The last thing Lorne wanted to do was bother her, especially after everything that had happened in the park and then... was he just making excuses? Maybe.
No. Knowing him, he was. He had to know he wasn't bothering her, right? - she didn't think less of him at all after - this wasn't even about him, he reminded himself harshly. This was about her. How Nadia was doing, was she okay? He wasn't the only one that had seen -
He had to try harder, be stronger. Not just for himself. So let it start with a text; he couldn't wait anymore.
Hey Nadia. Sorry if you're busy, just wanted to make sure you were okay.
He stared at the text for a long moment after he sent it, his heart pounding heavily in his chest.
Miss you.
It was incredibly lame, and probably incredibly stupid, even if it was true; but he'd already hit send because he didn't want to over think it and wow that'd been a mistake hadn't it? His forehead hit the desk with a resounding thunk and he sighed like the weight of the world was on his shoulders.

Nadia hadn't been able to shake the failure she suffered in a short amount of time. Between the corruption and the dance audition, she was sure she felt...miserable.
For a girl who took confidence, and shone with it, it was hard to fall back into the real world. Not everything would happen because of confidence, and not everything could continue with skill.
She was on her way out to power up, return to Methone's patroling world when her phone blipped. She slid her finger against the screen, staring at it. It wasn't often that her heart warmed, but it did.
Lorne was checking in with her. Not the other way around. He reached out to her.
She wanted to see him.
It depends on okay, Handsome.
She sent the first.
Do you?
She looked out her window, at the clear night sky and wondered.
You could always come and see me. I miss you too.

When his phone buzzed, his grip on it tightened as he sat up, inhaling deeply as he read the line of texts. The first made him frown, worrying etching subtle lines across his face.
But the others made him grin the kind of smile that easily reached his eyes; not only did it seem like she wasn't annoyed, but she wanted to see him. He felt a surge of warmth boil in the pit of his stomach, reassuring and encouraging.
Of course he did. There was no question.
Where are you? - do you like ice cream? I have ice cream.

heading out as Methone.
She powered up, letting the uniform replaced her small shorts and tank top.
I'll come to you, Are you home? Save me some ice cream.
She chuckled....
You should feed me some. It'll be sexy.

To him? Even though he knew he kept his place tidy, Lorne did a cursory glance around his room to make sure there wasn't anything insanely embarassing out in the open. Better safe than sorry, right? Nadia coming to his room? - Trevor wasn't home - Ah, but she'd said as Methone - just in case, he wrote back: Should I change? Don't worry, I won't start without you. He probably should. There were plenty of nice quiet places nearby and - Lorne choked when he read the last part, and sat there staring red-faced at his phone debating what to say, or even if he should say anything about it at all. But... This was about cheering her up, so maybe... he could try giving her a reason to smile? Laugh? Or something? If it'd make you smile, I'd do anything.

Don't worry about it, I want to see you and I'm already heading out. She knew the basic idea of where he lived, so it wasn't long before she was outside his window as Methone, belly top and all, tapping his window. You are the sweetest man I've ever known. She completed the text message by laying her hand on the window and making silly smooching faces.

So that was that; of course, Lorne had been so concerned about Methone being at his place to begin with that he hadn't really considered the whole pajama situation - again. It was summer, so it was another sleeveless shirt with a pair of flannel patterned pajama pants. Even when he got the message, he was too busy running around his place in a flash to gather a few key things - the ice cream, a can of whipped cream, a jar of cherries, and even some chocolate syrup, along with a nice big bowl and a couple of spoons.
He'd just finished setting them all out very nicely on a little foldout table in his room when he heard a tap at the window - he knew Methone was coming, but that didn't stop him from jumping.
The series of events that followed happened in such rapid succession, he probably would have laughed (in the mortified way) if he could have seen himself; he went from looking petrified for about three seconds, to glancing down at his phone out of reflex. The panic melted away like ice in the spring as he saw her text, a splash of color settling over his face as he smiled wide, more moved by that tiny text than she might ever know. Then he looked up at the window, blinked once, and then burst out laughing. The doubling-over kind that brings a tear to the eye and makes ribs ache.
He was still laughing as he moved to open the window when he happened to catch her eye - and in what was probably the thrill of the moment, he leaned forward and brushed his lips over hers, a ghost of a touch that ended with him easing back to allow her inside.
"Was - that, um - " He didn't exactly want to ask if that was okay to do, and he didn't really regret doing it. Anxiety was just swelling up in the pit of his stomach like an unwanted friend, and he was trying his best to shake it off. "I mean - uhm, hi." This, followed by a sheepish, hopeless kind of smile.

She actually watched him for a bit, as he moved about his space and prepared things. Then he was laughing at her, and it was easy to smile. She didn't feel the pain of Haumea's burns as much now, but they still ached. She didn't feel the lingering doubt about Plou, and the corruption. She was a order senshi. She would eventually, bring order back.
But not tonight. Tonight she wanted Lorne, and ice cream.
As the window opened, and he leaned over, placing a ghost of a kiss on her lips, she made a small pleased sound. Her legs slid in, the glamour from her powered side fading and instead of slipper touching the ground, barefoot did. It was followed by long legs, in short pajama shorts and a simple tank top. She didn't believe in bra's to bed, so there was nothing much hiding her. She didn't seem bothered by it at all.
"Good evening, Handsome Lorne." She touched his chest. "Teasing me isn't friendly you know." She wrapped arms up around his neck, pressing herself against him and placing her lips more firmly on his. Her eyes closed, savoring the feel.
She'd wait for him to pull back for that at least. And then maybe she'd see if he'd feed her ice cream, It was....the most relaxing comforting feeling.

The good news; he wasn't the only one in his pajamas! The bad news; he didn't realize he was staring at her pajamas until he was already in the act of staring, and then even when he averted his eyes so he wasn't staring, he still had enough to get a lot of very vital details memorized. This was different from the other night at Colin's. Then, she'd stripped down out of necessity to treat her wounds. This was completely different, and he was acutely aware of the change.
Then, just as he averted his eyes, there she was with a hand on his chest - and then she was kissing him, and the way she eased against him filled in what details his eyes hadn't captured. It caught him off-guard, and a sound escaped him that he was grateful didn't travel much further than Nadia's lips. His eyes were open wide to begin with, but he relaxed, tension easing out of his shoulders. His arms instinctively wrapping around her waist - and then promptly loosening, because she was hurt and he didn't want to hurt her more.
When he did pull away after what felt like a long time, Lorne breathed in slowly, his lips parted with turned upwards. "Wow."

She loved the feel of him. Being pressed against him, and his arms around her waist. She would've wrapped her legs around his hips if he still held on to her, would've deepened the kiss if she just tilted her head a little.
But she had told him slow. So when he eased back, she fell back on her heels, eyes lazily opening into a half lidded. She felt energized and relaxed, like a 1000 electric shocks had tingled her skin but it felt so good, she didn't want to move and ruin it.
His single word made her smile return, her arms resting on his shoulders.
"It is pretty wow isn't it?" She chuckled and looked over his shoulder. "Oh my god Lorne. You have...." She licked her lips...."The full works for sundae's here and I think...." She sighed, "this is heaven. Are you an angel?" She whispered. "Did hurt when you fell down into my life?" She teased again.

Lorne didn't say it out loud, but silently, he realized he liked the way she looked after they kissed like that - it warmed him in more ways than one. He still felt nervous, but it was the better kind, the one that fluttered around in the pit of his stomach.
He cracked a toothy smile and laughed softly, trying to ignore the way her whispering made him shiver. (Did she notice that? - he did and didn't hope she did.) "That's funny from the magical girl that just came through my window, " he teased gently, leaning down to give her a soft little peck on the tip of her nose. "I hope you like cookie dough - if you don't, it's fine. I'll just be sad." Lorne gave her that sheepish grin, loosening his arms but taking her hand to lead her towards the bed.
Of course, he leaned over to try and take a peek at the burns, that concerned look seeping onto his face again. "How have they been? - are they still painful? - we might have some burn cream in the bathroom."

She could only chuckle in response. He was an angel and she was a magical girl. Stranger things could and would happen, wouldn't they?
"I love all ice cream." She wiggled her nose and raised a brow, "A sillier woman would turn down ice cream, or cookie dough. Silly women." She was heading to the bowl, and scooping out ice cream to eat.
"They've been a pain." She took a bite of ice cream. "I had my assessment." she sighed, "I failed the first round..." She left it at that, but gave him a sad smile instead. "It's got me down handsome."

Lorne's eyes widened, a tightness settling into his chest at the news. "Nadia, " he breathed out, his brows furrowing and without really thinking, he gently snaked an arm around her shoulders. "Oh no, I - what happened? You'd been working so hard and - " She knew that, he chided himself, biting down on his lower lip before changing angles. "I am so, so sorry."
First the corruption, and now this? Awful, just awful. - and he'd been wondering before if he should have texted her at all. "How long until the second round? - is there anything I can do?" He knew there wasn't, but he had to ask. "Like, anything. Even if it's dusting. I'm pretty good at dusting."

"I was in a lot of pain. Faltered a lot of steps. They noticed." She shrugged, "They know what they are looking for, and they want it perfect. No matter the excuse." She played with the spoon in her bowl. "It's not like I could tell them I was burned due to some guy with a hole in his chest. They'd think I'd've gone of the deep end-" She sighed, "-and instead of that, I'll be able to do it again in...a week."
She rose an eyebrow.
"I like comfort. I like ice cream. I like you. I'm pretty okay right now Handsome." She got up, switching positions with him and pushing him into the chair, then she crawled on top of his lap and pulled the bowl of ice cream over.
"Want to feed me ice cream, Handsome?" She opened her mouth, prepared for some.

So it was because of her wounds. Even if he'd suspected, still... it didn't make him ache any less for her. "Is a week enough time?" he asked softly, "I mean, not - I just mean, do you think the burns will have healed? - will you be okay?" Lorne reached down to brush her hair away from her face, trying his hardest to be comforting - he didn't know how good he was doing, but he was trying.
Dusting. Why had he said dusting? - could he have offered a stupider thing? He was still mentally slapped himself when all of a sudden, she had pushed him into the chair and climbed nimbly into his lap before he could even say her name. Which he did, quietly, questioningly, eyes wide.
Lorne blushed furiously and made some interesting sounds, because this was - well, this was about as close as they'd gotten on their first little collision on the street, and they both knew how that'd turned out. But this was a little different. They were - this was okay.
His smile was still shy, and his cheeks were still red - but he still took up the bowl and spooned out a bite, easing it towards her lips. "H-how's this?"
