User ImageHer music was intoxicating. Not just the songs she sang with her beautiful voice. The rhythmic words she spoke, the lyrical laughter. Even the simple act of breathing seemed to carry a tone that fit perfectly into the music that was her very existence. And every note dragged him deeper and deeper until she was everything. His every thought and action was for her sake. Even time had been completely lost to him. Had it been mere hours, or several days since their fateful meeting on that hill? He seemed to recall the passing of the sun, be he couldn't be certain of anything he'd seen that wasn't her entrancing visage. It hardly mattered anyways. She was still here and he was falling very hard and very fast.

Of course, many a mare had caught Rosiotti's eye before. He liked to think of himself as quite the stud. He'd become quite the master of flirting in all his attempts to woo the ladies. It was what happened after all of that which he was completely unfamiliar with. No one had stuck around long enough for an attachment to form, for feelings to kick in. So, this was quite a frightening and exhilarating experience for the young stallion. This feeling of love- really, more like infatuation- was everything he had hoped it would be and more. And he hoped she felt the same as he did. It was always hard to tell, she was such a mysterious creature. She smiled with such coyness and affection, but he always felt that there was something else behind it all that he couldn't quite place. But as long as she was here he would revel in her music.

He stepped up to the mare, pushing his muzzle against her soft neck and breathing deeply her sweet scent, "Good morning, my beautiful songbird. What do you wish to make of this day?" Anything she desired he would make a reality, no matter how impossible it might be. He would gladly do whatever she asked of him.

User ImageMystic Lyric had entranced her quite a handsome stallion. Like a drug, she was addicted to having him around. Rosiotti made her feel empowered, beautiful, and loved. It was intoxicating. Lyric had never been so passionate for someones presence. Any other time, she would of hit the road by now, terrified of being tied down by another. A free bird, in her own little world. How nice it was to share in this duet though. Things flowed naturally, and she didn't find herself wanting to get free of him. Love? She would never admit it. Instead, she chirped at his affection, and showed her love for him in her own way. Headstrong, but there was no deniying her affections for Rosiotti. Part of her feared admitting love, would invite the feeling to escape. That wasn't an idea she entertained. Lyric was happy. Nothing could threaten that, if she didn't let it.

Mornings? Those were another story. No love was for those evils. The touch of her kittens muzzle against her neck, sent chills over her. She shivered, and puffed out her little wings. Her eyes looked at him with fire, then she leaned into him and moaned, in a drawn out sing-song sigh. "Mmmmm let's just go back to sleep." She shifted, and put her wait on him full force. Her crimson hooves pushing towards him lightly. Mystic Lyric liked to try and catch him off balance. Sometimes, causing them both to almost fall over. It made her laugh, and made her happy when he would catch them both. He could be cruel and step away, while her balance was dependent on him. She would likely topple if he did.

But Rosiotti could never dream of being cruel to his darling angel. Teasing and a bit devious at times, yes, but it was only ever for the sake of playful affections. He would never intentionally hurt her. She was such a beautiful sight, after all, why would he want to damage it? The stallion was more than happy to be her leaning post, though he did give slightly under her weight. This presented an opportunity for that teasing and devious nature to show a little.

"Mmmm. Have you been eating too many apples lately, my treasure?" The smirk on his face was one that knew he would be scolded for this remark. But some times the temptation was just too great. He would find a way to make it up to her afterwards. Rosiotti was a stallion who knew his way around words. When he wasn't too nervous to forget how to use them, that was. And with Lyric he had gotten past the nervous part long ago. Even with the threat of the mare's ire staring him right in the face he felt at ease. From the very beginning this had been a game to them both, and it still was. Everything was a contest to see who could get away with what and he loved it. And he knew she did too. No matter how offended she might be, she would forgive him eventually. She had to if she wanted to continue playing. Knowing that, Rosiotti could rest assured that his little bird wouldn't fly away at his bold words.

User ImageMystic Lyric scoffed and sucked in air. Her shoulders slumped down low, and her face pouted. Awkwardly, she pushed off of Rosiotti, having to find her foothold to not fall over when she moved. She looked at him with her pitiful pouty face, and sniffed, pretending she might start crying.

"You think I'm fat?" she batted her eyes at him, and tried to look even more sad, as she sighed. Lyric was good at playing the part. Hopefully, he found it convincing!

She carried on.

Lyric stuck out her belly as hard as she could, till she thought she might puke. "I have put on a few pounds. Do you think I'm still beautiful?" The pouty lip had turned into a grin. She couldn't fool anyone, at least, not for long.

She sucked her gut back in, and buffeted his bangs with one of her wings. "Not a nice thing to say about a mare, even if it were true!" her face then turned to one of playful frowning. "Jerk." she said, trying hard not to smile with he stern face, before turning away from him. She then looked at him with flirty eyes over her shoulder, then stuck her chin in the air and looked away. She might just fly away! No, he was right. She wouldn't fly away.

Funny how her emotions could flip around from one to another. It was something that came natural to her. Being serious was never any fun. The way the two of them went back and forth, was always entertaining. This was something else she enjoyed about her time with her kitten.

Rosiotti was not at all convinced. Not because her sniffles were lacking or her pout wasn't quite pouty enough. Were he any other Soquili, he might have been worried that her feelings were severely damaged. But he knew better. Lyric was a professional actress when she wanted to be and it was that bit of knowledge that had the stallion unconvinced. It wouldn't be a very good show if he didn't play along though.

"Beautiful? Why, of course I still think you're beautiful." She'd already broken her facade by now, but that wasn't going to stop Rosi from being as dramatic as possible. He stepped up to her and spread his wings wide and looked towards the sky, "You're as radiant as the sun. As refreshing as a summer's breeze. As mysterious as the moon and the stars. A few extra pounds simply means there's more of you for me to adore."

The stallion put on his suavest expression and gently pushed his nose into her side, "Besides, expecting mares are quite rotund. And there's little in the world more beautiful than a mother to be." It was a very poignant remark. He wanted to see her reaction. A roll of her eyes, a comment about being tied down, and then running off to try and change the subject. That's what he was expecting. She was too much of a free spirit and he couldn't really see her settling down with foals. But a part of him hoped for something different...

User ImageMystic Lyric ate up his dramatic compliment, as he compared her to the sun and stars. She did think she was a pretty awesome mare, but only in moments such as these. Left alone, she tended to over analyze who she was, and could sometimes think less of herself. She raised an eyebrow, and pushed her lips to one side as she watched him continue to talk. Even if he was still going on about extra pounds she didn't have!

If she had been drinking water, she would of spit it out as he started to talk about expecting mares. Pfft, that's not going to happen. "No way! I don't need any foals to tie me down. I'm never having foals. Ever." She frowned in dramatic disgust, and wiggled her head from side to side. "You're crazy." she said with wide eyes and a little jerk of a nod. She buffeted him with a wing, pfft'd at him, and did just as he expected: walked away, to try and change the subject.

She looked back at Rosiotti with a grumpy face. Lyric halted her pace, and waited for him to follow. His words, sent her mind spiraling with thoughts of having young. Things had a certain order to them though, in her mind. Even though she fought tooth and nail to deny any desire for having a family, deep down, she did have an idea of how that might come in to play. Things had to be done right. Friendship, and a mate for life. That's just the way proper family's were. Lifemate, another thing she was unprepared to think about. Lyric was still young, and it just wasn't something she had thought about. She didn't think herself to be lifemate worthy. Surely if Rosiotti was looking to settle down, he would find himself a good mare. She wasn't really the mate worthy type of material. Or at least in her mind. Life was fun the way it was. The thought of changing it, seemed unsettling. Lyric was never able to handle change very well.

"Besides, foals are needy. No more going out at night to have fun." she grumped at him. "Are you hungry?" trying to move off the topic, even though she obviously still lingered on the thought.

Even still, her thoughts went on. Did this stallion she had spent so much time with, love her? What's more, did she love him? She thought they were in love, at times. It was the pink elephant in the room, that neither one of them talked about. Love was a word so many threw around carelessly, but not Lyric and Rosiotti. She enjoyed his company very much. He was fun to be around. But that's just it. If it stopped being fun, would the feeling continue? Lyric huffed. She didn't want to think about it anymore.

It all played out exactly as he had expected. The adamant rejection of the idea, the look of absolute disgust, the diversion of the topic to something less uncomfortable. He steeled himself against the thwap of her wing before she even began the motion. And even though he knew all of this was coming, Rosiotti still found it endlessly amusing. Though he wasn't sure if it was her overly dramatic reaction or how predictable she was that amused him most. Of course she didn't want foals. She would get all of the attention any more if there were little ones running around. And, really Rosi wasn't interested in having foals either. Not yet anyways.

But it would be a bold-faced lie to say he hadn't considered it. Lyric was, after all, a very beautiful mare and he enjoyed her company a great deal. And the thought of having a family he actually felt a part of was a nice one. He could put his absent father, his bratty sisters, his overbearing mother behind him and look forward to a new life with Lyric and their children. These were but passing thoughts though. He knew she wasn't interested. And he knew he wasn't ready to be a father either. They were both still so young and had no idea how to tend to foals. Now was the time to enjoy each other's company without the interruption of needy babies. Even if they would undoubtedly be babies with very attractive genes...

With these thoughts settled in his mind for the time being, he lazily sauntered over to Lyric. A smirk still plastered to his face from her reaction, he continued his dramatic praising. "Hungry? How could I possibly be hungry when every time I look upon you I'm filled with your beauty." It was getting out of hand now, and he knew she'd tire of it soon enough. There were only so many half-truthful half-joking compliments one Soquili could handle in a day. He just needed to get one more in for good measure. "But, I suppose the body can't survive on beauty alone. Should we find something a little more exciting than grass to eat?"

The temptation to crack another comment about her weight was hard to resist. But his side was starting to get sore after all the smacks from her wings. He'd bite his tongue for now and find something else to tease her about later.

User ImageThe thought of being a mother had crossed her mind in the past, though not with anyone in particular. For Mystic Lyric, the thought of having kid around, seemed like a burden. Little beings to tie her down, and sap all the fun away from life. Mystic enjoyed her freedom to go where she pleased, and not being bound to the earth, to care for helpless soquili that required all of her time. At one point, she had said that she never wanted kids. Ever. Her sweet mother Elune, had told her that time could change her heart, and the right stallion. Just as she had fallen in love with Tokidoki, and wanted to raise a family with him. Yeah right! had been Mystics thoughts at the time, though she never disrespected her mother with such a response. It just wasn't something she ever saw herself doing. Not everyone had to have kids, right?

Mystic rolled her eyes and grinned at the comments Rosiotti made, as he continued to flatter her. Even if she acted like she didn't like the compliments, she loved them and ate every bit of it up! It felt good to get compliments, even if they weren't always sincere. She smirked and retorted "Oh stop that." with another eye roll and a tap of her wing.

"Hmm. I could go for something besides grass." It was middle of the summer, and all sorts of fruits were available for harvest. Mystic Lyric liked getting fruit from the locals, simply because she didn't have to pick it herself. The fruit tasted better to her, but that could be because she was lazy. She had heard they even had fruit teas this time of year, though she had yet to try any. "I could go for some fruit." she said, as she started to hum a warm tune. "What do you think?" she cut in, mid hum. Lyric sung softly in his ear, all the things that they could eat.

"Oranges, berries, apple pie
Peaches, nanas, pumpkin pie
Hmm-humm-hmm-hmm summer time."

"Let's head to the local village. Maybe we'll get lucky, and they'll have something fun going on tonight." she said, as she nuzzled up next to him. All her previous annoyances, already gone. Mystic was back to being flirty and lovable. "If there's nothing going on, we'll make our own fun." she said with a wink and a devilish glow to her face.

"Come now, before it gets too hot." the last thing she wanted, was to get sweaty and gross before they ate. Mystic Lyric liked to stay clean, and look her best. Flapping her feathers a few time, she preened one or two that were out of place, before turning to preen a feather on Rostiotti's wing. "Ready?"
