In truth, Glitnir was nice, kind, and informative, but Cordoba only had one worry. There was no indication of trouble aside your typical muggers out in the wild or other such unwanted human types, so when the knight went out again, she carried her disc, but it wasn't with much porpuse. In fact, aside from a lazy eye for trounble, Cordobsa was enjoying anonyminity again, slipping through the crowds acting like she was moving for the clubs, the new page eager to see what people did when you weren't a radio DJ. Or rather, her usual haunts. It had proven boring though - and so she was walking to enjoy nobody knowing who she was, and she enjoyed entertaining the idea of pranking people who couldn't find out who she was, and really, just enjoying having some secret she was hoarding all to herself, except maybe one person. Who said there were more, good and bad. Whatever, she'd believe it when she saw it, and the knight tossed her disc once, catching it idly and humming.

The Royal Knight of Earth was almost glad to be having a fairly normal patrol tonight. It seemed it was a very rare day, or rather night, when he could just walk around and look for trouble, and not have something more pressing or dangerous bearing down on him.
It was like a nice little break, as things had evened out a bit, as far as crisis after crisis went. Until the next one, of course, but he hoped it would be some time until then. Or maybe never at all. That would be good.
Let the positive keep on coming.
Feeling the aura of a Page nearby, Camelot smiled and moved toward it. Maybe it was someone he knew, and could check up on, or maybe it was someone new. Either way, it was worth checking out. He did not have it in him to leave a Page on their own.
What if something bad happened?
"Good evening," he said, spotting Cordobsa and lifting his hand in greeting.

Quote truthfully, the page in question wasn't paying attention right away - she didn't know how auras worked quite yet, but a strong one seemed to cack that, making her stop, blinkig and wonder what the feeling was as she clutched her disc for protection with a bewildered look, adusted her visor, and turned to face the armored man hailing we. Whelp, there was at least a third one. Was this was what Glitnir meant by 'us'? "Hullo." Cordoba waved back, hand not quite loosing it's grip on the disc at her side quite yet. "Nice armor. SCA event?" She asked casually. She very strongly doubted it, but she was feeling fidgety with the strange notion of feeling an aura significantly higher, and not knowing what it was or where was making her just a bit figety. A bit.

"Sc... uh, no. I'm Camelot, Royal Knight of Earth."
He smiled at her, tilting his head as he offered her his hand in greeting. He was used to people asking him about his costume, of course, and flipping out when he said his Wonder was, indeed, Camelot. All the jokes about the round table and all that were all too familiar to him, too.
Sometimes it was better not to mention he also had a half-dragon ally and a real dragon summon.
"I've not seen you here before. Are you a newer Page? That's not to say I know all knights, everywhere, but ah. Well. I try my best, anyway." He chuckled, though he had a few hints that she was, in fact, new. Her question about his outfit was one of them, though that could have been sarcasm. Her tenseness, though, and the grip on her weapon were more clear indications.

Cordoba mentally sighed. Called it; but not only that, but the girl wasn't sure what to make of him, but a handshake she knew and the page shook his hand with her free one slowly, eyes remaining on his face - partly from habit, partly from caution. She almost wanted to ask if he was named for the band Kamelot, but she was more or less guessing not, considering she was named after Cordoba and to her knowledge that was in Spain, so who knew. For all she knew, she was going to be laughably, painfully wrong, so instead she shrugged. "Sort... Of... A lot I guess? This' my second time out like this." She admitted slowly. "I like the anonyminity. Uh, I'm Cordoba." Was that right for introduction or? Damnit, this magic bnusiness was weird as hell. "Sorry, I. Uhm. I usually work in music."

"Second time? Very new, then. Well, I'd be happy to keep you company for your second patrol, then, if you wouldn't mind? It's always safer in pairs."
Particularly when one of them was a Royal Knight. There was a very low chance anything would come anywhere near his aura that night, as most just wanted to avoid the stronger power levels and go cause trouble elsewhere. That could be a double edged sword, but tonight it was a good thing.
"It's nice to meet you, Cordoba. You probably don't need your weapon summoned, you know. I'm more than happy to help or answer any questions you might have, but I'm not here for any trouble."
He offered her a warm, fatherly smile and bowed his head a bit. It was a gallant, if not a bit silly and archaic, gesture he had picked up over the years and it stuck with him now. He was a knight, after all, so it was only fitting to act like one. Even if he was also a librarian, and they rarely bowed.
Unless there was a book on the floor, maybe.

"So there are more magic knight... thinbgies." Cordoba blinked. "Or at least three of us." Cordobsa blinked, then looked at her record, head tilting. "Guess, but if I try to put it anywhere, I go back to - uhm, I guess Other-Me? And I like not being recognized." Lord was it nice not having your face recognized in the DJ circuit. She was thoughtful, then looked up wonderingly, and not more than with plenty of uncertainty. "Was he also right there's atmosphere on... Wonders or whatever? You can breathe? Isn't it space?" WHAT WAS SPACE? How do space? Cordoba still wasn't sure. Some things she needed to see; but the rest? Verify or ask directly, and she had no problems being blunt.

Camelot smiled and nodded his head.
"Well more than three, I can tell you that. And there is the potential for many, many more, in all the civilians here. It's a bit overwhelming to think about, sometimes." He looked thoughtful at that, remembering what it felt like to feel the potential in someone, and to know they would be waking into a knight some time. He could do nothing to speed the process along, but at least it allowed him to help and keep an eye on those that would be joining their cause.
It meant reaching them, sometimes, before they awakened, and helping explain things from the get go. Saved on learning the hard way, as they went along, at least.
"Ah, well, you don't actually need to be holding on to your weapon to be powered up. It sounds a bit strange to say, but you can send it to this... ah. Hm. It's kind of like a pocket, I suppose. But yes, if your Wonder is on another planet, then you can visit it, and Senshi Homeworlds as well, if they take you. There's no problem breathing there, as far as I know: no one has ever come back saying they had an issue, anyway. These are worlds and lost civilizations of our predecessors, after all."
Of course, his Wonder was Earth based, so things like that had never troubled him before. He had been to enough other Wonders, and into Space in general, to understand it was safe, though.

"Oh." Cordoba studied the record weapon slowly, feeling the abnormal thickness, and studied it for a while before looking up in confusion, teal eyes wide behind her visor. "...I don't know how." She studied it again. "Last time it just made it all disappear. Uhmmm." She studied it a bit more, and then looked at Camelot again, unintentionally more childlike than she'd ever admit. "But how does that work? Science? I don't get it."

"It's magic," Camelot said, with a smile, as patient as anything, "at least, that's what I've always considered it. It's easier than trying to figure out the specifics behind it. There are some things, I think, we're just not meant to know all the details of."
He summoned his shield to his hand. It was massive, made of solid metal, with a large dragon spreading its wings up and out around the curves of the shield. The dragon's head pointed up, as if about to breathe fire, its eye a green jewel that glimmered despite the low light. The whole thing was almost as tall as Camelot himself, but he did not seem troubled by its weight. He banished it a moment later, just to show her that it was possible, smiling thoughtfully.
"I've never really tried to dissect just how it works. It's good to question things, though, and learn as much as you can, when you can. If you do ever figure out a bit more about that, then I'd be glad to hear." He laughed, shaking his head. Even though he felt like he had always been in this war, there was still a lot he did not know. "Powering down is different. Instead of focusing on just sending your weapon away, you're returning to your civilian self. It's easier to do if you just focus on the whole picture, on you before you powered up. What you were wearing, and that sort of thing. You should be able to remain powered without having to hold on to your weapon, however."

"...Huh." Cordobs studied her disc again, head tilting thoughtfully after watching Camelot, and she examined it carefully, before making a thoughtful expression. It was deeper thought, one that seemed to tsake a moment but followed by, what she felt, might be a rediculous question. "Can we send them places then?" If so, it went STRAIGHT in the record shelf where such things, even abnormally thick record looking things, went.

"Uh, no, I don't believe it works that way."
He smiled apologetically. There were a lot of uses for their magic, but some things had their limits. They would have to deal with only being able to summon and banish their weapons to their hands, and that was it. It would be really useful, though, if he could control his shield from a distance and like... smack it in to someone without having to be close to them.
Maybe some day he'd discover that power, or someone would figure out how to do it.
They were always learning, right?
He watched her, infinitely patient and not minding any of her questions. In fact, he expected more, and was all too happy to keep answering. That was mostly what he was here for, after all.

Lithiasaur i am so sorry Camelot. so so sorry. Cordoba studied the disc again with an expression of pure confusion, flipping it in her hands again. "Magic is confusing." She finally said, then studied Camelot again, head tilting with a bit of confusion. "Why do we exist? I mean. What decides who gets what magic? What's the point? I mean - if the terrorists aren't it, I don't. Get it?" The Mercurian Knight studied her weapon again, crows raising over her visor with a noise of confusion finally coming from her as she did so, and she looked up to Camelot again. "And how many of us are there? Are we a cult?"

NovaCracker Patience of a saint, this one "Well," Camelot said, looking like a professor about to embark on a lecture that would probably be followed by a quiz. "Everyone has the potential to awake as a knight, like you or I. We just need to reach a point where that potential stirs, when our power is needed. And unfortunately, there is a lot of danger in this city. We, as knights, have to protect the innocent lives here from those that would prey on them: the forces of chaos."
He shook his head, frowning at her question, though he supposed he had heard the Negaverse call them similar names before.
"We are not a cult, no. I mean, I've never had a bowl of punch shared between us, so if you want to remain wary of that, by all means. Ah. There are a lot of us, but not enough to combat the ever growing numbers of Chaos. Our enemies are called the Negaverse, and they rely on the corruptive power of Chaos to further their goals. They grow stronger by stealing the energy and starseeds, the very life forces, of innocent people. Chaos itself is our greatest enemy, as it uses those corrupted by its influence."
He sighed, shaking his head and hoping he was making a little bit of sense, though he imagined he was really only spawning more questions.
"We're Knights. We do what knights. Protect and serve."

Lithiasaur Papa knight needs all his patience. Cordoba nodded, trying to listen, although it seemed midway through her mind was beginning to roam until the mention of stealing life and Starseeds, and the page tilted her head, blinking. "What's a Starseed?" She asked. Life force she got - and rather hoped these Negaverse ninjafolk weren't hitting her club nights working DJ as Kestrel, or she'd be rather cross. "Is the Negaverse ninjas? How do we know what chaos is? How would I know what an enemy is if I've never seen one?" On some level she wondered if she was annoying, but she also wondered if her awakening was a cosmic joke - nothing cataclysmic had occured, and shre'd simply been organizing music. Was this bad?
