13 – 21 MAGDIEL WINS Svgata wasn't too sure about this. Well, he was sure he was gonna do it, but he really wasn't that well tested. He was still young, young enough to have not taken part in this tournament before, despite being old enough for it the year prior. He'd frankly been a bit distracted, looking for a certain face in the crowd that he'd waited all year to see. Jumping in on the action seemed like a good enough way to catch her eye. Oh, he hoped she was still around! If only he'd been bolder the year before!
He was so caught up in his thoughts that he nearly missed the call to start! Heck, when had his opponent even come walking up? He was spacing out hard, and it'd do him no favors in this fight. "Uh...ahh!...?" He tried to sound sure of himself as he struck, but stumbled. He didn't quite miss, but the blow was glancing at best, probably not even fazing the female he was paired off with.

Normally she was a passive lioness, she had no desperate need to fight but she had had a dream. It was weird being a seer sometimes. The dream had encouraged her to enter, whispering that she would have some success and it may be a way to enhance her life. What she wasn't expecting was to be paired with a male her first time out, still she was here to win and she had sight on her side, we'll sort of. She had no real idea of the outcomes of the battles she would face but, she felt a sense of accomplishment from her dreams.
When the big male came forward she smiled and sized him up. He had been born here, to her it was clear he had probably never been across a border. She had been born a rogue and though she knew who her parents were, it was harder out there than it was in here.
The males glance to her pelt was fairly easily avoided her lithe figure side stepping while she put her whole weight behind a leap, hoping to knock him off balance. She guessed he was stronger but his heavy mane would probably slow him down in the long run, she just had to tire him out, use her speed and swift paws to keep herself out of harms way.

Svgata was knocked aside—knocked right on his rump!—in an instant. How....! How?! He'd clearly been far too caught up in worrying, and now he was even more nervous. What if she'd seen him pushed over? Well, he'd just have to try his best before he was counted out! He forced himself back up, and would have been almost scary in his bigger size, if not for the way his paws fumbled and how he seemed to over-check himself as he struggled to keep up with her faster movements and get a hit in.
He did manage another blow (another bare tap of a hit, really) but he was already feeling slightly winded. He really wasn't a warrior. He might be good at hunting, but not fighting, or anything that didn't call for more than a slight burst of effort. Maybe if he tried to pretend she was a zebra? He grimaced at the strange idea. He couldn't see it!

Magdiel tilted her head a little, "you know you don't have to treat me delicately." She chuckles circling around him as she took his tap to her shoulder she leaps, pouncing over him she kicks her back legs out hoping to catch him in the ribs as she moved away.
Certainly his bigger size as his advantage but he seemed to be testing his strength instead of using it. She could use is to her advantage for sure.

His ears lay back at her words. He knew she was trying to be friendly and helpful, but it was embarrassing! "I-I know! I wasn't—I mean, I'm not!" He was determined to turn and swing at her, a fierce whap meant to prove that he was taking this, and her, seriously... and instead caught a kick not to the ribs, but right to the face! It left him dizzied, and his swipe went entirely wide, missing by a mile. He sputtered for a moment, vision swimming, and managed to catch himself.
"I'm fine!" He called out before anyone could bother to ask. This was just going awfully, but he wouldn't bow out just yet. So he might not be the strongest or most impressive fighter... At least he'd shown he could take a hit! And he wasn't bleeding or anything. Just because he'd have a no doubt splitting headache later didn't mean he wasn't determined to at least finish the fight, and keep his head held high.

The tan lioness flickers her tail, she felt sort of sorry for the guy, he was getting beaten quite badly by a girl, but he seemed nervous. Still, she was here to win not to be a big girl. She felt the air of his paw as it slashed past her rear and she was very glad that he hadn't managed to catch her with that. It certainly would have hurt!
Taking a few slow steps she starts to circle around the big male, keeping her eyes on him, carefully assessing what she needed to do to take him down. She was after all a hunter and she could take down things a lot bigger than herself, she just had to use the same principals here.
Circling left she suddenly changed direction leaping and shoulder nudging the big male hoping to strike his rear, if she could unbalance him she could pin him and this would be her win. She hoped that kick in the head had made him unbalanced enough that he nudge would topple him over but she wasn't taking any chances, as soon as her paws touched ground she was bounding off away from his potentially dangerous strike.

He twisted to try to grapple with her when she charged him, aiming to take her down with him (because he frankly would be too easy to push over with his head still swimming) and he managed to land another light blow. It wasn't like he wasn't trying, he just kept being a day late and a dollar short, really! He just needed more practice. A lot more practice...
He felt the thrill of vertigo as he tipped too far, then crashed to the ground with aplomb. Ohhh, it felt good on the ground. He'd like very much just to lie there a while and let himself stop aching. He wasn't quite done yet though, and he worked to get his paws back under himself. She'd probably try to close up now, he realized, and pin him down. Maybe, if he could get in just one more hit at the right time...!

As he went down, she approached cautiously. She knew if he caught her she would get hurt and it would be over, still if he recovered enough to stand again she would have to start this dance all over again and she knew she couldn't keep up the high energy attacks forever.
She circled for a moment before pouncing aiming a final blow for his head, hoping just one good smash across his ears may just take him out so that he defiantly couldn't grab her when she went in for the pin.

He saw his chance when she moved in at him, and he rolled, giving up his belly to aim one last kick. Finally something that connected solidly! It wouldn't be enough to keep her at bay though, and like it or not, he soon found himself staring up at a tan and brown furry figure.
He struggled, of course, but his head was starting to pound. Really the sooner he got out of there the better. He'd definitely lost, there were no iffs ands or buts about it. He wouldn't feel ashamed though. Next year he'd just have to do better. And maybe then a certain someone would come to watch. Oh, he really hoped she would.
"I give," he finally admitted. "You win!"Syrius Lionwing Tag! From my phone lol. Good luck next round!

Magdiel smiled and gave a light bow to her opponent. "Thank you for the match." she flickers her tail and helps the male to his paws. Her dream had been right but it hadn't told her what would happen next. She shrugs to herself and flicks her tail. She would live to fight another day, that was quite exciting.
Who knew what lay ahead but at least for this round she had come out on top, it was quite a wonderful feeling.
