Junjie glanced over in the direction that he'd come from, where the others were at the moment, then ahead again giving a little sigh. He had been practicing untangling the threads of his magic for a while, most of the day, and now he was going to put it into motion. Instead of just sitting around, keeping his magic separated as he had been during practice, he had to now do the same while battling against a Gaili. He just hoped that it was something that he was going to be able to do, fighting a dragon while he was handicapped. His Khehora were allowed to come along, though not to fight alongside him but instead they were supposed to look after him, just in case it was needed.
"Alright, I am going to begin. You two keep your eyes open and I will see what I can do with that Gaili." He said, seeing one of them some distance ahead. He would go after that one, see what he could do with his powers currently separated as they were. In one hand, he had his Aeuduan powers and in the other hand he had his Ysali powers, both of them at the ready. Alright, he could do this, but he had to be careful at it, focusing, but not so hard that it all crumbled apart.
The Sage seemed to understand what he was talking about, seemed to know what it was that Junjie had to do. He would follow the instructions, let his magic flow in manner that was more natural, and perhaps something would shift? At least that was the theory. He hoped that it went accordingly he thought to himself as he gathered more of his 'green' power into his left hand. Once he had enough that he felt ready he sent the power into the ground, allowing it to seek out and gather the old, dry, crusty roots that were buried deep. It took a moment but soon they came bursting forth from the ground, twisting together, and entangled the Gaili that hadn't seen him coming.
"Very good." He murmured to himself, starting forward once more. Alright, now, here would be the hard part he found himself thinking. Every time he entangled a dragon he would follow it up by a blast of his full power, meaning both colors of energy mixed together into a single blast. So now he had to go about... what? Two different blasts? One of each color, not mixed together, something that he had never done before but there was a first time for everything he supposed.
Drawing in a deep breath the hybrid held it for a moment, then lifted his hands up, pointing them both at the struggling dragon and sent the attack forth. Much to his surprise and delight the two blast flew forward in a parallel path, side by side, without mixing together, instead staying side by side. They crashed into the target head on, went right through the Gaili, and the creature crumbled apart into nothing but an orb that fell into the sand. He blinked a couple times before he looked down at his hands, "Huh... wow..." That wasn't something that he thought that he'd see, a dragon taken out by such power from him. It was different from the way that he normally fought, but very effective.
He took a couple steps forward, starting toward the orb, when he heard the two voices of Abellio and Arjan calling out to him to 'duck and cover'. The moment he heard the words Junjie spotted the other Gaili that was diving down at him from the sky. Junjie lifted a hand, sending a flash of blinding light the way of the second Gaili, before rolling out of the way as it crashed into the ground nearby. Too close for comfort but at least the two Khehora had been nearby to warn him before it was too late.

The second Gaili was roaring in anger, flailing about a bit, kicking at the sand, tail lashing, as it tried to regain the vision it had lost temporarily when it was blasted with the golden white light. It wasn't going to stop the dragon, it was just a spell used for debilitation after all. No, he would need to actually finish this one off as he had the other one. Not as though dragons were known for just running away, especially when one picked fights with one of their kind to begin with. Junjie starting the battle against the first Gaili, it left him open to attack by more of them. He would need to deal with this one, gather up the orbs, and then head back to camp. If he knew the Sage, which he felt that he did to at least a point, he was likely waiting and watching at the moment from a distance just his Khehora were.
Knowing that they were all nearby and looking after him made him feel a lot better about what it was that he was doing. It was as though he could do anything so long as they were with him, so long as he wasn't alone. The last thing that he wanted was to be alone after all. Even if he was fighting on his own at least he knew that they were nearby and within reach if he did need them. With that thought in mind he set about gathering more power into his hands once more, watching as the orbs for a moment flickered as though wanting to mix, before he was able to get them behaving once more.
"This is harder then it seems but I think I might be getting the hang of it." He murmured to the pair of Khehora through the bond they shared as he gathered up the necessary power for the spell he was preparing. Once he had enough of it he sent the twin blasts forward, once more concentrating on keeping them from getting too close to each other or mixing... and once more they were able to take out the Gaili fairly easily. It made him really think about him needing something stronger to battle against, at least once he felt that he was ready.
In the world there were only two dragons that he could think of, save for the Celestial one, that were stronger then a Gaili. Aeuduan and Diabi, one of which he had faced before, but that had been with... help. That Khehorian that had dragged him into the battle against a group of the Aeuduan. He didn't need that sort of 'help' again, instead if he were to hunt them he would do so on his own terms.
Walking over to the orbs he scooped them up one after the other, looking them over, before he glanced toward the Khehora who were running his way. Abellio was instantly looking him over, sniffing at him, looking for wounds... and Arjan watched on, just to make sure. Once they were sure he was safe they all three turned and headed for camp.
