Valeria was on her way back from Imladris to meet up with the other half of her family. Often times her mother made this journey with her to visit with the mare's father and her siblings, but this time Leilani had made other plans. She wasn't afraid of traveling alone, her father's herd had eyes out in this area so she would have been informed if there were any trouble before she set off. It had been a blissful, quiet journey thus far and she had walked most of if out of habit. Her mother had given birth to winged foals, but had no wings of her own and it seemed rude to leave her alone on the ground while Valeria flew. She did know how to fly though and had gotten a good deal better in recent times. The flying lessons from her father and her mother's friend (she knew there was more there than met the eye, just from her mother's tone) had paid off nicely after hours and hours of practice.
She stretched her wings as she continued along the familiar path, considering when her next visit back to Imladris might be and wondering if her mother might join her this next time. Her father had come to see her off as he always did, despite the fact that he wished she would simply remain with the herd. If her mother weren't such an important part of her life she might have been willing to honor his wish, but right now it was something she simply could not consider yet. Perhaps, when she was older and had seen enough of the world to discover what her place in it might be. But right now she was barely a mare grown and she had yet to meet many others outside of their family. Valeria hoped her father could understand that.
It was very rare to come across strangers this close to Imladris' territory, being so out of the way. So needless to say Valeria was more than a little surprised when she came across the golden coated and black haired angeni, who appeared to be adorned with rather interesting ribbons? "Pardon me..." She lifted her voice enough so she might be heard from the short distance between them. The safest course seemed to be to announce herself before she got too close, lest she startle the other soquili. Once acknowledged, she would take the opportunity to move a bit closer and get a better look at the stranger. "Are you lost?" The other party was similar in size to herself, and what with all the feathers and the mane in the way, it was difficult to make out from this distance whether it was a stallion or mare. "The Imladris doesn't mind visitors, they are just quite rare." Uta If her font color is too hard to read let me know.
