User ImageBored. Bored, bored. Bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.

Bored.

Lalita let out a groan that would startle anyone around him. He never made such noises; not anything of disgust or uncomfortableness. He was always so chipper and excitable; always willing to bring a smile to anyone else in the area. But today? Right now? Bored. All the Sisters seemed to be out and about doing god knows what. He didn't care; wasn't his business. But it didn't mean he wasn't bored out of his mind; and with nothing to do, a stallion's mind started to wonder. Maybe he could wander around outside the Whistler area... Would he get in trouble if caught? He could always lie and say he was called by a Sister to join her in her nest. But then what if the Sister noticed the lie early on because she knew where Sister number two was? Ah, well. He didn't have to lie. He was bored. Unamused. Growing gray in his time of need! ... Okay, that was a little much, but he had nothing to do and for this young stallion, that wasn't an option!

The half kirin, half harpy moved forward and out of the Whistler nest area. His icy blue eyes flickered from one area to another, as if searching. There wasn't even a foal in sight... What was going on? Frowning, Lalita's head cocked to the side, his claws tapping on the grass as he pondered where to go from here. What could he do? Usually he followed a Sister to her nest, so it was no problem. But now, he had no idea... He could try and find Kalyana, his brother, but that would probably end in him being ushered away so that the Whistler turned Pet could spend more quality time with Vanwyn. He scoffed slightly at the thought, before shoving it aside to continue moving slowly forward. His tail swayed behind him, feathers seeming to rustle in a light breeze. At least it was a nice day out...

And then he spotted something. Lalita's eyes flickered over her, and then he backtracked. There. A Sister! Lalita grinned practically from ear to ear, his ears perked up. He paused to look over himself, checking his feathers and that his scales were nice and shiny. If he was going in, he was going in primed and proper like. Or, well, as proper as Lalita could manage. His claws tapped for a second longer, before he strut forward, his head held high and eyes bright and happy. He hadnt seen her before; though she could have just never gone toward where the Whistlers were. She was stunning in of herself though! He grinned toward her as he approached, ducking his head in greeting with a grand sweep of his tail. "Good afternoon, M'Lady!" He called all too happily.

All was quiet, and Mitra was enjoying the fact that it was so quiet and no one was bumping into her, failing to notice that she existed. Granted, the harpy loved her Sisters, but because she had different opinions then most of them, she generally kept to herself so as to avoid any arguments. Very rarely did she talk, and many actually considered her to be mute because of how little she spoke. It was a wonder that she even had children of her own that she watched over and checked on from time to time, despite the fact they were all grown adults now. The male that she had them with, has since long escaped from here, and some suspected that she had actually helped him, but since none could prove it, here she remained.

Her talons gently dug into the ground as she pondered what she could work on today. Maybe a quiet walk in the woods, gather some beautiful flowers for a project she was working on, yeah that sounded absolutely wonderful. Nice, quiet, and alone. That was perfect. Then a voice sounded through the air, ruining the moment of perfection. Startled she looked up towards the voice, and was confused when she noticed one of the stallions walking towards her. Her head quickly turned from side to side, green eyes tying to see who it was that this stallion could possibly be talking to, but she was the only one around.

Heart racing from nerves, she dug her talons into the ground to try to keep herself steady as the stallion approached. "Um. Um. Well um. Hi." Mitra barely squeaked out, not entirely sure what to do about the situation.

Lalita watched the mare with interest. He probably was going to be in trouble for not having an escort, but eh, what the hell! Wandering around was fun! And finding other people to converse with was a lot better than just sitting around and collecting dust! He wasn't a dust collector! His tail flicked slightly and he pondered saying an apology for startling her. But what was the point if he wasn't able to live a little? And with Gainesh having disappeared ( not even Lalita could find the owl ) he was even more bored. He found himself laying around and probably getting fat. Which was not allowed. His tail flicked behind him as he pondered that idea, and shuddered. He needed to go for climbs and runs and make sure to get some of the weight off that he may or may not be collecting. He glanced toward the mare once more, having realized he'd wandered off in his own mind and wasn't even really paying attention to her.

How rude.

Lalita plastered his best grin, and tilted his head toward the mare. His peacock feathers seemed to stand up a bit more, as though he was showing off. His claws tapped lightly at the ground before he tilted her head. Was she... shy? Shy? Like... Shy shy? Like uncertain of herself shy? Lalita almost couldn't believe it! Usually the Sisters were so bold and out there and ready to do everything and anything. And this one was so... cute. Soft spoken and just... shy. It was precious. He grinned down at her and tilted his head to the left, and then the right, before dipping his head down lightly toward her, his ears perked up so that he could hear her all the better. She was so fricken cute and it was hard for him not to grin. Hard for him not to want to nuzzle and snuggle the shy little mare.

"Oh my High Mother you are adorable aren't you?" He asked easily. The Whistle Stallion smiled down at her before holding his head up a bit more. His tail flicked lightly behind him, the feathers fanning some, before he lifted a claw and and tilted her head up a bit so he could look at her more easily. If she was going to be shy, he was going to try and be bold. He wouldn't overstep his bounds, but he had to show that it was all right to be... what was the word? Out there? Outgoing? Spontaneous? He grinned some and dropped his clawed leg back to the ground, taking a half step toward her. The chains decorating his scales and white fur made a small noise at the movement. "What's a pretty little thing like you wandering around alone, huh? That can't be right!" He mused softly.

When the stallion's mind disappeared in thought, Mitra was contemplating just backing away and hoping he wouldn't notice. Just, what in the world was she suppose to do? She knew that the stallion was suppose to have an escort, and she didn't see one at all nearby. Perhaps maybe one of her Sisters had sent him on an errand of sorts. Yeah. That had to be it. That certainly had to be it, and he was just trying to be polite to her since she was a harpy and all. Just as she was about to back away, the stallion seemed to have come out of his thoughts and spoke to her.

Her ears seemed to have missed what he said, or heard it wrong, or something, because she could have sworn he called her adorable. Before she had a chance to respond, she felt his talon under her chin, and she was now looking straight at him. Her face quickly started to turn colors from embarrassment. Never has anyone been so forward with her! Before she could stop herself, Mitra let out a small surprised squeal.

The second he removed his talon and took that half step towards her, she scrambled backwards until she had some small distance between them. Though, it was just her luck that she tripped and ended up being sprawled on the ground, just as she stopped scrambling backwards when she had deemed there to be enough space between them. "Ouchies." Glancing over herself before she got back up on all fours, she determined she wasn't to injured, but she could still feel her face was still warm.

"I, um, um, not pretty, and um, um, well, I, um, just, was about to um, go gather, s..s..some, flowers." Her voice barely made it above a whisper as she spoke, looking every other way but at the overly bold stallion. "S..s..so um, I uh, s..should, uh go." She took another step backward, her backend bumping into a tree. Glancing backward, she adjusted herself and slowly kept backing up, watching him, hoping he wouldn't follow and would just go back to the Sister that had sent him out for whatever errand she had assigned him to.

Whatever did she do to deserve this? She kept to herself, she never really spoke so as not to anger her Sisters, and yet now she's got someone talking to her, and worst of all, touching her! Mitra's green eyes continued watching the stallion, watching his every move as she tried to navigate herself away from the situation. Hiding was a much better option.

Lalita generally was a very forward guy. Lalita generally would push the bounds and see how far he could go with people. Lalita usually never backed down. Because Lalita was very confident in who he was, and was very confident in that he could make anyone feel amazing about themselves one way or another. And Lalita always succeeded within seconds of meeting someone, and was able to easily get their attention for the better.

But this wasn’t anything that Lalita was used to, and the stallion didn’t know what to do.

She was scared of him, scared of what he was doing, scared of maybe even who he was. And Lalita was not used to that at all. The stallion’s ears pinned slightly, and he tilted his head to one side, and then the other. His tail slowly stopped it’s swaying, laying flat near his hind legs and his claws dug into the earth. She had backed up from him, to the point that she bumped into a tree. He frowned, pursing his lips somewhat as he tried to figure out just what the hell was going on right now. This was… this was weird. It was weird and awkward and not something that he was used to. What was this? What was he going to do? He never got trained about how to handle shy and unwanting mares…

The whistler blew some of the blond hair from his face when she seemed inclined to leave. He flicked his tail some, and tried to figure something out. He let his claws tap somewhat against the ground, before he dipped his head, staring up toward her. In a way he was showing his own submission, showing that he was under her and that she was in charge. His ears pinned again, and he took a half step back, giving her more space. He pondered backing up more, but still had a few words to say before he actually wandered away so that she could leave to gather her flowers in peace.

”I am sorry, M’Lady… I did not mean to offend or startle or uh… er… over step my bounds. Um… I uh… I hope you have a good trip to get flowers, ma’am.” He mumbled, stumbling over his words. He didn’t usually apologize, let alone for how he acted. Most the sisters liked him, liked his somewhat assertiveness and how he flaunted and fawned. But she seemed to just keep receding with every step. He took another step back, keeping his head low and his ears pinned. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too upset with him. Lalita would hate to have upset or hurt her just because he had his own ways about him that didn’t agree with hers. He needed to get more training in, and hopefully that would help him to where he wasn’t going to overstep his bounds with mares like this one.
