Unfortunately, right now Novus has several major issues, but that doesn't mean the entire profile or concept has to be scrapped! Many of the traits are fine, but there are some backstory details that will require some clarification or alteration.
First, unfortunately Novus cannot live permanently in a forest - he can spend much of his time there, but youma must spend at least eight hours a day in the Rift, in order to recharge the energy that keeps them alive!
Second, Novus really should not have been "active" long enough to be a local legend; while there is some room for fudging on the two-week backstory rule for youma, the months or years necessary to be ingrained in local folklore is a bit more than we're willing to allow, sorry!
Third, I have a question about this cave he is protecting -- is it meant to be some sort of special location to him? I'd just like a little detail about it so I can review properly, especially since it would be very unusual for a youma to feel compelled to protect a place.
Last, teleporting people away from him is a somewhat overpowered youma ability, unfortunately - most youma have much simpler ones, and I'm happy to bounce some ideas with you if you have ideas for what you want besides teleporting!
