Gvtsiha had had a rough year, really. Well, given it'd been his first year, he didn't really have anything to compare it to. But it'd seemed rough! Growing up was full of trials and tribulations, of course, but lately his mother hadn't been feeling well, and coupled with her being a bit older than usual to have mothered a litter so recently... He knew enough to be worried. Thankfully though she seemed to be fighting through it. He smiled at his parents from the side of the area marked off for the day's fights. His father had encouraged him to try his paw at this. Hopefully this would be as near to actual fighting as he'd ever come. He'd still take it seriously though!

"Thank you for the fight," He smiled (a little shyly) at the lady he was paired with. He was still new to his adulthood, and had a quiet personality. that didn't mean he was going to hold back though—and he certainly wouldn't hold back because she was a lady. He swallowed his jitters and charged her, taking no time to let her come after him first, hoping to bowl her over. He wanted to win this! For his mother, and for the Mantis clan, if no one else.
