Rider
Name: Vosin
Age: 26 Turns
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Rank: Wingrider
History: She was born at Benden Weyr with her twin. Her parents were V'ron of Brown Blakarth and Messelin of Green Mumunyeth. Messelin was Searched for a Queen Egg, but ended up Impressing to a green instead. Vosin and Vesin got into the normal amount of trouble for a couple of girls in the Weyr. When they were 3 their first brother was born. A Turn later and the twins had a second baby brother. The girls were very happy to have another sibling to love and show around.

They were 12 Turns when First Fall happened. It was hard to not be able to join the wings, or know she’d eventually be able to join the wings when her dragon grew up. She hoped to be able to join the ranks soon, but internal politics rose up before that could happen. The twins had a good relationship with their parents and their father supported them during their candidacy.

Vosin’s parents were not allowed to really rise in rank under the traditional views due to the color they rode; though V’ron had slightly more opportunities than Messelin. Their parents were willing to follow Wherhandler Keller for his ideals in equality. However, V’ron and Messelin did not whole heartedly agree with his aggressive means to the end. Yes, they helped but were sure another more peaceful means could have been found.

The twins at only 13 and a half Turns were not allowed to participate in the fights. Vos is on the fence about new versus traditional. How is the new better when it causes more in-fighting? She thought Keller might have gone with the most expedient means rather than peaceful. For now, she’s content to stay at Wherhold Benden, but she may decide to leave if he tries to start more fighting.

Two Turns later, the 15 Turn old twins got it into their heads that they wanted to see the world. Some say the whole idea was Vosin's. To accomplish this, they stowed away on a trader caravan. They didn't get far before discovery, however, and were returned promptly. They had to endure extra chores for months and even after their punishment ended the threat of not being allowed to stand the next clutch always loomed if they dare to put another toe out of line.

Now that Gold Banshidheth has had a good Flight, Vosin is hopeful their Turn of walking on pins is over. She has her fingers crossed that she and her twin Impress this clutch.

Time Jump
As the young pair grows, Killakeeth and her rider Vosin are usually smack dab in the middle of whatever trouble the weyrlings are getting into this time. The pair neared adulthood and meet Arlii and Erinaeth. Arlii tried to convince Vosin to leave and join Trine, but she declined feeling bound to the wherhold despite Keller's hold. Vosin eventually realized that the leader isn't holding to his word of equality for all. She decided she needs to try to do something about it. Her not so subtle actions bring her to the attention of Anali who makes an overture of friendship. Before the pair can betray their hand to Keller, Anali takes Vosin under her wing when Keller poisons a gravid Trine gold. Together, they do what they can to undermine the leader's authority.

In the end, Vosin and Killakeeth join the battle for Benden on Trine's side. They fight valiantly, but sustain severe injuries in the fight. They are transported to Trine for healing. Vosin and Killakeeth spent many moons recovering. Due to her injuries, the gold was late to rise for her maiden flight. She flew well and was caught by a bronze. Killa had a good clutch of 31 eggs. The pair eventually settled in at Trine, although Vosin always felt Benden was her home. Occasionally she would visit her hold home for a couple hours.

With the loss of power for the golds, Vosin decided she'd like to try attaining the rank of Searchdragon or Courier. She doesn't want to always be at the Weyr and wants plenty of adventure.

Description: She has long, bright red hair that is held back in a braid; it usually rests over her left shoulder. Vosin has beryl green eyes and a light tan complexion. Now at her full height of 5’5”, Vosin has filled out admirably with moderate curves. There's a light dusting of freckles across her cheeks and nose, and her nose is almost always slightly sunburned. Her taste in clothes has slightly refined to colors that compliment her, but she still wears pants, shirt, and vest. On special occasions like Gathers, she’ll show off that yes she can and will wear a dress.

Personality: Vosin has always been a determined girl and a goal getter. You don't get if you don't try hard. She sets her goals, sometimes a bit too high, then strives to achieve them. Vosin may have a difficulty in admitting some goal is too hard for her to reach. She is also prone to having "eyes bigger than her stomach", and it often results with her biting off more than she can chew. Sometimes she needs to be told she's taken on more than she can handle alone. Another habit that can land her in the fires is her tendency to "leap before she looks". When a simple problem may really be complex, she may not realize it. Through it all though her twin is there to watch her back and pull her out of the fires when the situation needs it.

She carries a high sense of responsibility to her family and Weyr. Vosin will often go above and beyond the call of duty. If something needs to be done, she will go the extra mile to see that it is accomplished. She will willingly put in extra hours as needed. Sometimes she may forget others don't feel this way and commandeer someone to help her finish the task. Although she feels that structure is important in life, it’s good to be able to relax a little. She can get a bit wild or rowdy in her free time. Though she has her eyes on several boys she’s not willing to risk being able to Stand if she gets pregnant. That can all wait. Over all she tries to see the best in people in what they can do and who they are.

Vosin can get carried away or be controlled by her emotions or if she becomes super excited about something. She has plenty of enthusiasm during these times, but perhaps not a lot of sense. This tends to lead her toward rushing into things a bit unprepared. As usual its her twin who comes to her rescue. Vosin has learned to make quick decisions; these may sometimes be hasty decisions. She may reach a decision before she has gained all the necessary information. One of these is her belief that she feels she doesn't understand non-weyrfolk. She feels awkward around them, and tends to cultivate an aloof image around them. The one person Vosin will always listen to and hear another side is Vesin. She is more likely to concede or make a compromise if the request comes from her twin. She values her siblings dearly.
Other: Has an identical twin sister, two younger brothers, and a brown flit named Vintage

Dragon
Name: Killakeeth
Age: 10 Turns
Colour: Gold
Description: Killakeeth
Size- Above Average
Build- Muscular
Personality: A hedonist through and through, the closest thing to ambition Killakeeth has is a whole-hearted dedication to enjoying herself. While others waste their time pursuing power, glory, or lofty ideals, she cares only for pleasure, a pursuit she could easily follow to her own ruination if her rider does not find a way to hold her in check. Being a dragon, she may have to find some creative ways to indulge herself, but rest assured that she will find them. The most obvious and readily-available indulgence, food, is a great weakness for her, and if allowed to, she will spend an inordinate amount of time choosing what she deems to be the finest beasts to dine on. She will also eat more than her share if given even half a chance, and as a result is likely to carry extra weight throughout her life. Threatening her with that possibility - or insulting her when it becomes a reality - will have little to no effect, however. Why should she care what you think? It's her choice, her life, and she's going to enjoy the hell out of it. You should give it a try sometime. It's awesome.

This is one gold who is envious of green and crimsons, and for one reason only: their frequent Flights. Her biology dictates that she will Rise only once a turn at the very most, whereas they get to enjoy themselves several times a turn. It's simply not fair! Any green or crimson friend of hers will be pressed for details after every Flight, and she will be quite disappointed if they choose not to share. In an effort to make up for her own limited 'action,' Killakeeth will even pry into - and encourage and meddle with - her rider's love life. As if that weren't enough of a headache, once she grasps the concept of currency, she may even attempt to gamble her rider's marks, most likely in the form of betting, whether it's with another dragon willing to make promises their rider will have to keep, or directly with humans. Killakeeth is not shy in the least, and does not hesitate to bespeak others if she thinks it will lead to anything enjoyable. Human games of chance will fascinate her, too, and if Hers is the sort to play them, she will observe closely and attempt to learn. With time, she might become passable at them and try to orchestrate games with other dragons with their riders acting as proxies.

It should come as no surprise that, as a lover of all things pleasurable, Killakeeth is quite social, and usually great fun to be around, but she has no time or patience for sticks in the mud. Overly serious, rule-abiding, or grouchy types are not welcome to her party! No matter the personality type, forming lasting friendships may be difficult for her, as her priority will always be herself and her own gratification. All that being said, she isn't sunshine and rainbows and oblivious cheerfulness; she is an intense dragon, and under all that carousing there lies a darker edge to her character. The 'tame' entertainments are not always sufficient, and not all of her pleasures are light-hearted: she can enjoy a fight as much as a Flight, and can find a certain vindictive amusement in the suffering of others. Her current friends will usually not be subjected to this, but anyone else is fair game, especially her enemies.

Killakeeth is intelligent but borderline self-destructive, aware of her faults but dangerously accepting of them. She always runs hot, never cold, and her temper is unpredictable. If she loses a game or is denied something she wants, she may simply pout, or perhaps throw a little tantrum, or - if you're very unlucky - fly into a terrible rage. Playing with Killakeeth is its own game of risk, and the rules are always subject to change.
Other: Isn't it obvious? Vosin is the only one here who knows how to have a good time, and nothing is more important to this gold. Whereas Killakeeth is all pleasure and no business, however, Vosin realizes that compromise is necessary, and may be able to rein in her dragon and impart a desperately-needed sense of structure. This will not be an easy task, however, and Killakeeth is likely to take on the roll of devil on Vosin's shoulder, urging her to let loose and indulge more: you know you want to.

Both are prone to getting carried away, so when they get swept up by emotion or passion, watch out!

Edit for Searchrider!

Before: With the loss of power for the golds, Vosin decided she'd like to try attaining the rank of Searchdragon or Courier. She doesn't want to always be at the Weyr and wants plenty of adventure.

After: With the loss of power for the golds, Vosin worked to settle into their new roles and order of things. It was certainly an awkward initiation period for the whole group. What was going to be expected of them now? What bothered Vosin most, was figuring out how they fit in with the weyr again It didn't help that Killakeeth couldn't be allowed to chew firestone. Vosin made sure though that they mastered the formation flying and different maneuvers.

A Turn quickly passed among the Queen's Wing. Vosin still felt like something was off. Killakeeth maybe felt at home just lounging around the weyr, but she wanted to be more on par with the rest of the weyr in the spirit that everyone had an equal chance. True they flew Thread using a flamethrower with the rest of the Queen's Wing whilst the rest of the wings flew the main Fall. However, it didn't help that she still felt the rest of the weyr looked down on her, and in turn her dragon. There had to be something they could do!

Vosin spent nearly a full sevenday searching out her options. In the end she presented two to Killakeeth. She liked that both provided the option to get out of the weyr and do something.

"Here's our options Killa. We could be couriers. They get to go out and deliver messages and give those who need it a ride to or from the weyr." The woman looked at the large dragon expectantly. She wasn't sure how the gold might feel about playing runner to some tramped up holders. A large eye turned toward her. 'So we would be at other's beck and call.' The tone conveyed all the disdain the dragon felt about the idea.

"I thought you might say that so I found an alternative." She grinned with delight at the other option. "How do you feel about picking out kids for your clutches?" Obviously the candidates would stand at any clutch laid, not just Killakeeth's, but Vosin didn't mention that. She could feel the dragon's interest at the idea. "We'd be able to get out and go where we want. Think of the admiration you could get while we're out." They could check any hold for likely kids. 'That sounds delightful. Let's give it a try.' Choice made, Vosin went to tell her wingleader. The pair dived in and never looked back; two turns quickly passed for the contented pair.

Hey!

Just one small thing to clear up, golds and breeding crimsons do not fly with the main wings, they fly with the queen wing which is down in a low sweep position as they always have as flamethrowers don't produce a large enough flame to be effective in dense Threadfall.

If you could edit to fit with that that'd be great, thanks! <3

I thought that was what I'd put? XD
"True they flew Thread with a flamethrower whilst the rest of the wing flew the main Fall. "
^ says they fly the lower queen wing's sweep with a flamethrower while the rest of the wing does the usual thing. I can make it clearer if you like.
If I missed somewhere else where I screwed it up lemme know?

Ahh, I see! It's just a slight tweak in terminology that's needed then. Dragons from the other wings in the Weyr wouldn't be referred to as her wingmates; only the other golds, breeding crimsons, and any others who happen to be flying in the sweep wing would be. Instead of wingmates you could say something like 'pairs from the other wings' perhaps? And where wing appears somewhere like this "whilst the rest of the wing flew the main Fall" just pluralise it. <3
