Prince Sebastian hefted his braid in the direction he was headed, rolling his eyes as his small companion nipped at it playfully. That damn deer was always in the way, but he hadn't the heart to chase it off. It was kind of cute, he supposed. His previous place for slumber had been the place for an invasion of sorts. A small family of raccoons had no problem chasing him off. He was uninterested in sharing his living quarters with such a filthy little breed of creature. They were crafty, though. He'd give them that. The ones he had come across possessed quite a collection of trinkets, which he was certain they'd stolen. Not only did they manage to run him out of his cozy little tree cave, but they'd nearly managed to nab his neck ribbon. He grunted angrily at the thought.

Sebastian's thoughts of the coons had him so disgruntled, he'd forgotten about the small creature trundling about between his legs. One good trip up was all it took for him to spit out his hair and topple over. He growled lowly at the animal. "Look, Deer. I don't know what you want from me, but if you're going to keep hanging around you need to not keep doing this." He sighed and nudged the black thing with a paw, making sure it wasn't hurt.

The stallion frowned a little bit at the newcomer's inquiry. He was seriously hoping nobody saw that. Sebastian nosed at the deer until it got out of his way and started making his way to his feet. Stretching a little, he nodded. "Oh yeah. I'm fine. Nothing hurt here but my pride." He avoided the contact for several moments before looking at the mare and offering an awkward smile. "Uh. Hello there. Kind of a bad position you've caught me in here, no?"

He listened to the mares words, which he was sure were meant to be comforting, but they didn't make him feel any better. Sebastian smiled anyway, though, knowing it would be rude not to. "I suppose you're right. But it's still never fortunate to get caught at such moments." He also took this moment to examine his new company. There was much that was special about his family, so none of her mutations seemed off to him.

"I'm still not sure I'd use the word funny, but I guess everyone's going to have their own views on such matters." Before long the critter which had attached itself to him was under him, peeking at the snake cautiously. "Well. He's sort of a deer. It's kind of different than others that are around. I grew up but he never did." He thought to make a connection between the mare and her own companion but decided against it.

Sebastian felt a little bad at her apology. "No, no. There's no need to apologize. It certainly isn't your fault for seeing me." He should have just kept his mouth shut, but it seemed as if he was never very good at that.

"Oh, him?" He studied the tiny creature between his two front paws and frowned a little. Perhaps he hadn't been as nice to his companion as he should have. "Well, I've always just called him Deer. He showed up when I came out of my basket and I never could quite shake him. Something about him always made me feel uneasy. Now he's not so bad though. It's nice to have someone to talk to, I guess. Even if they don't talk back. I really do wish he would understand that being underfoot wasn't the best of ideas when we're walking though." He sighed and nudged the creature with a paw, who in return rubbed against his leg affectionately. "It's nice that you two get along so well."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't even think to introduce myself." He shook his head and decided the best way to go about this. "I'm Sebastian," he said rather deliberately. He preferred to leave his title out when meeting others. To him it always seemed ostentatious. "Oh, that's fine. I'm sure it looked rather ridiculous. I'd have likely laughed too if it hadn't been me."
