Cor Caroli had gotten off his butt to patrol again today. He had already moved home from the University, which meant that while life was cozy and pleasant, it was also very boring. Boredom was a prime reason to go out and patrol, and since he spent a lot of his time wandering around with friends anyway, his parents didn't suspect a thing.

Things were pretty hum-drum, and at this point he was basically walking off pent-up energy. Then he felt an aura from somewhere above. Above? How could someone get up there? It felt like there was a basic senshi around somewhere (how he knew was still surprising to him), but the direction was puzzling. After some wandering around while looking up, he spotted the other senshi on her perch. "Hey, how'd you get up there?"

"Wait, you jumped?" That meant some serious acrobatics, at least as Cor Caroli saw it. When he saw her jump to another building, he goggled. Was that another Senshi Strength perk? That wasn't his primary focus shortly after, however. Something seemed to be wrong with this senshi. Maybe she was wounded, or perhaps really shy? When Elpis got closer, he saw that nasty cut on her face. Yep, wounded. "Mess up somewhere?" he asked, not quite sure what there was to mess up. "I don't know, did you? And, uh, are you okay? As okay as you can be, I mean." He didn't want to call too much attention to the wound on her face. Maybe there was something more going on.

"No?" It seemed like a strange conclusion to leap to. "How would you being up there be messing up?" Cor Caroli listened to what the other senshi told him, and he was puzzled further at her reaction. "A Negaverse senshi came away worse...? Isn't that what you're supposed to do? Hey, if you beat up a Negaverse anyone, you're one step ahead of me." With a slight smile, he put a hand on Elpis's shoulder. "I'm always the one who gets beat up. You should have seen this one guy, he kept going on who kept going on about how he could get any man or lady he wanted, and when I told him he lacked finesse, he came at me. The bruise on my side took a while to heal." He paused, then added, "I'm Cor Caroli. What about you?"

"Elpis? Nice to meet you, Elpis." Cor Caroli gave Elpis's shoulder a pat and tried to piece together what she was saying. "So you feel bad because you attacked a weaker senshi, and you lost your temper? Eh, it happens. Especially when they're trying to get you riled up. I bet this Corrupt Senshi was a real piece of work." The suggestion of a group beating for the cocky Nega got a chuckle out of him. "He did something to a girl that sent her running out of an alley, and I said that he had no finesse if he did things that made girls run away from him. He got all offended about it and was like 'I can get whoever I want.' If I see him again, I'll have to ask if his skills have improved at all." He nodded sympathetically. "Don't worry about rambling. I think it's healthy. It sounds good that you leave talking open first. I know I do, even if it ends up with me getting punched."

"Yeah, definitely. The ones who think they can get whoever they want whenever they want are the worst. And besides, he was wrong. He didn't get me!" Cor Caroli grinned mischievously. "Heck, even I know I can't get 'em all, and I- well." He stopped himself from saying 'I get a lot,' because not only would that sound like bragging, but it was probably a huge TMI. "Anyway, I come here sometimes. Trying to see if there are any good restaurants around. I haven't really found anything interesting yet." Finding restaurants was probably a misuse of patrol time, but he kind of didn't care.

Cor Caroli chuckled. "Indeed I do. Even I'm not desperate enough to just go for anyone." That was a bit of an untruth; sometimes he would occasionally wind up with people that he figured he should have thought twice about. "Rich food sounds like it would be nice if I could figure out what half of it was. There really is nothing like the basics sometimes, you know? I'll have to check out this Hubert's at some point." Burger places weren't always ideal for dates, but they would suffice in a pinch, or if his partner for the day was into something simpler. "I like taking people out to eat. Good food just puts people in a good mood. Nothing like good food and good company."

Ah, so she had a boyfriend. That was good; it removed some of the potential problems that could have arisen. Friends were fine, always. Cor Caroli just kept grinning mischievously as Elpis gushed about the restaurant. "I'm always hungry. You wanna go now? If you're okay with powering down in front of me, I mean." Identity considerations were still ones he had to consciously think of; the rule of identity protection hadn't quite ingrained itself in him yet.
