Slowly, his vision cleared and he noticed something in the speck of light at the far end of the darkness. Somehow, he understand that those doors are the only way to get out of here. But-
He can't move. There's no ground to step here, and his Wings does not do anything.
How can he advance to the doors?
Something flashed before him. Is it...a bubble?
Yes, it is. It was the very same memory bubble from the spirit lakes (+5 Blue).
He wondered if the sprites is okay. As he popped the bubble, a familiar sound of something trampling the ground emerged from the darkness surrounding him. Without warning, something grabbed his tabard and lifted Rei without effort. Raimei? How...?
The tamed shadow beast just growled lightly and walked calmly, the Blue Knight looked around; they are advancing to the doors. He popped another bubble as they walked, and suddenly Raimei is gone. No, everything was gone.
He was standing in the middle of charred remains of a village. The nauseating smell of burned fat and blood assails his nostrils. Before he joined into the Knights he didn't know what death smells like, so the young 'him' dismisses that stench as proof of spreading Taint.
He looked downwards and found a little boy, bleeding from one eye and bruised all over, clenching the still-hot bronze blade remaining from a burned scythe.
All turned to black again, and he returned to the crevice. The distance to the doors lessened more.
So, using his memories-? (+5 Blue, total 10 Blue 0 Black)
It seems that the memories could only take him each so far. Hrmm. Using his hand, he popped another memory bubble floating nearby...oh. It was from the time he obeyed and got thrown into cell...
-no. It's not his'. He can feel something entwining around his body, even without form. It was cold, suffocating and hard. As he struggled, he can feel pain from the invisible thing scraping against his skin. Was this...a chain? Whose memories is this? He blinked, as he somehow sees the figure of a radiant dragon, whose scales are bathed in twilight, being chained far below the surface. The lone howling of the dragon somehow made his eyes water...why?(+5 Black Memories, total 10 Blue 5 Black)
Within a few moments, the crushing- bounding feeling slowly lessened, and in the end he can move freely again. He noticed there's another memory bubble passing by, so he reluctantly touched that.
A figure stands before him. Lancelot. The darkness around him blurs and somehow, he stands in the middle of a scene. A familiar village, familiar faces.
And in the middle of that, a far younger Lancelot defending some little boy from a Shadow Warg. Is that boy...him? Somehow, feeling of respect that has sealed emerged from inside of his heart.
It's not because of Leeroy getting a new sword that makes him interested to be a knight. And protecting his village is not only the reason he wanted it.
He simply wanted to repay the deed Lancelot done to him. (+5 Blue, total 15 Blue and 5 Black)
-but not by murdering him!
He clenched both of his fist in pain, suppressing the anger. Just wait, Merlin.
The distance to the doors has lessened much from the start, but there is still much distance until he can reach the knob. Anyway, it seems he's nearer to the blue door than the black door.
Oh, another memory bubble. As it popped, the gem-less Shoulders are now intact again. (Blue= 20, Black = 5)
Too bad, it'll probably broken again as soon as he exited this place--for the gems probably buried beneath the Royal Armorer; or what's left from it. He absentmindedly asked to the gems: "Will I die in process of killing Merlin?"
But the gems didn't lit. Instead, the surrounding darkness overwhelms him and-
He can see Raimei's body, full of wounds. From each tear in the creature, darkness seeps out. In his left was broken pieces of metal...no way, Shinonome?
And before him was...
"Ar-" *STAB*
"HAH!"
Once again, he awakens inside the unending darkness. The blue door was just inches before him, one more memory should suffice...
A memory bubble sprouted from his Tainted left eye. How? Anyway, he popped it.
It was the memory of his training. (25 Blue, 5 Black) The heavy, bronze scythe almost never left his hand during the day, neither in the night when he did maintenance and practice. The blades was made from his father's, scythe, and the wood from the tree which he planted before he left the destroyed village.
He finally arrived at the blue door.
