Talk about pumped! Hakizimana had never been more stoked in his life. Sure, last years tournament had been awesome, but this year he had a mate to cheer him on. Since he did so good last year, surely this year with his pep squad he could win!
The large, hulking lion padded over to where his fight would begin. He brushed strands of golden mane out of his eyes with a shaky paw. There was just way too much adrenaline in the young male to keep him still! So when he saw his opponent was a fellow Bird clan member Hakizimana had to laugh. This was awesome. Even if he hadn't spoken with her more than a few times in passing, just knowing who he was going up against seemed to make the "fight" all the more light hearted. After all, these were the rogue land brawls he was used to. "No face shots, alright?" Hakizimana grinned. He readied himself, and struck. It was a weak, half-hearted paw swipe to her shoulder to test the waters and little more.
