||| Material List |||

Payment for Weapons costs the appropriate amount of Ryo. If the character does not have enough Ryo they MAY be able to obtain it, by doing a mission for the Crafter. However this is up to the Crafter’s choice. Materials of a higher rank the the requester's ability to handle is at the discretion of the Crafter.

If you are using a material beyond your ability (Say you have B rank Skill but are trying to use an A rank type of Material) You will suffer negatives, you are not able to use the weapon properly as the balance and type of material is not what you are able to handle. As a result of this you suffer loss in the power of your blows / swings as well as their accuracy.

If a weapon is two ranks higher or lower in its weight rating than what you are currently using you will be unable to use that weapon due to the large change in weight

Starting Materials are Wood and Bronze

-_-_-_-_-Silver Gatherable
-_-_-A valuable material that is soft and malleable to create wonderful high quality weapons at the exchange for a slight durability loss. This metal is known for it's effectiveness against creatures such as Vampires or Werewolves. Silver is lighter than steel by a little bit but weighs more than bronze. xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 3,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Gold Gatherable
-_-_-A precious metal that is soft and malleable enough to create beautiful and ornate weapons, at the cost of the weapon and durability, as well as the cost. Smiths can do some of the more finer things with this, in that he can create fine jewelry with precious gemstones in it. Gold is a very heavy metal, weighing about twice that of steel but less than Gemsteel would. (Take the base weight of steel and multiply by 2)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare

-_-_-_-_-Cold Steel Non-Gatherable (MUST be forged)
-_-_-Normal Steel treated in extremely low temperatures binding the cold within the weapon itself. This material also has a similar effect to Silver against supernatural creatures. There is no difference in weight between this and traditional steel.
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 3
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Hunter (+0.5 Effective Rank vs Supernatural Creatures) Basic Weight (0 Weight Rating) Moderately Durable (C Rank Hardness)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 8,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Obsidian Gatherable
-_-_-Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when felsic lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimum crystal growth. Obsidian is commonly found within the margins of rhyolitic lava flows known as obsidian flows, where the chemical composition (high silica content) induces a high viscosity and polymerization degree of the lava. The inhibition of atomic diffusion through this highly viscous and polymerized lava explains the lack of crystal growth. Obsidian is hard and brittle; it therefore fractures with very sharp edges, which were used in the past in cutting and piercing tools, and has been used experimentally as surgical scalpel blades. Obsidian is half the weight of steel. (Take the base weight of steel and by 2)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 3
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Keen Edge (+1 to Bladed Weapons made of this material) Featherweight (-1 weight rating) Moderately Durable (C Rank Hardness)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 9,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Mythril Gatherable
-_-_-A rare material that sees molten iron and molten silver formed deep in the earth. This material can be man-made with Steel and Silver as well. This rare metal is light as a feather and thus is often favored for armor. While this material is light, it is also strong and durable while holding silvers innate properties against supernatural creatures. Due to the lightweight properties of this material it is half the weight of steel, making it the same weight as Obsidian. (Take the base weight of steel and divide by 2)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 3
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Featherweight (-2 Weight Rating) Hunter (+0.5 Effective Rank against Supernatural Creatures) Durable (B Rank Hardness) Armor Bonus (+1 Effective Ranking when used as armor)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 15,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Chakra Steel Non-Gatherable (MUST be forged)
-_-_-A unique and special type of steel with chakra flow imbued in it. Able to increase its strength by flowing chakra into it and able to incur one element. Chakra Steel has the base weight of steel
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 3
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Chakra Canal (Able to focus and channel chakra throughout the weapon) Jutsu Boost (Able to boost Jutsu up by +1 Ranking for an increased chakra cost) Durable (B Rank Hardness) Base Weight (0 Weight Rating)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 17,250 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Gem Steel Gatherable
-_-_-A rare mineral ore that forms with both precious gems and steel in the same deposit. It creates an extremely tough material that is difficult to fold but when folded properly shines with the gems and steel combined. This material is difficult to obtain due to creatures that feed off of it roaming the forge's near by valleys. It also amplifies light and splits it off in multiple directions. Gem Steel is very heavy, being 3 times the weight of steel. (Take the base weight of Steel and multiply it by 3)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Rare
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 3
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Light Amplifier (+1 Effective Rank when used for Light techniques) Very Heavy (+2 weight rating) Very Durable (A Rank Hardness)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 20,000 Ryo (Gatherable, very difficult to obtain [A Rank Monster Hunt])

-_-_-_-_-Shining Mythril Gatherable
-_-_-What happens when molten gold is used instead of the molten mercury in the process of creating Mythril. The weapon is much heavier than a Mythril weapon, but it keeps the same weight as steel, the lighter metal in the combination. These weapons are generally used to house powerful magical enchantment or "blessings". These weapons also reflect light back to the source and can create a source of light innately due to a deep magical sheen within the gold and steel combination. The material is still rather light all things considering, weighing in about the same as Silver. (Take the base weight of Steel and multiply it by 0.8 )
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Epic
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 4
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Lightbringer (Can create light) Light Weight (0 Weight Rating) Holy (+1 Effective Rank against Undead) Very Durable (A Rank Hardness)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 40,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Gemythril Non-Gatherable (MUST be forged)
-_-_-Gemythril is the standard mythril crafting process, however it becomes a sort of Gemsteel weapon, when pieces of Gemsteel Ore, or precious but sturdy gems such as Diamonds or Sapphires, wind up in the mixture of molten ore. Because they are consumed and sink to the middle it is hard to spot them right away, however as the metal bubbles, the gems are brought to the surface slowly melting into the metal as it takes its shape and form, becoming malleable. This was an accidental discovery of ancient Ikazuchi Clan members Koudoshin and Bahamut when Bahamut was forging and Koudoshin was teasing her mate by dropping random things near the forge, some gems happened to wind up and in the mix and when the weapon was created, it still had all the same properties of Mythril, however it also had precious gems embedded into the blade. This gave the weapon even greater potential against dark foes and is generally seen as a "Holy" metal, due to the fact that it shines brightly whenever light is sent into or near it and it can reflect light back at the target, while still having the same base properties of Mythril, though it is the heaviest kind of Mythril at the same weight of Steel.
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Epic
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 4
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Base weight (0 Weight rating) Light Reflection (Reflects light and light based attacks) Energy Draining (Drains 30 Chakra if the material draws blood) Very Durable (A Rank Hardness)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 50,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Adamantine Gatherable
-_-_-An extremely tough ore that is found in the core of the mountain near to the very bottom. It takes smith's 24 hours to gather adamantine enough to forge a weapon out of it. This material has a dark green hue to it and is extremely durable as well as being heavier than steel. When worked into a weapon it can become a razor sharp blade or a heavy smashing hammer, as when super heated it becomes very malleable. The weight of the resulted weapon would be about five times that of a steel weapon. (Take the base weight of Steel and multiply by 5)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Legendary
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 5
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Heavyweight Champion (+4 Weight Rating), Hyper Durable (S+ Hardness), Crushing Blows (+1 Ranking on Crushing weapons made from this material), Chakra Shield (Able to deflect Jutsu of S ranking)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 100,000 Ryo

-_-_-_-_-Runite Non-Gatherable (MUST be forged)
-_-_-A very difficult alloy to create, it combines Gold, Silver, Steel and Bronze all in one package. Each of the three "most precious metals" and the base metal used for almost all materials as a standard in this time period, Runite is very durable, and extremely powerful. Creating it takes a long time however, at least 48 hours as smiths must melt down the Steel and Bronze together, then the Gold and Silver together. When the gold and silver mix together fluidly and it takes on a light teal hue to it from the different materials mixing and reacting on a chemical level. It is then set into a mold and cooled for a period of 24 hours before being heated once more and worked to the point where it is almost brittle again, when the Gold and Silver is almost ready to be broken again, it is set into a bin of cooled Steel and Bronze that are in a liquid state, much like Mythril does, the combination of metals flows and merges together within it as the blade needs to be folded and worked at this stage. Then, once the shape and form is set, it sits once more for a 24 hour period, this time in a deep freezer that creates Cold Steel weapons. Due to this, the weapon is naturally a Cold Steel weapon, and this is one of the single most expensive materials. The material is heavy however, with all of the different metals mixed together it is heavier than any of the individual ones. This alloy has an extremely high durability rating and cannot be broken very easily. The weight for this material would be about 4 times the weight of steel. (Take the base weight of Steel and multiply it by 4)
xxxxxxxxxxxRarity: Legendary
xxxxxxxxxxxAbility Slots: 5
xxxxxxxxxxxSpecial Properties: Keen Edge (+1 Ranking to Bladed weapons made of this material), Extremely Durable (S Rank), Master Hunter (+1 Effective rank against Supernatural Beasts), Energy Eater (Able to absorb Jutsu up to A Rank within a limit of 300 Chakra total, energy MUST be dispelled at the end of each encounter or it stacks) Heavyweight Contender (+3 Weight Rating)
xxxxxxxxxxxBase Selling Cost: 200,000 Ryo

Smithing Skill System

Everyone who chooses to add "Smithing"
under character interests this is just for now until we can find a better spot for it starts with E Rank in smithing, this means they can create things out of Very Common, E Rank Materials which is Wood.

After crafting X number of items out of a material, their skill progresses and they can then begin to work on the next highest ranking of materials that they can either afford or gather.

Weapon Skill System

All characters start out with the basic ability to use E Rank Weapons (These weapons are wooden weapons of any kind.)

___✦ As characters progress, they gain further skill allowing them to use higher and higher ranked weapons.

___✦ The higher the characters Weapon Skill, the better materials they are able to use and handle

___✦ This is regulated to Training. Actively training and using the weapon in an actual combat situation, IE sparring. While training alone is possible, you learn at half the pace otherwise.

___✦ Bukijutsu class users can gain solo training posts while learning their bukijutsu techniques.

___✦ Unarmed weapon users gain solo training posts while training taijutsu techniques. (Taijutsu or Bukijutsu class)

___✦ These training must be completed to avoid a rank reduction per rank between the training you are at and the required training in bukijutsu techniques. (Example you have C rank training and trying to use A rank weapon. Bukijutsu will suffer a -2 rank penalty due to the difference) This difference effects not only your ability to accurately use the weapon, but the power of which you can produce with it as well as how easily it could break.

Weapon List

__✦ All Light Weapons can be Dual Wielded (use two of them) without initial penalty

__✦ Weapons of a different weight class (Ex. one Medium and one Light) will require a certain Rank in the Bukijutsu Class "Path of Dual Wielding" to be dual wielded

__✦ The higher the weight of the weapon, the higher your strength needs to be in order to use it.

__✦ Weights are as follows *All weights assume base using Steel*

* Weightless - Less than 10 ounces of weight. These are traditionally daggers or Ninja Tools. These require a base strength of 0 and can be dual wielded with no penalties.

* Light - Light weapons weigh between 2 to 5 lbs. These are things like swords or small maces. These require a base strength of 0 to wield normally and 3 to dual wield without penalty.

* Medium - Medium weapons weight between 6 to 10 lbs. These are things like your average axe of mace. These require a base strength of 2 to wield normally and 5 to dual wield without penalty.

* Heavy - Heavy Weapons are any weapons with a weight of over 10 lbs. These are things like large two handed weapons or weapons made of a heavier material. These require a base strength of 4 to wield normally and 8 to dual wield without penalty.

__✦ Pricing - Often times the heavier the weapon is the more expensive it will be to make. This is not only because there is more material needed, but much more work needed to make the weapon in itself. While not always the case for all smiths, it is generally accepted that the heavier the weapon is, the more it will cost.

__✦ All Academy Students have E Rank in skill with all weapons, as a Gennin you pick what kind of weapon you want to have skill with and are then a D Rank with that particular kind of weapons.

__✦ Each type of weapon has a different skill rank associated with it, you increase this through training

__✦ The maximum skill in any weapon type you can gain is S+

__✦ You can only gain S+ with 1 type of weapon

__✦ You can only gain S with 2 other types of weapons

__✦ Weapon and Unarmed Skill can increase with Taijutsu and Bukijustsu focused on that type of weapon

__✦ Regardless of your skill with a weapon if you have not take the Path of Dual Wielding from the Bukijutsu Main Class dual wielding weapons will always give you some penalty to your accuracy and skill with the weapons due to having not trained proficiently in dual wielding.

Weapon List:

Saw Sword - Light Class - 2,500 Ryo
C Rank Sword Skill
Another curving blade, however this weapon has no edge but rather multiple "teeth" along the blade. This weapon does not cut, it does not stab, it rips you apart.

Twin Hooks - Weightless Class - 6,000 Ryo
**3,000 Ryo per sword, these are almost always made in pairs, thus the price**
B Rank Sword Skill
The Twin Hooks are primarily a slashing weapon, although the dagger ends can be used for stabbing. Another technique shown was to hook the two swords together, with the user swinging one, causing the dagger of the second sword to slash the opponent.

Two-handed Weapons

Greatsword - Medium Class - 5,000 Ryo
D Rank Sword Skill
The bigger and badder older brother to the longsword. This thing is able to cut a man in half with a single stroke and is one of the most symbolic two handed weapons ever.

Zweihänder - Heavy Class - 5,500 Ryo
C Rank Sword Skill
Created in Germany these hulking weapons are made more for defense rather than offense. These swords specialize in locking the opponent's weapons up and disarming them, in some cases quite literally.

Flamberge - Heavy Class - 7,000 Ryo
C Rank Sword Skill
Another defensive style two handed weapon, this two-handed sword featuring an exceptionally long blade and hilt, a wide cross guard, and a ricasso with a pair of parrying hooks. The name "Flamberge" literally means "Flame Blade" because of the design of the blade. I guess you could say its one hot two-handed sword.

Claymore - Medium Class - 4,000 Ryo
D Rank Sword Skill
This traditional two-handed sword originated from Scotland, featuring a wide double edged blade this weapon is perfect for cutting into the enemies.

Nodachi - Heavy Class - 8,500 Ryo
B Rank Sword Skill
Much like the greatsword is to the long sword, the Nodachi is the bigger badder older brother of the Katana. This weapon was designed to take out cavalry on foot. It's big heavy and can beat you senseless without even cutting you.

Zhanmado - Heavy Class - 9,000 Ryo
B Rank Sword Skill
The zhanmadao is a saber with a single long broad blade, and a long handle suitable for two-handed use. It is often used as an anti-cavalry weapon, and is a large devastating weapon. It takes a great deal of strength to use these

Double Blade - Heavy Class - 10,000 Ryo
A Rank Sword Skill
A large metal pole connects two smaller swords together so you have a blade on each end. This is a very heavy weapon and takes considerable skill to use properly, though if used properly it could have untold potential.

__Axes

The Axe, its big, it's heavy and oh crap can this thing do damage. While the Axes often won't have anywhere near the same speed as a sword or the reach of a lance it has the raw power to crush things in the way of often times the razor sharp edge.

One-handed Weapons
Hatchet - Light Class - 1,500 Ryo
D Rank Axe Skill
A small, light axe designed for use in one hand specifically while camping or traveling. This thing might be small, but it can do some real damage when used properly.

Hand-Axe - Light Class - 1,500 Ryo
E Rank Axe Skill
A small axe used for chopping, similar to hatchets, its a smaller weapon. These weapons are useful in a number of ways. Never judge a weapon by its size.

Tomahawk - Light Class - 2,500 Ryo
C Rank Axe Skill
Similar to the hatchet, this weapon was the go-to tool for the native peoples of America and has surged throughout the world ever since. This weapon is has a habit of collecting the scalps of the opponent better than others.

Throwing Axe - Light Class - 1,000 Ryo
E Rank Axe Skill
Whats more dangerous than an axe in the hand? Somebody throwing the thing at you. These kinds of axes are designed to be hand-lobbed missile weapons, making them dangerous at close, and long range.

Fire-Axe - Medium Class - 3,000 Ryo
D Rank Axe Skill
Traditionally used by Firefighters in the real world, these tools have been weaponized and turned into powerful heavy hitting things of pain. Who needs to use them for fighting fires when you can just use them for fighting right?

Battle-Axe - Medium Class - 4,000 Ryo
C Rank Axe Skill
The first axe to be used as an actual weapon, these larger heavier weapons were used much like swords, however due to their weight they were more effective against armor. Beating people in many painful ways since the Medieval Era.

Pickaxe - Medium Class - 3,500 Ryo
C Rank Axe Skill
While traditionally used for boring things like mining or breaking rocks, somebody along the lines decided it would be more interesting to break heads with it. Its pointy on both ends and has enough weight behind it to break through stone.

Two-handed Weapons
Great-axe - Heavy Class - 6,000 Ryo
D Rank Axe Skill
Once again, the bigger badder brother of a one-handed weapon, the great axe is often times a hulking double headed battle axe used to crush or slam their opponents.

Poleaxe - Heavy Class - 6,500 Ryo
C Rank Axe Skill
Designed to defeat plate armour. Its axe (or hammer) head is much narrower than other axes, which accounts for its penetrating power.

Parashu - Heavy Class - 9,000 Ryo
B Rank Axe Skill
This weapon could be double edged or bladed or single-bladed with a spike on the non cutting edge. It usually measures between 3 – 5 feet though some are as long as 7 feet. The Parashu is usually made of iron or wootz steel. The cutting edge is broader than the edge which is attached to the haft. The haft is often tied with a leather sheet to provide a good grip. I don't have anything witty for this one.

Double Axe - Heavy Class - 10,000 Ryo
A Rank Axe Skill
Much like the double blade, the Double Axe is two axe heads attached to a long center pole. It takes a great deal of strength and skill to use this kind of weapon but if done so correctly it could be very powerful.

__Pole-arms

The Pole-arm, which is basically a type of Lance, what was probably one of humanity's first weapons since it's really just a big stick with a pointed tip. Pole-arms long reach and is great for keep enemies from getting to close to the person. Pole-arms only have One-handed and Two-handed since they are too large and unwieldy to dual wield.

**While most Pole-arms are Two-Handed there can be One-Handed variants of them, simply by making the pole slightly shorter**

One-handed Weapons
Short Spear - Medium Class - 3,500 Ryo
E Rank Pole-arm Skill
A smaller spear often times used in one hand. This weapon is about half the size of a normal spear however it is quicker and able to inflict just as much damage. Short, sweet and to the point.

Two-handed Weapons
Spear - Medium Class - 4,500 Ryo
D Rank Pole-arm Skill
The Spear, its big long and pointy and it can mess you up. The Spear is a "cult classic" kind of weapon having been an iconic weapon for so many different peoples over the years.

Trident - Medium Class - 6,000 Ryo
C Rank Pole-arm Skill
What's more terrifying than one razor sharp tip stabbing you many times? Three razor sharp and often barbed tips stabbing you many times. The Trident is heavier than the Spear and can be utilized for offense, and defense.

Scythe - Heavy Class - 7,500 Ryo
C Rank Pole-arm Skill
Sure it's impractical most of the time, but it looks bad a**. The Scythe was a common grain farming tool turned into a weapon during a medieval peasant revolt. It's great for keeping opponents at a distance and ha been modified with a razor sharp spike on the end to turn it into a slightly more practical weapon. They could be used, depending on construction and tactics, to make slashing or stabbing attacks, and with their uncommon appearance and considerable strength could have a psychological impact on an unprepared enemy. However, like most pole weapons, their disadvantages were weight (which could quickly exhaust the user) and slow speed.

Halberd - Heavy Class - 7,000 Ryo
C Rank Pole-arm Skill
The halberd consists of an axe blade topped with a spike mounted on a long shaft. It always has a hook or thorn on the back side of the axe blade for grappling mounted combatants. Its like a Poleaxe, but it's totally not a Poleaxe.

A naginata is a Japanese pole-arm that was traditionally used by members of the samurai class. A naginata consists of a wood shaft with a curved blade on the end. A guan dao or kwan dao is a type of Chinese pole weapon. In Chinese it is properly called a Yanyue dao (which translates as reclining moon blade) The blade is very deep and curved on its face; this resembles a Chinese Saber or Dao. Supposed to take great physical prowess to wield in combat due to great weight. Variants include having rings along the length of the straight back edge as found in the nine-ring guan dao for use as distractions or entanglements for incoming enemy weapons, having the tip curl into a rounded spiral as in the elephant guan dao, or featuring a more ornate design as exemplified by the dragon head guan dao.

Ranseur - Heavy Class - 7,000 Ryo
B Rank Pole-arm Skill
A ranseur was a type of polearm used across Europe up to the 15th century. Often thought to be a derivation of the earlier spectrum, the head of a ranseur consisted of a spear-tip affixed with a cross hilt at its base. Often this hilt was crescent-shaped, giving it an appearance similar to that of a trident. Generally, the hilts did not have a cutting edge, unlike the double-edged partisan. Thus, Ranseurs resemble a sai mounted on a staff. Ranseurs are generally 6 feet or longer.

__Bows

The Bow & Arrow, as old as the lance this weapon is ideal for long ranged attacks and hit and run type ambush attacks. These weapons have the longest range, but have no up close defense, because really if a dude with a sword is in your face what are you going to do?

**All Bows are Two-Handed Weapons, and all bows come with arrows**
**All bow weights are assuming using Wood as the Base**
**Bows CANNOT be dual wielded. It physically cannot work unless you have 4 or more arms**

Short Bow - Weightless Class - 2,000 Ryo

Hand Crossbow - Light Class - 4,000 Ryo
**Can be Dual Wielded**
D Rank Bow Skill
Very similar to the Crossbow, but smaller, more compact. These are often hidden weapons and are light weight, but use smaller bolts and have less punching power than a regular, full sized crossbow.

The baselard is a historical type of dagger or short sword of the Late Middle Ages. In modern use by antiquarians, the term baselard is mostly reserved for a type of 14th century dagger with an H-shaped handle which evolved out of the 13th-century knightly dagger. Contemporary usage was less consequent, and the term in Middle French and Middle English could probably be applied to a wider class of large dagger. Its the biggest dagger, but bigger doesn't always mean better.
