Xariy was tired of traveling with too little supplies. It had been a rough week for the Oban with no good targets to rob, and it didn't look like that was going to change any time soon. With the trade between Tale and Sauti she really expected there to be more people on the roads, but there was barely a soul in sight. She had been perched in a tree watching the road like usual, but it seemed her luck was not the best today. Perhaps leaving her perch and wandering further would be her best option. Preparing to hop down from her hiding spot, she paused when she heard someone coming up the road. Whoever it was, they certainly didn't have a caravan of any sort. Why someone would wander around alone though was another question. She did it because she was a bandit. It was her job to stick to herself and rob others. If this person wasn't heavily armed it would make them a very easy target. She would simply have to watch and see. Maybe her luck had finally turned around.

Talin was not sure he wanted to leave his group behind so soon; they'd been raiding for over a month now. Really raiding as a group under his command at leas; so leaving to return this homeland because of the rumors and whispers was probably not the best idea... but it had to be done. How could he not return to his clan with the knowledge he had of the alkdikdes or not fight and keep the alkidikes from his people's land? And maybe it'll give my group some confidence to know I 'trust' them to behave while I'm not there.. not that I do. He smirked at that thought.

And so he was out here, enjoying the cooler air and scenery of his childhood home.. It was nice and, now that he was back here, the mountains weren't all that bad.. they didn't seem to loom over him as they had when he was little. He smiled to himself; or maybe I'm just not that insecure anymore!
But he had to admit, walking by himself was boring... Talin thrived on people's presence about him... alone was nice every now and then but now he was bored of it.

As the person drew closer she could tell he was a wind man. That wasn't all too surprising seeing how they were in Sauti, but she did figure most would already be off the roads since the festivals were so close. He didn't seem to notice her, but he definitely was traveling alone. What an odd man. She was sure he would've spotted her by now, but maybe he just wasn't paying attention. Not exactly a safe thing to do when traveling alone. Now she just had to decide if she wanted to rob him or speak to him. He was attractive enough, perhaps she'd just speak to him.

"So, what brings you to these parts handsome? Hoping to reach home for the festivals?" she called out, hanging upside down from her branch to watch him more closely.

Talin's hand dove for one of his many throwing knives when he saw movement in the tree; he cursed silently at himself, applaud he hadn't noticed them till now.
I can't believe, he thought when he saw the person, I didn't see an Oban here in my home lands.. I must be out of practice!

Because the woman made no more moves other than to reveal herself and ask him a question, Talin relaxed... slightly. And kept a hand on his dagger; he had been killing obans lately after all! It could be a hunter after him!

"Returning home for the festivities would be most of it, yes." He replied as he eyed her. "What about you lovely? Other than hiding and trees and startling me, what brings you here? Oba too hot for your tastes so you came to see the chilly north?"
He didn't see any obvious weapons she either left them where he couldn't see them or wielded daggers like he did.

"Oh you know how it is. You get bored, you start wandering. Next thing you know you're in a different place with a handsome guy such as yourself around and a desire to see just what he's like," she winked, flipping out of her tree to land in front of him and look him over more closely. All wind earthlings were attractive to her, but this one had a predatory look in his eyes. With him being alone by himself, she could only assume he was a bandit of some sort.

"So, raided any caravans lately? Or stolen from a traveler or two?" she questioned, circling around him casually.

*drags the talin out whether he likes it or not* I will try to be more on top of this one!

Talin chuckled at her forthrightness. "I tend to wander with more of a purpose... Where's the treasure, what's dangerous, where the fun can be...." He leaned back and eyed her a bit. Since she'd figured him out.. was she a thief as well?

He smirked and shook his head.

"Some... Mostly oban to be correct. Your tribe tends to be really loaded with all sorts of shinies and pretties to steal. What about you?" He turned his head to keep the circling woman in view. "Stolen from villages as you pass by or distracted lone travelers like myself while you pickpocket them?"

"Mmm....a little of both. Depends on how I'm feeling. Though I will never pass up the chance to steal from a noble. Worthless people they are," she smiled, though the look in her eyes was far from friendly when she spoke of the nobles. They'd always lorded themselves over the rest of her people like they were so special and had caused her parents more than a few problems. When it came to them she would nearly break her code to go after them. It was part of the reason she didn't like going to Oba that much.

"You work alone, gorgeous? Or you have a gang?" She wasn't sure if she could ever work in a gang again after dealing with Zen and his people, but then again they had been a special case. Maybe there were some gangs that were alright to work with.

"So not even their own people can stand them. How amusing." He said with a smirk. "They are so very much like the icelings.... a fair warning since you seem to be headed towards Zena. Get used to being looked down upon." It was why he'd left Sauti so long ago... being towered over by the mountains and made to feel insignificant by the people and their mountains! Somehow living higher up made them feel like they were above others; Talin hated that...

"Depends upon the target, lovely. I do run a bandit group but some times I want a target all to myself or don't want to be burdened by slower members who can't follow a plan." He had heard of Oban gangs... often from the lips of complaining soldiers!
