Eventide sighed softly as he came in for a landing next to the river. This looked like the region that the Angeni Aurianna had described to him as where his brothers had gone. He had been tracking their trail for so very long, he had begun to wonder if he's ever find them... So he hoped that they had settled here, as he'd been told. He began to walk through the grass that lined the river bank, looking around with interest.
He would not lie. He found his travels here interesting, for they provided him many interesting experiences. It impressed him, for one thing, at how similar and yet how different this land looked from his home. Grass was still grass, but sometimes it tasted different, or was different shades. The trees had different tones, and different leaf shapes... sometimes. And the animals! That first time he'd seen a buffalo, he'd just stopped and stared. So similar to the cows and bulls of home, but so different... And rather more cuddly.
Which reminded him. He looked at his back, checking to make sure his bird companion was still with him. The little bird was nestled on his back, curled up in a 'pillow' made of Even's mane. Even smiled, and turned back to his explorations, trying to find a sign of Soquili life.

Jase watched the stranger land from his shady perch by the waterfall. This was one of his favourite places to rest and think. High enough to see over the trees, but covered so the sun didn't hit him directly.
He gazed down at the figure by the river. A set of angeni wings, suti horns, spikes, and scales... And that impressive tail. The traits seemed all too familiar. But it couldn't be, could it? Chroma would have mentioned if there had been another relative nearby? Wouldn't he have? Jase glanced back over his shoulder to check if he was still alone. Of course, Chroma hadn't mentioned the existence of Stargazer.
He sighed, then shook his head. It wasn't impossible that an individual could remind him of his friends without being related after all. What was the boy doing here though?

After a long moment of contemplation, and reviewing what Aurianna had told him, he turned to follow the river, in the opposite direction from the sea. She'd mentioned they stayed closer to some hot springs, and those were likely up in the mountains here. "Well, Birdlet, let's see what you and I can find, hmmm?" He said, aloud, to his half hidden companion. "Worst case scenario is I misunderstood the directions, and we're lost. At least it'd be a lovely place to be lost!" He admired the waterfall, and the trees around him, enjoying the natural beauty.
"I do like it here, in these lands. I can see why there are so many who come here." He added, out loud. The bird lifted it's head, made a peeping noise, like it was saying 'I'M TRYING TO NAP, SHUT IT!', which caused Even to burst out laughing. "Ahhhhh, Birdlet, you never cease to provide me with great amusement."

Jase couldn't help but chuckle to himself as the little bird peeped and squawked at it's companion. There were some concepts that transcended language barriers. He stood up, then took a step out of the foliage. Technically this was his territory... and technically it fell on him to greet or defend depending on what was needed.
"Hello there, stranger! You're on White Leaf lands. Welcome!"

Even's head whipped around, and the little bird made a LOUD "SQUEEEEAUUUUUUUK" noise in surprise. He stared at the large, grey warhorse that had come out to greet him, blinking quite a bit. As the unknown spoke, Even's brows came together, and then suddenly he beamed. "OH good! I didn't get lost, this is wonderful news!" He did a pleased side step, side step, slight slide, glad he hadn't gotten himself lost. "I found what I was looking for. FINALLY."
He then turned that beaming expression on the other stallion, his purple eyes glittering in his happiness. "My name is Eventide! I have come, seeking the White Leaf, as I was told I might find my twin and my elder brother here. I have... come a great distance to find them, and it has been a long time since last I saw them." He paused, and considered the other, wondering if he should mention their names. After all, the other told him he was in the right place, but... he didn't identify himself, or state that he was OF the White Leaf.

A twin and an elder brother? Well then! He looked over Eventide again... That flank was certainly familiar. Must run in the family.
"Chromatos and Stargazer are back at the main camp. You must be tired. Come back and I'll brew a batch of tea for you while we wait for them," he turned away, gesturing for Eventide to follow. "My name is Jase. The White Leaf is my herd."

"Ah? Yes! That is, indeed, who I seek. And Jase... Jase... Yes, the Lady Aurianna did mention you to me." He peered over at the other fellow. "Something about incorrigible, too." He couldn't resist teasing the other a tad, for the tone of amused motherliness Aurianna had used when calling him that had made Even both curious and amused himself.
"And I would most certainly appreciate the tea... It has been far too long since I have had some. Thank you."

Jase's ear flicked back. If this kid was anything like his older brother then there was some fun to be had here.
"Don't mention it. Tea is our speciality! In fact, it was Chromatos that taught us the technique for drying and brewing it," as he finished this line he glanced back over his shoulder. "Say, incorrigible. What does that mean? Is that one of your fancy foreign words?"

"I should have known. My brother could never give up tea for long." Even's tone was full of fondness, and he smiled wistfully, remembering having tea with his brother when he and Star were small... Before everything... "And since he's so intimately involved" there was absolutely no innuendo on that phrasing, despite it sounding like it should have such "I am sure he insists on quality checks all the time. He always was picky about his teas."
He glanced at Jase, at that question. "Well let's consider that Aurianna is hardly a foreign lass, the Lady isn't. And not at all. Incorrigible is a perfectly good word of the tongue you and I both seem to speak just fine. It means a person, or someone's tendencies, that are not able to be corrected, improved, or reformed. I admit to some curiosity about what she felt was incorrigible, in regards to you and how you act. You seem just fine to me, but we HAVE just met."

He smirked, looking back over his shoulder in a way that suggested that Eventide's reaction had been entirely expected, maybe even planned.
"Guess where you're form folks never paraphrase. Yup, your a brother of Chro's alright," he'd half expected the boy to be more like Stargazer. Now though, it was fairly clear that Stargazer was the exception in this family. "So, what kind of tea do you fancy? We don't have too many varieties yet but I'll see what I can do."
Already a few shelters and tents could be seen through the trees. They hadn't been far off to begin with!

Even's brow raised at that reaction, and he looked thoughtful for the moment. "Hmmmm I see..." He murmurs, in a way that makes it clear he wasn't really aware he spoke out loud.
He blinks, then, and refocuses on Jase. "Mmm? Favorite...? Oh something light, possibly herbal. Mint perhaps? Or a floral note would be nice. I only like a dark, brisk brew in the morning." He nods slowly, noting the signs of getting close to where the herd resided. "But if those aren't an option, whatever you have would be lovely." He tilted his head, and gave Jase a winsome smile.

"Mint it is," the camp ground was quiet. Everyone seemed to be away, which was very unusual. Most of the time there would be at least a few individuals going about their business or taking a rest. "Quiet. They must have found something interesting..."
He shrugged then ducked into a nearby tent, "Just wait there for a moment!"

Not one to argue with a chance to sit down, Even did. In fact, he sat rather like a dog, lowering his back legs to the ground and keeping his front straight. This earned a SERIOUS squawking, as the birdlet had to suddenly scramble to perch, precariously, on Even's shoulder. "Sorry, Birdlet. I just needed to sit. It's been a long trip, after all."
He looked around, curiously, at this encampment, wondering if this was the permanent set up, or would these tents become more solid as time went on?
