Juliet Bellerose
I pirouette in the dark...x
I see the stars through me...xx
Tired mechanical heart...xxx
Beats til the song disappears...xxxx
❥❥ "Somebody shine a light
I'm frozen by the fear in me
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me!
So cut me from the line
Dizzy, spinning endlessly
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me!"
Juliet, in both a literal and figurative sense, needed to dance to survive, just as her close friend Anais thrived on singing and playing her violin. The two very literally wouldn't be alive if not for discovering their respective callings. In Anais's case, for the past four months, she'd been homeless and unable to find a job, leaving her with no means of supporting herself other than singing and playing music on the street. Knowing the whole story behind this dilemma broke Juliet's heart, so despite not necessarily needing the money herself, she danced along to her friend's music every other weekday and both days of the weekend, which brought a significantly larger amount of money to her friend since she started doing so. This day, a typical Saturday in early June, was no exception, as a small crowd had started forming near the street corner Juliet and Anais had chosen to perform at today. Usually, Anais wouldn't get more than four people at a time stopping to listen to her, but with Juliet, known throughout town as a dance prodigy to the point of being dubbed "The Dancing Rose", performing at her side, it looked as if a small party had formed on that corner specifically for the two of them, and as Anais's violin case and Juliet's red duffel bag slowly but surely filled with more money, it was plain to see that they were all having a great time. Even the performers themselves were able to forget the cold truths behind why they were doing this and get swept away in the moment, Juliet herself even taking the time to work her way into the crowd and dance with a few of the audience members to get their energy up and just generally make sure everyone was having a good time.
