After her initial shopping trip to replace some of the destroyed items in her room, Eva had made another run--alone this time--to buy a couple of storage boxes so that she'd actually have a place to put all of her new things. A part of her hoped that shoving her stuff into boxes would help reduce potential damage in the future but...who was she kidding? As if flimsy plastic could hold up against the craziness that happened in Deus.
She may have been gone for a long time, but even she knew that.
Eva stuck her tongue out in concentration, her brows furrowed as she tried to navigate to her room with four large boxes stacked in her arms. They towered at least a foot above her head, wobbling precariously with each step that she took. It probably would have been easier to do two trips instead of one, but...eh. Eeeh! It was fine! She was almost there anyways.
And then she stumbled, and everything went crashing down in a clatter of plastic and a loud "ow".

Otto heard the sound of something crashing as he walked down the hall. Looking up from his MP3 player, he saw a clumsy girl sprawled out, surrounded by plastic bins. "Clutz..." He grumbled to himself and kept going. Until he got closer and realized he knew this girl. He stopped dead in his tracks, his jaw dropping and nearly losing the device in his hand as well. " Eva?"

Wincing, Eva slowly rose up onto her knees to collect her boxes once more, trying to replace the lids that had popped off in the fall. She was vaguely aware of someone coming her way, but made no move to lift her head. Not until she saw their feet stop right in front of her, anyways.
She was still holding a lid in her hands when she looked up, just in time to hear her name. There was a moment of blank staring, and then Eva scrambled to her feet. She threw her arms open wide, unwittingly letting go of the lid at the same time and sending it flying into the wall. She couldn't really care less right now though.
"Otto!" Her intention had been to rush over for a hug, but she forget that she was surrounded by boxes.
One misstep and she was on the ground. Again.

He flinched as the lid went flying. She was as clumsy and careless as ever, and he loved it. Otto was so happy to see her. So much in fact, that he'd been prepared to open his arms too, only to watch her fall over right in front of him. He was silent all of a nano second before he busted out laughing at her. He'd help her up. Yes. Right away.. soon... yep...

Despite her less than graceful show, Eva was grinning from ear to ear as she clumsily stumbled back onto her feet. She shot Otto what was supposed to be a glare at his lack of assistance, but it was heavily ruined by the fact that she was smiling. This time, she carefully kicked the boxes aside, ensuring that her path was completely clear so that she wouldn't make a fool of herself for the third time.
Lifting a loose fist to her mouth, she let out a little cough. "Ahem."
She let silence hang for a good second or two before running forward and practically jumping the poor boy. Eva squeezed him in tight hug, bright laughter bubbling from her lips. "Otto!" Nothing warmed her heart more than seeing one of her dearest friends safe and sound.

He took that time to settle his laughter and regain a semblance of composure. By then, he was ready for Eva and her flying hug attack. He squeezed her tight, finding the familiar voice of hers warmly nostalgic. "Good to see you. Did you fall off a cliff somewhere and couldn't climb back up?" Because he did recall a mission where climbing a cliff was a tad difficult for her. He also remembered being a brat and bugging her about it. As most things went with him

She clung onto him, basking in his familiar presence and warmth before drawing her head back to stick her tongue out. "Excuse you, I got up that cliff in the end!" It just...you know, took absolutely forever, but at least she had done it. "And nah, more outpost duty. I kept getting thrown back and forth from here to there."
Eva crinkled her nose in distaste, but it wasn't long before the smile was back on her face. She loosened her hold on him so that she could press her hands against his cheeks and give them a gentle squish. "You have no idea how relieved I am to see you though! I heard a bit about what happened, and my room was pretty messed up when I came back, so I was worried if you were okay."

Otto smiled and shrugged, finding the familiar cheek squishing to be especially heart warming. "I lived." He murmured airily. "s**t got bad but..." He tried not to let Maebe's condition get him down. It wasn't his fault... "Um, yeah. It's fine." He had many other things to be happy about, after all. Good, bad, they came like thunder or lightning. "You sure missed a lot." Maybe for the best. He felt like he was a whole different person. Eva seemed the same, which actually made him happy. "Need help?" He looked down at the mess she made with a judgemental gaze.

Eva paused, cocking her head to the side and letting her gaze wander over Otto's features and his expression. Bad, huh? She couldn't say that she was surprised, though she wondered just what "bad" meant for him in this case. Her brows drew together slightly, but then she whipped her hands up and aggressively ruffled the blond's hair. She stepped back and formed a frame with her thumbs and index fingers, humming and hawing as she admired her masterpiece. Then she let her arms drop back down with a giggle.
"I'm going to have to lot of catching up to do," she admitted with a wry smile, turning to look at the boxes when he brought them up, "And uh, I don't want to bother you, but since you offered..."
She trailed off with a grin, stooping down to replace all of the lids (including the one she had flung at the wall) and stacking them in piles of two.

Typical Eva. He huffed indignantly, trying to bring his hair back into order while she admired her handiwork. "You know.." He watched as she worked, "If you leave the lids off, and stack the bins inside each other? It'll be like holdin' one box instead of four..."

Eva froze. Straightening up, she stared at Otto with an unreadable expression, her features relaxed. Then buried her face in both of her hands in embarrassment.
"Oh my god," she groaned, her voice muffled through her gloves hands, "I can't believe I was in university once." Or high school.
Or elementary school.Bittiface ...I fell asleep and then I woke up again and now I'm on my phone ONE LAST TAG BEFORE SLEEP

Wow. Otto felt smart for a minute there. "Woooooooooow.." He teased her, tsking and shaking his head. "Yer a real special snowflake, Eva."

Red faced, she childishly stuck her tongue out at Otto in retaliation. "At least snowflakes are pretty!" she tossed back, before removing all the lids so that she could stack them as suggested. Tossing the lids in on their sides, she hefted up all four boxes.
...Yeah...yeah, this was easier...
Moving back to where the blond was, she bumped him lightly with her hip. "You busy right now, or you got time to catch up and stuff?"

He gave her a light smirk. "I always got time for you." He murmured happily, leaning to take her stack of bins from her.

She smiled again, but it was softer than the previous ones had been. Letting out a quiet thank you, she quickly fell into step beside him. "I'm in room 270 now," she told him, only to perk up when something dawned on it. Grinning, she bound forward a few steps and whirled around so that could face him, walking backwards.
"Speaking of which, notice anything different?" Grasping the sides of the coat around her waist, Eva spread them out so that the details were more obvious.
