Dyakida smiled as she heard her fellow Alkidike settle down into the chair provided for her. ”Elsheba, correct?” she guessed, ”One of our sisters told me you were interested in buying a weapon from me.” She sat down at, approximately, the other end of the table and tapped her fingers against it, thoughtfully. ”She neglected to tell me which weapon you might want, but that is not a problem, since I can simply ask you.” she inclined her head in the general direction of the other Alkidike. ”So.” she said, knitting her fingers together to still them, ”What can I do for you?”

Elsheba had been somewhat unsure when told that this woman was one of the best up-and-coming weaponsmiths, given her... ehm. Well. The woman didn't want to insult a skilled sister, who was no doubt heads and tails more skilled at anything than Elsheba was. "I am, yes." The younger Blade answered eloquently, gnawing on her lip as she looked around the place where they were meeting. Finally, she leaned forward, clasping her hands together, mirroring the other woman's businesslike posture, settling her hands against one knee, which jittered with nerves.

Nerves because this was a weapon she could potentially be taking into a WAR. Thinking of it, she tossed her eyes at Nimueh - who was unaware that in days he would be sent off to stay with Samoset in Tale. "A bow - I make my own arrows, I prefer it that way. But I don't have the finesse to craft one to my liking."

Mama had asked Nimueh to stay outside, so he didn't get in the middle of business - but the boy was BORED. The small hybrid whined, pathetically, knocking his knees together for affect, body theatrically twisting so he was literally being weighed down to the earth under his boredom, shoulders hunched, back curved, eyes pinched in a grimace.

When this failed to garner sympathy, he pouted and flopped to his knees, peering over his shoulder inside the door of the ...place. He didn't much bother to focus on what it was. He'd felt dizzy all day - symptoms he often felt when overactive, and he just wanted to go home and lazily sit in the grass out front, or just do what HE wanted to do. Instead he was following his mom around on errands, and told to wait outside! What was in there, anyway?

”Making ones own arrows is very practical.” Dyakida said, nodding as she mentally arranged what she would need in her head for the bow, ”But it is indeed best to leave the crafting of the bow to another. I would be glad to make you one, Sister. What sort of qualities, other than the usual, would you like your bow to have?” If it was a fairly ordinary bow, or even if it had a few easy embellishments, Dyakida did not feel like charging even for materials. Not today, when she had plenty of good wood and twine. And, it seemed, her first calm customer in weeks. The other weaponcrafters said the same thing – they had never seen their Sisters so riled up, one way or another, and so eager to get a weapon and get it immediately. No one was patient. So, at this point, Dyakida would be happy to accept news, conversation, and opinions as payment. Of course, if it was particularly special, she would have to ask for a little something more... She tilted her head to catch an odd sound.

”Is there someone else outside?”

Elsheba tossed the woman a lopsided grin, only to grimace at the realization that she couldn't see it. Like many Alkidike, Elsheba wasn't very... sensitive when it came to disabilities. It wasn't until her own son began exhibiting some minor disabilities that Elsheba realized how much Alkidike culture shunned those they viewed as weak, even within the Alkidike families.

Shaking her head at the thought, the woman leaned back where she sat, making a thoughtful sound. "Something sturdy is all I really need. I'm...putting together my own quiver, but my own bow has seen better days."

Outside, she heard Nimueh putting up a fuss - the telltale sounds of a bored child. She chuckled to herself and shook her head, then looked up, realizing the other woman wouldn't have seen her motion for Nimueh to stay outside when she first entered.

Flustered, Elsheba cleared her throat. "My son, yes. I'm sorry, I... just thought you may be uncomfortable with a young child in your workshop."

Hearing his name, Nimueh paused in his theatrics and once again peeked inside the place, making a face at his mother. They'd already gotten all sorts of clothes - blankets, bowls of dried fruit, salted meat, and nuts and other things - a huge amount of food, in Nim's opinion! Of course, he wouldn't realize that his mother was packing for him and Samoset. Perhaps, he thought with a grin, they were having a feast! Bouncing a bit in place, he hummed and reached to scratch the workshop's doorframe, picking at the wood in complete boredom as he fell into a daydream.
