History: Hol'n as much as she knows is the only daughter of her father and some unnamed women he meet during his travels. Probably. She has two elder twin brothers and a younger brother that she knows about. It wouldn't surprise her if she learned that there had been more. Her dad got around... and so did one of her elder brother. She rather hopes she doesn't have some nephews running about.
She grew up being shifted from place to place as her father and his lover got employment from caravan to caravan. And perhaps she ended up with itchy feet and a healthy respect for retreating. You can't do much for anyone if you end up dead. She also ended up with a mean punch and a good grip on self-defense, thank you dad and dad's live in boyfriend.
For a long time it was travel, stop, set up camp, help around the camp, learn more about carving, knapping, repeat until they ended up in Trine when a queen had a brood of eggs on the sand and her twin brothers ended up chosen for candidacy. They could have objected but they didn't. She thinks it was probably Naanash who agreed and he probably had some sort of longer plan. He is the smart twin, Vaail is let’s go forward and do stuff.
And Vaail impressed this absolutely tiny crimson that was thin and weak and gorgeous and there was no way they could go on. Family loyalty made them stay, and facts, Lan was crimson and tiny and frail and they didn’t want to leave Vaail alone. She stayed with the twins and her father and Loche and Sunny till they were sure that Lan was going to make it. Her father, Loche, and Sunny moved on and she stayed with the twins.
She wasn't sure how it happened, but Naanash talked her into seeing if she was a potential candidate and what do you know she was. Maybe it was in the blood line or something. She kept with her craft as it was more of a hobby then something she absolutely needed a teacher for and did her chores and learned and felt perhaps a bit trapped.
It wasn't the road and they were stuck in the one spot and Trine was a hot bed of politics and war and fighting fractions and there was no retreat. She wanted to leave but Lanterneth ended up gravid and laying a clutch so they stayed.
Family was important, one thing that always was there and they made sure the eggs hatched and had impressed safely. Lanterneth needed a weyr. An established one.
Sharath flew and the wery was looking forward to a clutch and that coward poisoned her and she left a small clutch of eggs. She stood with her brother and they both impressed. Both to atypicals, really it had to be something with their father. They don’t have the same mother, well, she doesn’t think they have the same mother. … They do have a lot in common, well, Sunny takes after their father and probably nearly seventy percent of the world has dark hair and skin.
Taseneth was her world and she found the other half of herself in the tiny silver. N'ash impressed a crimson, (Something with their father... really, she is side eyeing her younger brother in curiosity of what will happen with him).
Taseneth was full grown when the raid on Benden happened and the next year and a half was violent as they fought to overthrow Keller and won.
They won and things perhaps when a bit back to normal, in so much that the Twins had actually grown up into persons of authority, she never thought they had it in them.
Hol'n and Taseneth found themselves in Arlii and Erinaeth's wing and obtaining the rank of Search Riders and it helped, they enjoyed their work. Enjoyed changing lives and making sure that candidates knew what they were getting into.
She might be avoiding finding her younger brother worthy as a candidate because there is a lot of worrying unfinished business to attend to first.
Description: Hol'n is average in height and an all over lean muscles and deep olive skin. Her eyes are bright green, hidden under heavy lids and long black lashes. Her black hair is styled in a faux mohawk, short sides, longish on the top.
She tends to wear natural colors, bluff tones and blacks and dark browns with occasional yellow or blue. She still has a love for skirts, full or half or short over leggings. Bodice, crop jackets, shirts with long romantic sleeves, and spats are all favorite articles.
She certainly is not fond of dresses and nor is she fond of long hair or cosmetics.
Personality:
Hol’n is a listener, a watcher, she likes the serenity of just watching people, dragons, ect going on their business. There is more to learn by staying silent and listening to what goes around you. Even with the turns passing, she remains introverted, slow to open up to those outside her family but has been doing so, slowly.
She is focused, intensely focused on her work. Hol’n drive to work is strong as ever and she still finds time for her hobbies of carving wood and knapping stone into sharp pointed arrowheads. She always finds time for Tas, though she might end up doing a bit of multi tasking when snuggled into his warm side.
She certainly has remained mostly calm and rational throughout the years, heels grounded and fingers firmly on the reigns/straps of her dragon. Impressing has certainly smoothed over some issues, no one expects her to marry anymore and she feels that she truly her own person and able to do things for herself occasionally. Her elder brothers are impressed and Sunny is a teenager now and doing well and things are going to work out for once.
She still isn't fond of the holds, she feels like they judge her but then, it not like they can do anything really against her. And she has Taseneth and he is perfect and gorgeous and her siblings and perhaps Trine weyr. She wonders about some of the dragon riders but she bites her tongue about them.
They are supposed to be loyal, she doesn't know if they are cowards trying to save their own skins or if it was true. She certainly is going to keep an eye on them, when she finds them. Trine is supposed to be her family now, and family does not betray each other.
Maybe it a bit judgmental and a bit petty of her but she feels the same for those that left for Euclid. They weren't involved and she was in the middle of a war and in a way it hurts. Perhaps it just adjusting to the fact they are in one area now, grounded to just a set group of holds and territory.
And perhaps it is a tad bit that she feels protective of Taseneth for his weaknesses, and the sudden influx of traditional views in wake of the new regime. They work well to overcome them but she needs to protect him and make sure he is truly safe and no one judges their worth. Tas is perfect no matter his colors.

Taseneth brings artistic to a whole new level, the Silver is perhaps the best or worst critic one could hope for in the judging of aesthetics, expression, and skill. He certainly difficult to please, concern with what Hollin wears, what she carves with, what is trending and of course with the state of his weyr, tack, and other possessions. There is never enough and certainly something always better. They have to keep up with the up and coming fashions.
Despite his elegance and composure he is also has pessimistic gloom of his outlooks of what he can obtain. Something is bond to go wrong and it will cause him pain or humiliation or something horrible at the very least.
Underneath the bluster, there is a warm compassionate dragon. He really wants the best for Hollin, and sometimes that gets lost in his air of gloom or his search for what he believes is truly the very best of them but his love is deep and overflowing when it comes to the surface.
