The night sky was clouded over. Not a star nor the moon was able to break through the shroud. A gentle rumble of thunder echoed over the city as small droplets of water began to fall in a slow pattern. The concrete sidewalks and roads soon became spotted with the gentle barrage of rain before the sky finally opened up and unleashed it's torrent bringing with it the occasional flash of lightning and crack of thunder. A night that had started off as merely dreary had quickly escalated into something no one really wanted to be out in. Harmonia had decided, against her better judgement with the weather, to head out on her patrol. For the most part, she had been lucky. The night was more than half over and the weather had held, but of course, when she was furthest from her house, the sky decided to unleash it's fury. With the rain coming down at the clip it was, it didn't take long for Harmonia to be soaked through. And truthfully, it wasn't all that bad. The night air was warm and the rain wasn't all that cold, it just wasn't completely comfortable being soaking wet. I should duck under somewhere and wait for this to pass. From her spot on the roof of the gym at DCU, Harmonia hurried down from her potentially lethal spot and made her way underneath an awning. She eyed the door leading into the gym. What are the chances it's opened? I mean it's a university right? Some stuff is open all the time I think. Figuring she had nothing to loose the Senshi of Harmony grabbed hold of the door's handle and pulled. With the small creak of a weathered hinge, the door opened up into a dark open space. Slipping into the gym, Harmonia sighed and looked down at her drenched self. The ambient light from outside leaked in through the numerous windows near the roof. It was enough light to make out some shapes and to see that she looked as bad as she felt. A flash of lightning illuminated the room for a split second. "At least it seems empty. Hopefully this storm doesn't last too long." She sighed but decided to take the time to explore. After all, it wasn't every day a 14 year old got to check out a university gym. frayedflower I hope this is alright. If you need me to change anything, LMK. smile

Amphitrite did love a thunderstorm - she wasn't sure if she always had, but she did now. The rain was cool and soothing against her exposed flesh, and the rumbling of thunder coupled with the flashes of lightning invigorated her, got her blood boiling.
When she sensed one of those order senshi prowling around by themselves... talk about a no-brainer. What a glorious way to spend such a beautiful night.
The gym had become a familiar place to her after the whole affair with Sandrine - what a fun night that had been - so as the corrupt senshi slipped in and slunk carefully along the bleachers, she felt almost at home. Odds were the girl would sense her, but could the senshi spot her in the brief flashes between the darkness? Would she even understand who had found her?
Amphitrite's lips curled into a smirk. "The storm's only just beginning, sweetheart, " and her voice echoed in the gym, the effect only heightened by the next crack of thunder that followed close behind.
Time to play.

Harmonia walked around the empty space. Catching glimpses now and then of of the banners that hung from the ceiling, bleachers, and bins of balls. It really wasn't all that exciting to see. A typical gym.She froze when she sensed the aura and it was close. She was mentally cursing herself for not being more careful when the voice broke the silence between the claps of thunder. Without realizing it Harmonia let herself fall into a small panic. Not only was she out alone she was in an enclosed space and couldn't see worth damn. "Who's there?" She put as much force into her voice as possible, praying it didn't sound as scared and wobbly as she thought. Taking quick breaths she tried to look through the gloom, using the occasional flash of lightning to try and scan her surroundings as she tentatively moved in the direction she had come from. She needed to get outside. Storm or not.

"Maybe I'm the nightmare you had last night."
The corrupt senshi crept along the bleachers, illuminated briefly by a flash of lightning.
"Or maybe I'm the monster under your bed. Depends."
She was having too much fun with this, taking advantage of the rumble of thunder to seemingly 'appear' on the hardwood floor with the next flash. They were so close together now, the storm seemingly directly over head.
With the next rumble of thunder, Amphitrite slipped around behind her. Just close enough to whisper into her ear, "What are you afraid of?" before she launched herself at her, aiming to knock her face-first into the floor.

This was not OK. This was not OK for many, many reasons and Harmonia could feel the panic settling into her chest. With each flash of lightning Harmonia looked around wildly for her would-be opponent. Each time the girl, who strangely resembled a senshi, was illuminated by mother nature she was all that much more closer. Licking her lips Harmonia tried not to listen to the words. She tried to focus on getting herself out. When the other appeared not too far from her on the open hardwood floor, Harmonia's panic escalated. The last time she had been by herself with an opponent and no one else around had not turned out well for her. Plus, being in an enclosed, dark space like this was not helping her. She felt trapped. Then she felt the breath on her ear right before the words came. She half screamed half squeaked in fear as she instinctually turned herself around with her right arm out to hit the girl. This coincidentally happened the same time she was knocked clear off of her feet. Thankfully she didn't hit the floor with her face but her back certainly felt the impact. Or, it would have if she wasn't so pumped on adrenaline and fear. Harmonia knew better than to let herself stay pinned though, Harmonia attempted to use the momentum of the fall to help her roll away. frayedflower Sorry this took so long! I went on a mini vaca last week and I think my brain decided to stay there or a few extra days. >.>

Amphitrite couldn't help herself when the senshi yelped; she started laughing, dodging nimbly away from flailing arms. The thunder swallowed her humor for a few seconds, but the sound still carried, loudest with the corrupt up close and personal.
This was just too much fun.
A puny, sad little senshi, just like the rest. Too bad for the Negaverse that she'd awoken as order. Too bad for the girl that she had awoken at all. "Oh, honey, did I scare you?" she mocked viciously as she swept after the senshi, aiming to plant a kick with her shell heeled shoes.

I can't keep freaking out like this! Harmonia tried to calm her breathing down which had grown rapid and gaspy in her fright. It's the space that's making you more jumpy than usual. Just try and calm down or you'll be in major trouble. Taking air in through her nose she let it out as slowly as she could while trying to keep track of her foe. A kick in her mental butt helped...a bit. The lightning, thunder and the roar of the rain on the rooftop was not helping matters in her least. "No. Not at all." She certainly didn't sound much more confident than she felt. Well...lying had never really been her forte. It was the click of a heel that warned the young senshi that something was coming. She had no clue where it was going though so she took a chance and dropped down onto a knee, tucking her head as far as she could. She practically felt the air of the kick brush her hair. Her training kicked in though. Not wanting to loose an opportunity she kicked out in the direction she assumed the other girl was at just as a flash of lightning lit the room again. "It's not nice to try and scare people!"

Amphitrite took advantage of the flash to dip to a side - keep moving, she reminded herself. The darkness was her advantage here. Just keep playing the way I've been doing. "Oh honey, " she cooed, dancing around behind her to give the order senshi's hair an almost playful little flip. "I'm not even trying."
She took advantage of the next boom to try and rush her again, only this time, to try and tackle her to the ground. If she could just pin her... !

The scarey thing was, Harmonia knew that the other was truly barely trying. And the senshi was taking great delight in this game that had unfolded. A shudder ran through Harmonia's body as she felt her hair being touched and she swallowed another squeak of surprise. Harmonia knew she needed to get a hold of herself. She wasn't like this normally. Sure, she wasn't always the most confident of fighters but tonight she was acting like it was her first rodeo. Another boom from outside and Harmonia flinched slightly. It was so loud and close that she couldn't help the involuntary reaction. Of course, it also meant she wasn't anywhere at all ready for the attack. When the other body hit her Harmonia expelled air in surprise and felt herself forcibly dragged to the ground by the weight and moment of her attacker. She attempted to brace her fall but only succeeded in bruising her elbows and causing the shock of the impact to jar her shoulders. Needless to say she ended up flat on her back and dazed for a second.

It was literally the perfect chance. The senshi girl was weak and prone and completely vulnerable, her body warm and too soft beneath her - she wondered if this was what she'd felt like as an order senshi. Surely she didn't feel that way anymore, after all the work she had put in?
She thought back to her fight with the other senshi, Aegir, and the knight whose name she couldn't be bothered to remember - she remembered reaching for his chest, what she'd intended to do, how she'd frozen and locked up when unwanted memories flashed before her eyes. Threats. Leucite's hand in her chest.
There was still a softness to her, wasn't there? This would be the time to try and fix it. Her face twisted in a flash of lightning as she focused, aimed for the girl's chest, aimed for the life force trapped away inside - and even as the memories repeated again, the phantom pain and violation playing out before her eyes, she was determined not to pull back.

The dazed reaction didn't last long, but it was certainly enough to put Harmonia at even greater a risk. In the darkness she couldn't see the corrupted senshi's expressions. Harmonia had no idea what was about to happen. Her only thought was to get herself free from her opponents weight. Then she felt it the shift. Just a little bit but Harmonia could feel the pressure lift slightly on her left side. She wasn't sure if it would be enough but she used that small weight shift to try to push herself over so that maybe, just maybe, she could be the one on top pinning the other girl down. Using her left arm she attempted to push herself over but met with a surprising amount of resistance. 'Get off of me!" She yelled as she blindly threw her left first towards what she assumed was a shadowed face.

Amphitrite shifted when the first came flying towards her face - knuckles still clipped the edge of her cheek, and it was enough to hurt. But not enough to make her stop. She had something to prove, and she was going to prove it.
She said nothing. Just gritted her teeth and pressed down with her hand, and it was surprisingly easy. Her fingertips just slid beneath fabric and flesh, as though the girl beneath her were a ghost instead of flesh and blood - or maybe Amphitrite was the ghost - it was so easy, so damned painfully easy, so -
Sweat beaded on her brow. Her hand shook. And before she could do any real damage, the corrupt senshi pulled away and rolled off of her target, and the sound of her gagging was lost to another roll of thunder.
Still too soft - she was still too damned soft.
Kolina Please let me know if I should change anything at all okay?? biggrin

The brush of skin against skin was enough to hearten Harmonia. She hadn't been far off. But unfortunately the girl didn't budge from on top of her. Instinctually Harmonia pulled back to throw another, better aimed, fist at the Nega's head when she stopped short as pain shot through her body at the intrusion. It was vaguely familiar yet no where near as intense as she had once experienced. When her attacked rolled off of her, Harmonia laid there for a moment, eyes wide. A flash of lightning and a rumble outside broke the silence. Sucking in a deep breath Harmonia rolled onto her side and quickly found herself on top of her attacker. She had no intention of budging from her perch. Before she could even think, Harmonia was aiming a punch towards corrupted senshi's jaw.

In the flash of lightning, Amphitrite looked, for the first time that night, like a girl - not a woman, not an agent, but a girl, her eyes wide and wild. However fractured she was, that one moment she was as close to Natalie Roux as she had been in months.
A girl she wasn't anymore.
The punch connected soundly with the corrupt's jaw, clacking her teeth together and, again, she was reminded of Leucite, of the past, of her swollen face and snapped wrist and the violation. Abruptly, the senshi of shells lurched upwards, intent on headbutting the Order senshi in the face.

Harmonia saw the look. She saw it but had no way of retracting the fist she had sent flying at the corrupted senshi and felt her stomach drop a bit when she felt the impact of her fist. There wasn't anything she could really do. They were locked in a fight, and Harmonia truly was scared and practically flailing her way through this entire encounter, but that one flash of vulnerability was enough to set doubt in her mind. As quickly as that look had come it disappeared and Harmonia barely managed to get her arm up and over her face in time to try and block what would have been a terribly painful headbutt. Quickly she pushed herself up and away from the other senshi. She was breathing quickly as she watched her opponent. "Stop! Let's just stop!" She yelled over the thunder and rain that echoed within the gymnasium.
