Certs link to their teepees.

The following NPC's will be involved as well:
Aura and Algernon (both deceased) being played by Fatal Irony as Abigail's parents
Amelia and Safir (both deceased) being played by Roman Foi as Pavitra's parents

*You will note Pavitra will be called Alaric by his family members in his RP as that was his BIRTH NAME. There were events that lead to him being separated from his family, and the mare who found him called him Pavitra. He does not remember anything before her.

The foal darted from in between his mother's legs to his father's, giggling as he felt his mother's tail move to try and catch him. He was too fast for her, so he thought, and he felt the swell of excitement and pride warm his chest. His eye's caught his mother's that were so like his own and they were full of love that he smiled, hiding underneath his father. He felt the large body above him rumble with a deep chuckle, and he grinned up at his father, whose eyes unlike his mother and his own, were an emerald green. He envied those eyes.

Amelia smiled softly to Safir at their son's playful nature, their other two children ahead of them in the open field playing their own version of tag. She maintained an eye on them, knowing they were safe with Safir here regardless. Alaric, their more attached son preferred to stay near them, however, and that was just fine with Amelia.

The family of three approached casually, Aura and Algernon exchanging contented looks as their daughter Abigail danced around them excitedly. Their two sons had already run ahead to join their cousins in play a ways off, but Abi's favorite playmate was Alaric and he happened to be hanging around his parents.

"Go along, then," Aura said softly to her daughter who had gazed up at her expectantly, waiting for permission to run off with her cousin. The filly's face brightened and she ran ahead, laughing, chasing after Alaric.

"It's a wonderful afternoon," Aura said warmly to her sister and Safir. She shouldered Algernon, glancing at him sharply. He cleared his throat and said gruffly "Er, yes... Good afternoon."

Abigail, ignoring the adults and their boring conversations, ran up to Alaric excitedly. "Have you learned to fly yet?" She was fascinated by his wings, having spent all of her time around unicorns who of course could not fly.

Alaric hadn't seen the three approach but turned excitedly when he heard Abigail's distinct laughter. Smiling wide, he darted to meet her half way. "Abi!" He giggled, his wings unfolding in excitement.

Amelia thought her heart might break with love. Her niece would never know the joy it brought her to love her son so unconditionally. She had to develop a thicker skin quickly the day she decided to love Safir with everything she had. Then again when she found a love she never imagined in her children. Their happiness was now all that truly mattered to her; that and the love she had for her mate.

Alaric danced happily around his cousin, but tried to fold his wings out of view, his face dimming a little. "Nu-uh, papa said it would be a while before they're strong enough he said." He loved that Abigail was interested in his wings. He knew the others in their herd didn't care for them and that made him dislike them himself. He wished he was like his cousin so that people didn't stare at him so openly. It made him want to hide behind his mama who was normal. Papa didn't seem to care, but Alaric wasn't like his papa in that respect. He wasn't brave like that.

"It is a beautiful day." Amelia smiled to her sister and moved to n** her affectionately on the cheek.

Safir nodded to them both, a face relaxed into a neutral expression. "Aura, Algernon." He said in greeting, his wings folding to his sides, though the one closest to Amelia reached slightly towards, always touching.

Aura smiled fondly at her daughter and nephew as they danced around each other excitedly. She knew how important their relationship was, both for themselves but for Amelia and Safir as well. If the children can be so accepting perhaps the rest of the herd could follow suit in time. She hoped so, at least. She returned her sister's affections warmly, giving her hair a playful tug. "Will you move closer to the herdlands?" She frowned, worry crossing her face. She hated that Amelia and Safir had to camp just outside of the herd. The kids were allowed in, and Amelia herself was as well.... but she wouldn't leave Safir. Aura glanced at Algernon and the worry lessened. She couldn't blame her sister for sticking by her love. Still, there were dangers out here away from the protection of the herd. There was an ominous feeling to the air, of something happening soon Aura was sure. She didn't like it. "You and Safir should come and stay with Algernon and I. It would be safer." Algernon shifted nervously, but nodded his assent as well.

Abigail, oblivious to the conversation of the grownups and its import was tugging playfully on Alaric's wing. "Don't be shy, silly! You're wings are marvelous! Show them to me, please?" She stepped back and batted her eyelashes at him sweetly. She was fascinated by his bird-like appendages and the possibilities they presented. He could learn to fly up and get the apples out of the trees, for instance. Or be a more effective lookout for when Abi and her friends were doing something they'd get in trouble for. The possibilities were endless! Whatever plans the little filly made, her cousin Alaric was always part of them.

Amelia stepped back into the embrace under Safir's wing, leaning into his side as she smiled sadly to her sister. "I don't want to agitate anyone further..." Her stomach felt like a stone was growing there, heavy, and taking up space to eat or to breathe. She was sure some of the white hairs in her mane had taken on a silver color in the last several moon cycles, too.

Despite those feelings, though, the stress of being an out cast was worth all the love she had gained. She was sure she couldn't have done it without the love and support of her little sister though. "You have barely room for the five of you. It would just too be much for five more to be added upon that." She clung to the excuse of space, not wanting to admit she feared living closer to the unwelcome air of the rest of the herd. Besides, Safir.... Safir would hate it. He was most comfortable out here, able to fly and scout for danger. Watching the children smile and run and not ask hard questions like 'Why wont Arica speak to me?' She also knew Algernon was made uncomfortable by it all. She loved him dearly for the happiness she brought Aura and did not wish to make him uncomfortable in his own home.

He chewed on his lip nervously before deciding to spread them to their full scale. It felt good to stretch the muscles there, and he couldn't help but smile at his cousin's excitement. He wanted to fly for the sake of being able sore with his papa, to see what he sees and be like him with everything he had. Distracted, though, Alaric reached and tickled Abi's ribs with his feather, giggling with her. "Maybe one day you'll grow some!" That would be so cool, to be able to fly with Abigail! They could fly into the sky and play there in the clouds rather than on the ground with the grown ups. He could sense there were some who didn't like him playing with others besides his siblings. He didn't understand it and it hurt his feelings without him really knowing why.

Fatal Irony
Hmm I was thinking, because of the likelihood of all three kids getting wings being pretty low, do we want to say Pavitra was the only one with wings? That the other two kids look just like unicorns?

I was totally thinking that! Get out of my head! Hahahaha. Maybe that's why he hangs back while his sibs play with Abi's sibs.... they get along because they're more "normal" and only Alaric is "different". Abi is too kind to care.

Amelia chewed her lip thoughtfully, trying to find the words to describe to her sister what she was feeling. There was a certain vibration in the air; she felt it in her bones. There was evil gathering and she didn't know its source. She was afraid - more than she had ever been in her life. Still fumbling for the right argument to convince her sister Algernon stepped forward surprisingly.

"You need to come with us." His serious demeanor and flat tone brooked no argument, but he explained further anyway. He lowered his voice, casting a glance at the foals to be sure they were out of earshot. "There is something coming. Evil is gathering and doom will be upon us soon. You need to come with us, for safety. All five of you," he added, pointedly looking at Safir. He may not exactly agree with his sister-in-law's choice, but he would rather not see the stallion dead, either. "This isn't a time for stubborn pride. We need to band together against whatever is coming." Aura, stunned, moved closer and nuzzled her mate gratefully, taking comfort in his stolid strength.

((easier if we break the kids' post away lol))

Abigail giggled madly as he tickled her, squealing in delight and running away, just out of reach. She stopped suddenly at his suggestion and twisted her neck around to gaze at her shoulder blades, picturing beautiful wings sprouting forth. "You really think I could grow some like yours?" She wiggled, trying to flap imaginary wings, even giving herself a little hop as if she could fly right there. She turned back to her cousin. "Give them a flap!"

Amelia blinked, stunned by Algernon's words. She hadn't noticed anything off about the area, other than her own personal turmoil. Had that cloaked her otherwise good sense of intuition? It wasn't an impossible idea... She was at a loss for words already when Safir spoke up. He so rarely spoke around her sister and brother-in-law, and the shock of what her mate had to say made her bones freeze into ice.

"I know." His deep voice had an edge of wariness. For good measure, his eyes scanned the surrounding parameter. He would have felt much better in the sky right now, being able to see from above what was in surrounding them. He'd tried to find the source before but there was nothing off he could find solid proof of. Just a malicious foreboding that was wafting through the air. He felt Amelia shudder under his wing and he held her tighter. "You should take Amelia and the children with you. I'll fly around the herd's boarders and report back." He felt Amelia take a breath to protest but another squeeze from his wing prevented her argument. He hadn't told her what he'd already sensed what with her worries already pressing in on her about the kids... problems he had played a part in.

"I don't know how it works but I guess its possible! I have some, why not you too?" He laughed, not wanting to let the idea go just yet. He almost doubled over in laughter at her attempt to fly but he tried to hide his excessive giggles. He didn't want her thinking he was mocking her. At her suggestion Alaric glanced at his feathers and made several hard flaps that disturbed the grass around his hooves. The resistance was surprising, but the muscles felt good to be exercised. "Maybe I could give you a ride sometime once I'm bigger!" Alaric said in excitement, not realizing that was a ludicrous idea. He wanted any excuse to be able to share in his wings with Abigail, though.
