Gift
There is an intense white burn in his core, as though someone has put too much dead brush on an already burning fire. It cracks and hisses with each thought, the butterfly on his hand seeming to pulsate with the rhythm of the beating flames.
Alexei's mind conjures Merlin's hooded face, and the flames soar even higher. He realizes why this hatred is inside him, and he snarls. The Sidhe Queen's mark is not just a decorative curse, a bringer of nightmares.
This is not his hatred, but he will accept it and use it as the gift giver intended it. .

Revere
There is anger, murderous, but not from Alexei. It is towards Alexei, a very targeted anger, a vengeful sort of anger that drips from a sword like thick blood and ichor.
But this memory is not about Alexei, nor does it come from him. Brienne sees the Sidhe Queen in the court, regal and full of power in every small breath, every gesture she makes. Her eyes make nations fall, her lips command the air around them.
Brienne would always do as the Queen ordered, would follow her to the ends of the earth and back. She loved her Queen, and was and would always be in awe of the woman.

Siezed
She is screaming. Spitting, flailing, striking out and swearing. She will not simply give in like some defeated pup; she did not fight so hard and so tirelessly just for this.
They put the shackles on her wrists first, earning furious kicks and wretched screams. Her throat is already raw and bleeding, but she will not be silenced. This cannot be the end, no matter the pain, no matter the heavy weights put around her ankles.
She is suspended and unable to fight, but she continues to scream, to defy. This cannot be the way it ends; this will not be the way it ends.
Even as she is contorted, even as her tall and proud form is twisted in physically impossible ways, her transparent body writhes and she screams until she has no mouth.

Gnaw
TThere is a grassy knoll clothed in emeral, and on that knoll is a gnarled tree. Under the tree is an oaken chest, and in the chest what appears to be a silver armlet. Alexei touches it with reverent caution.
He lies on stone ramparts stained red and black, a bruised arm laying across his chest. There is no life left in his grey eyes, and blood continues to dribble from the hole in his side where the teeth of the great dragon had ripped tissue from bone with no warning.
The armlet was put back into the chest and forgotten.

Faithful
She came into the world fighting, scraping against the elements and the disgusting others. The ones that tore and scratched at the belly of the world, that wanted nothing more than to see the world burn. Fighting was all she had known; fighting for lands, for power, for herself and for her Queen. She'd pledged herself to the Queen of the Sidhe the moment she had first made her way to court. The Matriarch had saved her from becoming just another wandering shadow, another creature on a course to their death.
She chose to go to the war with her Queen, to protect and shield her. This was not her duty; this was her choice.

Mentor
He is fussing around with a bit of cloth and a bottle of clear alcohol, trying desperately to clear an infection from the gash in the soldier's leg. It doesn't seem to be working, the patient he's treating isn't responding at all. There should be a burning, some sort of pain to indicate the infection was being killed by the spirit. Why is there nothing? Why is he failing this, why can he not clean a simple wound, why-
A gentler hand takes his arm, and makes him feel the weight of the bottle. It is empty; Alexei has picked up an empty bottle in panic. Gawain gives him a full one, and leaves..
