Dark ears perked at a sound not far off, the large Acanine lifting his head to look around. Not far from there he was basking in the his trainer and her pet (because that was all Dama was good for in his opinion) were dozing together under a tree. He tried not to scoff at how cozy they looked with the other canine being used as a pillow.

But it was clear they weren't the source of the noise he'd heard, a revelation that wasn't surprising at all to him. Not considering the familiarity he could feel tugging at him a distance away. Some one was out there that he knew, some one from his past. Another canine warrior he was sure, but who?

Rising to his feet, Tei gave one more glance to his trainer and her pet before he moved out into the grassy fields. Teeming with new energy, he set off at a run once he was sure he wouldn't disturb the pair.

Coming across said Growlithe the Arcanine sat to watch as she studied the berry tree, then as she circled it. Was she wanting some of the berries? Hmph, there was definitely better ways to go about that he was sure.

Still he had no plans to interrupt her business and instead continued to watch and see how this would play out. Would she actually be able to get the berries she sought? Or would she miss? His tail thumped against the ground in his curiosity.

He was pleased to see her make the jump, though he probably would have laughed had she missed, especially since she seemed to be enjoying the fruits of her labor. A snort in amusement at his train of thought left him and he moved to put himself under the tree.

[Are they as good as they look?]

[Sorry,] he replied in regards to her scolding him. Though he didn't really sound that apologetic. Probably because he wasn't sure how she'd missed him at all, he was huge and didn't really blend in anywhere.

[I'm glad they were worth it. I'll admit I didn't think you were going to make it up there.] His gaze fell to her bandanna and his tail wagged just a little. He'd been right in his guess that there was another warrior around. At least, he hoped that was what her bandanna meant. He couldn't get a fantastic look at it considering how she was seated up on the branches.

[It's good to know those sorts of things.]

Seating himself beneath the tree, he watched her still and his eyes narrowed just a little as the sunlight caught the orb that held her bandana in place. So he'd been right. Not that he'd been worried about being wrong, he was never wrong.
