Rune was for all intents and purposes being a lazy fish today. Well...lazy was a subjective term. He wasn't gathering anything to eat. He wasn't off doing any number of things he should have been doing. Instead, he was making a new necklace from shells, having decided it was the best thing to do that day. The biggest problem was that he couldn't reach a particular bright, and shiny object he was really wanting to use as the 'charm' to this particular one. It was up on the sand and not easily reached. Which meant he was going to have to get out of the water, at least a little. The concept made him grumble a little. The water was nice and cool and wet...and the sand was...everything BUT. Still...the rather flashy Milotic was inching his way up the sand using his hands and arms to drag his way up along the beach to where his prize lay, gemstoned tail and gold tail flashing in the sun. Kirsi had spent her day in the water, exploring her world for things she could show to her friend, Shousuke. Ever since his short boat trip out with her, she wanted to give him what she could so that he could see the water world as she did. It was so sad that Shousuke wasn't good with the water... She headed for the beach with a bag filled with goodies. Breaking the surface, her eyes widened with surprise at the sight of the pokehuman climbing slowly along the sand. A milotic! So bright and pretty! What caught her attention most though... his tail. He.. was like her, and had changed without growing legs. Lighting up, she darted forward to catch up. "Dew! Hi!" she chirped as she pulled herself out of the water. "You have land friend, too?" Lirilei <333 Do you want me to quote you when I do my replies?

Rune had been lost in thought, picking his path up the sand carefully towards the object of his desire, taking the path of least resistance or possible injury really. The fact someone had almost literally popped up behind him startled him and he let out a yelp of shock eyes wide as he turned, tail flipping on the sand a moment. Oh...a Dewgong! "Land friend? No...no land friend. Water friends. But not land. But I wanted something up here." Which he had lost track of in his surprise....darn. Cornetified Yes please! I don't always get notified when a thread I start has a reply. Would you like me to quote you?

Kirsi blinked with surprise at the startled reaction, pausing her forward motion for just a moment. Then, she burst into a fit of giggles. People seemed to be so easily startled! "Aw. You get land friends. Land friends nice." Her gaze lifted to follow the milotic's path, and she pulled herself up alongside the male, peering at the sand. "What you want? You need help for getting?"

Rune huffed slightly at being laughed at, it was a first for him and he didn't think he liked it much! Still he couldn't be too mad it was his own fault for being so deeply concentrated in the first place. "Are they? You're the first person I've ever talked to on land...but you belong more in the water like me." he flipped his shiny tail a moment, the light catching the gemstones and sparkling some. "I wanted a shiny thing I saw...I was going to make a new bracelet with it, but I lost where it was now." he searched the ground again, but this new angle meant the sun didn't hit it just right, and he didn't see the shiny object he'd been after. Darn. Cornetified Sorry for my delay. I've been sick (and still am actually) and unable to sleep...so muses were all...weird. *lol*

Looking over at the shining tail, she nodded and gave her own pale version a couple swings. "I like both," she replied with a little smile. While she did prefer being in the water, where she could move more freely, the land had so many different things to explore! "Shiny thing?" She looked around the scan the sand, squinting her eyes slightly. "Want help find?" she offered, tilting her head slightly. While she had no idea what the guy was talking about, she wanted to help him find it! Lirilei No probs! Sick happens. Get better <3

"This is about as far on land as I come." he gave a smile as he talked to her. It was true though, he generally had all he needed under the water. But up here did have nicer items at times to work with! So it was worth taking a look. "Uh-huh. Might have been metal, I don't know. Was shiny, and I was trying to see what it was." he gave a shrug and a smile. "Help is good yes!" help would be very good, maybe one of them would see it... or something nice and shiny he could use anyhow!

Kirsi smiled lightly. Maybe she could show him how fun land could be! If only her land friends were here... "Explore more with me!" she chirped in offer, turning to easily pull herself along the sand. So, she was looking for something shiny that the guy would have seen from the water... Working with her memory of the direction the other had been crawling, she would brush at the sand from time to time to see if it had hidden the shiny thing. The first thing she found though was a broken glass bottle. When she picked it up, she wrinkled her nose. She'd cut her hand on one of those once... These were bad shineys. Did this guy know? Sitting, she turned and held up the bottle, pointing at the sharp edges in warning. "This shiny, but bad. Hurts. Don't take them." With her good deed done, she headed for one of the trash cans further up the beach and threw the glass into the garbage.

Rune gave a smile and a shrugged nod. Why not? He didn't have anywhere to be, no one waiting on him. Exploring could be fun, since he'd have someone with him. "Okay sure. I might find more shinies!" That was the whole point to his trip onto land after all. He stared at the bottle with a frown, unsure if that was what he'd seen. He thought it was smaller but it was good to know those were bad anyhow! "Oh, okay thank you! I'm Rune, who're you?" Looking at the beach he was about to give up, when he found it. A small disk of metal with a hole in the center. A washer. He didn't know what it was, just that it was small, and shiny and he could use it for making things. "I found it!"

Kirsi nodded enthusiastically. They could find lots that the guy might like! When asked who she was, she sighed softly. She always forgot the whole introduction thing... "Kirsi!" Perking up at the announcement, she pushed herself over to see what it was that Rune had found. "Good!" she encouraged with a grin. She was glad he'd found what he'd been searching for. "Here. You want my finds?" She'd picked up a couple things that she'd found during her search, meaning to bring them over all at once to ask if they were what he'd been looking for. Now that the mystery was solved though, she could just offer them! With a tilt of her head, she held out a scratched up CD and a plastic costume necklace made to look like a gold chain with a sapphire pendant.

"Nice to meet you Kirsi!" he smiled at her warmly, before he was dragging himself further up the beach looking for things, tail flipping in the water a bit as he did. The offered items were taken curiously, and he looked them over. The necklace was put on for the time being, and the CD was tilted back and forth catching sun rays, and a spot showing on the ground. "Ohhh..." he wiggled it back and forth again wondering what it was, and what he could do with it if anything. "Good things! Thank you!"

"Nice, you!" Kirsi's hands were clasped together, watching Rune inspect her findings. Would they be good enough? He was so bright and shiny himself, he surely had high standards. The approval made her smile brightly. "You welcome!" she chirped, tail flipping happily. "Want us to find more, or happy with what got, dew?" She certainly wouldn't mind looking around for more if Rune wanted. Pulling herself over, she reached out and started petting his hair, inspecting the little stones in it. "You find these? Grow these?"

He was already fussing and fiddling with his new treasures, pulling a few things from the pouch on his bag, and before long he has the cd wrapped up in some kelp strings and all, and he held it out to the other, a new necklace for her. He laughed at the hair petting, and grinned. "I found! Then I tied them into my hair. Shiny I know." and he beamed. He loved how it looked, really. "For you, a gift." why not? She'd helped, so a gift was good he figured.

"Ooooh~" The stones sure were shiny and pretty! Yet.. even prettier was the surprise present Rune held out to her. She gasped with delight and gently took the treasure. "Thankie!" She quickly put it into place, tilting her body this way and that to let the shiny disk catch the sun. Giggling, she leaned over to give Rune an appreciative hug. "Thankie! Rune is friend, yes?"

Cornetified Can probably wrap this up if you want Rune grinned as she put on her little gift, flipping his tail a little causing the sun to glint and shine off the gems. The hug made him smile more and his arms curled around her in a return hug a bob of his head. "Yes! I am now your friend. Friends are good. First friend on land too. Even better." he gave her a bright smile then. New friends were always good!
