This time, as the guards appeared to drag away those meant to fight, others within the cell clusters tried to hold onto the ones chosen, straining to reach through the bars to hold on and try to save a life. Any life.
By this point, it was becoming increasingly apparent that the King didn't care who died, not really. He only wanted to see as many magical folk as possible destroyed in the cruelest of fashions. Yes, despite the efforts of the others, the chosen warriors were dragged out onto the sands. Only, this time, rather than being forced to watch as their fellows were forced to fight, the cavern's walls remained in place, locking those within away from the sight of their friends fighting.
Within the arena, the King has ceased to signal, had given up any pretense that this was anything more than a means for him to indulge in his bloodlust. Already waiting were two Guards and a single Shadow Beast.

OOC Rules
Prisoners will not be able to summon magic or weapons while in the arena. Unless they want to be exploded. To defeat the King's monsters, use the following dice rolls with each post to calculate damage:
Basic Senshi/Pages/Lieutenants: roll TWO d6.
Super Senshi/Squires/Captains: roll THREE d6.
Eternal Senshi/Knights/Generals: roll FOUR d6.
Automatonic Guards: Automatically do 5 damage per turn (be sure to coordinate with your battlemates to avoid confusion)
Shadow Beasts: Automatically do 20 damage every three turns (again, be sure to coordinate with your battlemates)
HP Pools Please note that for the Gladiator bouts, these pools will not change
Basic Senshi/Pages/Lieutenants = 50
Super Senshi/Squires/Captains = 75
Eternal Senshi/Knights/Generals = 100
Automatonic Guards = 80
Shadow Beasts = 125
Remember to put your own HP pool, any damage taken and who you are attacking for what damage at the top of each post in BOLD)
Example Sailor Abluhabluh: 50HP - 5 damage = 45 / Attacking Guard for WHOOPS I MISSED
You are allowed to attack each other! Just remember that while you’re doing that, a Shadow Beast may be taking a chunk out of your a**.

It had been days now. Day after day of watching slaughter and all for some insane king’s amusement. Hyperborea wondered if she would die on this god forsaken planet. She wouldn’t fulfil her duty as a knight. She didn’t want to die like this in this place. But sadly it was clear that what the prisoners wanted didn’t matter, they would dance to this mad man’s tune or they would die.
She had watched time and again, each day, guards come in and dragged a group of prisoners to the arena to play the mad kings death games. Hyperborea sat in her cell, feet pulled up to her chest. She was broken, seeing so much death here had been too much for her. All she could do is shut down and recoil from the world.
Hyperborea wondered when her time would come. It seemed the young squire didn’t have long to wonder as the guards came to take her away. She wasn’t sure why but she felt the need to fight back welling up inside her, she would do this she wouldn’t kill for sport. She tried to kick at the guards to grab onto the bars of her cage. “Obtenez vos mains sur moi! T'as pas de couilles, connard! Va te faire enculer! Je ne vais pas tuer pour vous!”She screamed at the guards not really expecting a response. Unfortunately all of her struggling was for not as she was dragged from her. She saw a hand reach out and tried to grab onto her, it belonged to the mercury page in her cell group. She reached out and tried to hold onto his hand. She was grateful for the attempted help but again it was fruitless. The guards pried her from his grasp and dragged her from the holding cells into the area.
The guards pushed Hyperborea out to the arena with a shove. She tripped over herself landing in the sand. She noticed the cavern wall hadn’t moved, there would be no forced spectators like before. She stood up dusting herself off waiting for the mad king’s evitable signal, but it never came. “Quel salaud! He is not even pretending this about anything more than sating his sick bloodlust.” She said to herself as she noticed the guards and their shadow beast on the field. It no longer mattered to the king how the fighters died he just wanted to see them bleed. If I have to die then I’m not going to go without a fight. She thought to herself. Without waiting for the rest of her fellow fighters or even thinking it through Hyperborea charged at the shadow beat leaping at it. She began wrestling with it, doing her best to ignore its claws as they cut into her flesh.
