Character || Nuri Stage || Beast Charmer Battling || Zore x 2 Battle Stat || 22 Defense || 10 Roll Needed || 60-100 Rolled || 63, 89 Outcome || Win, Win Experience earned || 48
( 8 x 6 ) / 2 = 24 x 2 = 48
Note I used my previous experience for growth items, but I still have 50ex listed in Nuri's journal. Just wanted to let you know for updating sake :>

Nuri pulled his cowl tight against his face as he moved away from the gates of Sulburi, his eyes keeping a tight watch on the path before him. It was late in the morning as he traveled away from his city, his faithful Janarim companion set by his side. After only a few weeks of orientation and drills with the army, he received his first 'mission' from his superiors, and it was one that was clearly left for the newest of new. He would never complain, as a mission would always be a mission, but it was not as glorious as he had dreamed his duties would be.
But anything was better than cleaning the barracks and running drills.
As he neared the location he was set to manage, Nuri caught sight of the two creatures causing all of the fuss. A tree along the travelers path housed a newly made nest containing two very fussy Zore. Both had been reportedly attacking merchants who would walk by, leaving the entire company in a fuss. Word had moved back to the army, and someone was required to go and check it out, as well as deal with the situation. Hopefully, he wasn't too late.
If they had already laid their eggs, there was no chance he would get them to move without risking the health of the chicks, and that was something the Beast Charmer wanted to avoid at all cost.
Pulling out his whip, Nuri softly signaled for Naraka to stay put, before moving forward toward the tree in question. He could see the nest, as well as a small form poking out, but it seemed there was only one. Maybe the report had been incorrect, and others had spoken out of fear or stress.
As if fate had determined to taunt him, at that precise moment a loud cry shook the air above, and the Beast Charmer looked up with wide eyes to see the other Zore just as it darted down to strike him. Grunting, Nuri rolled to the right and set to crack his whip just as he had been trained. The sound sung in the air as the Zore flew away, yet it rounded in the air and swiped down to strike again.
Again and again, Nuri used his whip to strike the air after the Zore passed, but it seemed little was working. Suddenly, Nuri got the idea, and on the next pass he sent the whip out before the Zore passed to fill the air with the crack. The bird swerved away, letting out another cry before racing off toward some leafless trees in the distance.
One down, one to go.
As Nuri moved toward the tree, he signaled for Naraka to get up. Hopefully the presence of the Janarim would frighten the mother, as it didn't seem as aggressive. In fact, it only took a few moments of coaxing and noise before the bird got up and flew off, leaving Nuri with a triumphant smirk as he moved to the tree. Climbing slowly up, he attempted to peer into the nest to see if anything was inside.
When he finally reached the top, his shoulders dropped and he shook his head at his luck - the nest was empty.
It was a shame, but Nuri knew he had to remove the nest from the tree. When he would return to the palace, odds were some other Obans would come and cut down it anyway. At least he could try and relocate the nest. Even if he did so, he knew it would be very unlikely the Zore would use it, but he had to try. Jumping down from the tree with the large nest in his hands, Nuri nodded to Naraka with a pleased smile, before turning and heading to the trees off the path.
He would make sure to do by the Zore, and then he would return back to Sulburi to let his peers know.
