 Yuri had finally got to his dorm car after taking a very quick stop to the quiet car to grab his stuff, taking off the shoes he had on and setting them by the door of the entrance, setting his stuff next to an unoccupied bed, laying in bed just thinking to himself. Beginning to get bored Yuri opened up the third duffel bag he had which was in fact a rifle bag, taking out his hunting rifle to inspect and clean it if it needed to be cleaned, After checking it thoroughly he put it back in the bag, He was beginning to get nervous and anxious, taking out the keyboard that was a gift from his father, setting it on his lap as he sat cross legged on the bed, He stop to think what song would get him thinking about something else. He smiled for a moment playing out just a few basic scales before playing Dance of the Cygnets.

Deziara whistled her way down the many corridors of the luxurious train. Her sleeveless trench coat swished behind her as she walked purposely down the hall with thud after thud from her combat boots. She was whistling a very well known Tchaikovsky orchestration piece, and she winked at any other kids who happened to pass by her.
She held her carry on slung over her shoulder while she gave her other arm a workout by carrying her very large suitcase. She whistled even lower as she thought of all the different cabins on this train, and how many other students were going to this magical school. Furthermore, she wondered how her team was going to be, and who and what would make it up. She knew there were other elementals out there, but she wondered if any of them knew the art of alchemic reactions such as she did, or at least knew how to fight.
Well, no time like the present, she thought as she finally got to the cabin that was marked with the name that was mimicked on her invitation. Slowly opening the car door, she found only one other person inside thus far. Giving a wide grin, she flung her bags onto- score!- an actual bed, and sat down on it with jubilation.
Looking over to the kid opposite her now, she offered him her hand with a large smile and said in a thick Irish drawl, "Dez. And you are?" Noticing his keyboard, her eyes widened and she said, "I thought I heard the start of the Dance. You play, kid?"

Yuri stopped playing looking like a deer in headlights for a good half minute before taking her hand and shaking it in a cautious sort of manner. "Yuri...Nice meeting you Dez...Yes...I've been playing both violin and piano since I was seven..." He said in a nervous and uncomfortable tone, gently pulling his hand out of the handshake. After that he just kinda sat there, silent and nervous not knowing what else to say.

Dez smiled broadly at the kid's name as she ruffled around in her carry on. Finding exactly what she was looking for, she pulled out a tape recorder complete with headphones. "Here, mate! You can borrow my recorder till we get to the school. I like to play it at night, see, to drown out everythin' else. I've got all sorts of orchestrations on this tape."
She nodded to him as she outstretched her arm, and the recorder, making sure to keep her right arm tilted downward so he would not see her scar. It wasn't that she was ashamed of it or anything, but she could tell the kid was one to get spooked easily.
She whistled after hearing how long he studied. "Now the violin is pretty amazing, but the piano is a real work of art. Never worked on anything for that long except martial arts."

Yuri looked at the recorder she held out for him. He managed a smile but it was clear he wasn't too comfortable regardless. "Thank you. But, No thank you." He said in a slightly blunt tone. "It's actually my longest study, next to Sambo practice and Chemistry and Anatomy." He said not really expressing much but discomfort.

Dezaira gave a quick grin before swinging her arm back and hooking the headphones around her neck. "Suit yourself," she said happily, disregarding the emotionless way the kid spoke to her.
When he spoke of Sambo, she instantly perked again. "You study then? For how long? You think this train has a sparring room? I'd love to test you out on your abilities!" She quieted down a tad when he spoke of chemistry and anatomy. "Do you know a little of chemical changes then?"
She placed her hand behind her into a good sized pouch kept on her back hip by two strong straps around her legs. She pulled out a dark metallic looking spherical rod and held it up to him. "I'm an alchemist of sorts so anyone knowing chemistry is a real treat! I never get anyone that knows a fair deal of chemical properties."
In her excitement of holding up the lead rod, she forgot to hide the twisted and brutal looking scar that stretched from the middle of her wrist all the way to her elbow.

Erika made her way to the Nova cabin, it was obvious what took the heiress so long to get here. Her face was stuffed in the new tablet her girlfriend gave her. "No frills just look tacky with this dress color... maybe if I change the design and color." she murmured to herself as she set her bags down. On the tablet was the designs for a new ballroom gown she was working on changing the design and coloring a few times until the picture came out right. She didn't really look up so was so focused on the tablet as she sat down by the window. However that's when he curious thing about her came to the light. Erika's reflection in the window was not her own, the reflection was more like a succubus dressed as a hooker. "There we go aaaaand done with that design... send to main mainframe and work on the next ones." She said finally peaking over to see if her teammates would have any questions.

Yuri looked at her scar and wasn't really phased by it at all. "Since I was eight, And I do not believe so, The school however, most definitely. And that might not be the smartest idea, I have a concussion." He said simply before hearing her question on his knowledge of chemical changes. "Well yes, I do know a bit about that..." He said before hearing that she was an alchemist. "Interesting, And I'm guessing you can turn lead into gold?" He asked jokingly before thinking it over. "Wait...Can you?" He asked slightly excited.

Dezaira perked slightly when the kid said nothing of her scar, but instantly became downtrodden at his next answer. "Maybe we'll be able to spar at the school. I've been training in Muay Thai for years and I really wanna see which is the ultimate defensive combat, if you're up for it. Oh," she said, quieting a little, "a concussion? I've got some herbs I take for when I've got one; get them all the time, see," she explained before the kid actually asked anything else.
In fact, it wasn't uncommon for Dez to do something completely reckless and wind up hurt, injured, or any other sorts of bruises or cuts on her person and a quick dash of compositional changes later she had herself a pretty powerful brew for the scrape.
When Yuri actually got excited for once, even if he was being completely sarcastic at first, Dez smiled broadly. Without another word, she slightly squeezed the dark lead rod. Without any flash of light, the golden hue sparkled forth from beneath her hands and stretched from her clasped palm all the way to the top of the rod. The chemical changes would act faster, comparatively, and the new chemical would rush from her hands if she willed it too but seeing as it was just a demonstration of her ability, she thought actually seeing the change of the element was more fun than seeing the end product.
Flicking her wrist, she sent the now golden rod flying upward and doubling over, before catching it with ease. With a huge smile she said, "I can change most any metal element into a stronger form, or lesser form, of itself and then manipulate it further with my metal control. Stops at titanium though, haven't gotten past it in years even though I've studied the composition of it entirely. Hence my excitement of you being a scientist, of sorts!"
Green orbs looked to her right and saw the girl who just entered who had been doing something interesting on her tablet when she walked in. I wonder what Farmville game she's playin', she thought before giving the girl a smile.

"It's fine, It'll go away at some point." Yuri said when she mentioned the herbs, misinterpreting what she was saying as an offer for assistance. When Yuri watched the lead rod turn into gold he was astonished and in awe. "Fascinating! I thought the only thing Alchemy produced was Phosphorus and Gunpowder!" He said being so surprised at what just happened, However when Dez looked at Eirika he just got uncomfortable again, doubly so now. He quickly grew quiet looking around nervously before going into his bag and pulling out a huge mental disorders textbook, opening where he left off, beginning to read as that calmed him down slowly.

Smiling, she retracted her left hand from her suitcase, as she had been reaching for her medicinal herbs to calm Yuri, but as he declined her offer she pulled her hand away slowly and placed it on the bed.
"Alchemy can produce anything if you know how to do it!" Dez said with astonishment, more so that at least he knew about the science. "Any type of chemical change can be seen as alchemy. Do you think when we get to the academy we can work together to find the compositional procedure for titanium?" Thinking this too bold she continued, "I've just never met anyone else that knows about this."
Cocking her head, she watched intrigued and confused as Yuri grew silent and picked out a book. She bowed her head slowly to read the title of the book, and found it was one for mental disorders.
"Hmm," she hummed, "Have I upset you, mate?"

Yuri looked up from reading to look at Dez. "I don't do well with women....Certain events from the past I'm not very open about discussing..." He said speaking softly by the end. "And possibly, Just let me think about it..." He added returning to his book. He decided to stop reading putting a post it note at the place he stopped. "So tell me a little bit about yourself." He said trying to strike up a conversation, knowing he had to find a way to get the hell over his gynophobia since half of his dorm consisted of women.

Dez hummed in thought at Yuri's words and scratched a hand through her flaming red hair. "Well, mate, it's not like I can really change that." Well yes, it was possible to have a procedure done, but she quite liked being physically a female. Her breasts were just too nice. "You don't have to discuss it at all. It's your prerogative."
She leaned further onto her left hand as she pondered his answer. If he had a thing with women, she really doubted him helping her, but she could at least hope for it, she supposed. Her trenchcoat was too warm in the cabin for her, but she'd rather not show off anymore of her feminine features for fear it'd make the kid quiet again.
She quirked an eyebrow when he stopped reading and asked her about herself. She wanted to ask what the change of heart was, but instead kneaded her fingers together and said, "Oh you know, grew up in Ireland with me dad. I learned how to fight at a young age to protect myself and beat down some people who weren't so nice. I learned about my element a little while before that," she finished. Her green orbs stared at her fingers, and she wondered if the kid would pry anymore. She really didn't care to tell her own story, but if it would help Yuri himself calm, she would try.

Yuri nodded listening to her, for some reason he was feeling abnormally warm. "Is it a little warm in here, Or is it just me?" He asked before the heat became unbearable for him, taking off his dress shirt that he had on revealing a quite toned physique on a slightly wiry frame, and being a rather surprising road map of scars, He got up from bed inspecting the car, trying to find a thermostat, but so far from what he could see, there wasn't one.
