "If Hades allows it."

Hades, who had finally given up on lecturing Cerberus, looked over to his wife, finding her locked in a conversation with the mortal. Their eyes met, and he approached the two as he asked, "You two strike a deal yet?" He knew that Persephone was being cautious in what she agreed to, but her answer managed to catch him off guard. "He wants to take Cerberus to the Upperworld, for the battle." Hades paused, his face stoic as he looked to Amos. He deliberated for at least a moment, silent as he considered his answer. Finally, he gave a curt nod, his voice serious as he said, "You may borrow Cerberus. But I don't want to hear anything about an Orpheus deal."

Amos felt himself chuckle when the goddess told him about stealing life from the dead. It was something he already knew, but it might have best to be told the information twice. If the hunter were to drain life from Lily's army, he'd get little more than anything useful. If anything, as Persephone mentioned, he'd be closer to becoming one of them. The hunter couldn't have that. He still had a job to do and he would never forgive himself if he allowed Lily of all people to be the one to do him in.

Seeing the goddess eye her husband their family pet, Amos let go of Persephone. He didn't need the lord of the underworld to cast him into tartarus for all eternity just because he put a hand on Persephone. As soon as Amos was granted permission, he gave a sly smile. He'd need a leash. Speaking of leashes, the hunter peeked over to make sure his ride was still here. Danny was still present...just floating there. Amos felt like he was some RPG character waiting to get done with his chores before asking Danny who would respond "Done with everything? There's no going back." Or some similar video game based talk.

The aging hunter was caught off guard when Hades mentioned something about an Orpheus deal. Amos' mind immediately went to Kat. He was familiar with the Greek tale. The musical hero, Orpheus one day lost his wife. He then played his lyre all the way through the underworld to convince Hades to return his wife. But he failed as anxiety overtook him. "So, you know?" Amos inquired, matching the stoic manner of the death god.

The Dragon merely nodded a bit at Persephone's words of giving them a special place down here when they both die. It was at this point that he had gone quiet during the time Hades, Persephone, and Amos were speaking to each other. He was thinking about what he had noticed earlier that caused a delay in his arrival to Amos to bring him down to the underworld. This was something he hadn't felt in ten years, and even then it felt exactly the same as back then. It was something could be only accomplished if one had a massive mana pool and great control in space and time magic like him, or gods. But, it did not feel like it was magic at all, which was the weird part, but it was certainly what he thought it was. At some point, Danny was using magic to make himself float around, sometimes turning upside down as he thought about what had happened. It was when he felt Amos's gaze that he finally came out of his thoughts and smiled a bit. "That reminds me, you don't have a way back down here even if you do catch that girl, do you?" Danny suddenly questioned as he looked around on the ground for something. He soon picked up a palm sized rock and started engraving magic circles into it that quickly vanished. "Catch!" He said to Amos as he tossed the rock over. "The rocks here are perfect for making teleport stones since it is the territory of a god. That's a one time use teleport stone, it'll teleport you and any person you are holding back here to Hades, and as a bonus, it'll also bring Cerberus with you as long as he's nearby. But remember, you have to be physically touching her if you want to bring her with you, the command is 'Teleport' while focusing on Hades and holding it in your hand." He explained as he stretched a bit. "Also, Hades, when Amos is gone, can I speak with you and Persephone? I think it is rather important." He suddenly asked the two gods, his voice strangely more serious compared to his carefree tone.

It was Persephone who piqued up, answering Amos with a tiny nod. "Yes. I saw her on one of our early morning boats for the crossing." The Goddess reached out a hand, placing it gently on the hunter's elbow for comfort. But as she opened her mouth to add more, Hades interrupted. "What? No. I meant no deal because she isn't here. I can't help." His tone was confused, his gaze snapping over to the river at his side. Persephone removed her hand from Amos, her voice low as she asked, "She got on a boat, she should have been admitted long ago. Did she choose another afterlife? Because if we lose one more soul to that 'Heaven' place-" she paused, collecting herself with a deep breath. Hades merely shrugged, his tone apologetic as he told the hunter, "I'm sorry, I don't know where she is, but she isn't here."

The couple allowed Danny to speak, filling in the silence after admitting that Katrina had not become a member of the Underworld. Persephone was certain she had chosen heaven, but Hades wasn't overly perturbed. They had plenty of people to care for as it was, and their numbers grew every day. So, when Danny spoke directly to them about some sort of important matter, Hades nodded. "Of course." He spared a last glance to Amos, his tone dry as he said, "Don't leave Cerberus in the Upperworld."

The feeling of the goddess' hand on his arm was only a slight comfort. Having Persephone confirm that Kat had indeed been through the underworld and crossed was a saddening revelation. It wasn't until Hades spoke up that the facade was shattered. Kat wasn't here? It felt like a glimmer of hope shined through the dark and dreary afterlife. Amos felt a bit relief. His soul shedding the burdening weight of Kat's death. He could focus now. He had to get topside with Persephone's power and Cerberus so he could finally put a stop to all the chaos Lily was causing.

Before turning to the gods for any more request, Amos heard Danny speak up and toss a rock at him. The hunter caught the rock, feeling its temporary power. The power to warp back to the underworld after he was done. But it was only a one time use. Surely Danny had the forward thinking to remember that if he wasn't here, Amos would have few methods of returning to the upperworld after using the stone. The dragon did mention that time flowed differently in the underworld. Perhaps he would still be here when Amos got back. It would make more sense, otherwise Amos would have reason to mock the haughty god for boasting so much.

"Right, well now that all of that has been settled, Hades I need Cerberus' walking leashing and your power Persephone. Danny, I will still need you to take me back topside." Amos felt his heart beat steadily. He was ready. He remember this feeling from long ago. Back in his more sinful days when he challenged the archangel, Uriel. This time, it would be different.
