Foxglove had wandered quite far indeed. Of course it wasn't until the sun had begun to set that she realised quite how far she'd come. Were she not who she was, the impending night would have drawn her back to the safety of her home - her family. But there were things that only came out at night and these were things that fascinated the mare the most. Creepers and crawlies, she shivered at the thought of it but it was not out of fear. Wings fluttering behind her, she stepped carefully over roots of trees, branches and leaves crunching under her feet.
It did not occur to her that if she wanted to see anything, stomping through the forest wasn't the way to go about it. Nor that someone might hear her and come looking. Foxglove was in her own little world, content with exploring - pausing occasionally to look, smell and sometimes taste moss, fungi or other objects.

Foxglove stiffled a yawn herself - it was not unusual for her to wander through the night, often she went without sleep. However, as this was her third sleepless night, it was beginning to take its toll. The sun began filtering through the breaks in the canopy and she squinted. Night hadn't brought any interesting finds and she pouted, wings fluttering in irritation. She continued on and so lost in her own world was she that she didn't notice the stallion until she was close enough to trip over him.
She stumbled forward, quick thinking and her wings the only thing from keeping her face planting into the dirt. "Oh dear," she turned and eyed the stallion - an oddity appearing in the nick of time. "I didn't see you there which is silly because you're so wonderful I should have noticed you right away. My, you're odd-looking. What are you?" She might have been being rude but to the mare, she meant nothing but compliments when she called someone odd because that was the best thing you could be. Her wings were constantly fluttering now, much like a wolf's tail did when it was excited. This was something she'd never seen before.
