It was mid morning and Israel had found herself wandering around the campus lawns without really paying any attention to where she was going. Without realizing it, she had made her way to the gazebo where she and Sora had first kissed. Pausing for a moment at the bottom of the stairs, she watched the swing swaying gently in the breeze, remembering. Sighing a bit heavily, she walked up the stairs to plop gracelessly into the swing, pushing herself gently with her toe to set it to swinging. She knew what she had done was the right thing to do, she just wished it hadn't hurt so much.

Xel had been walking up the bath, hands stuffed in pockets as he thought of his life up until now. His brother was currently prowling the streets of Japan some where and would return to Aquila later that night. He had a lot going on right now, mostly keeping Aine safe from him. Sighing he continued his jaunt only looking up when the wind began to blow, caressing his honey brown tresses.
Placing his hand on the side of his head to sheild from the wind he managed to see a lone figure sitting in a tree. With a sudden quirk of his brow he walked over and realized by her hair who it was.
Walking up behind her he said nothing removing his hands from his pocket he reached out taking the swings chain he brought her off the ground a bit and into his chest. "Isis..." he said softly in her ear. "Does it really have to be like this?" He asked smoothly before letting her loose.

Israel jumped when she was suddenly pulled back, and glanced back over her shoulder as Xel began to speak. He let her go and she jumped out of the swing with a little hop. Running her hands through her hair, she slowly turned halfway to face him with a small glare in her eyes.
"It's what you wanted Xel. Remember?" she said softly, then turned to start walking away.

"I guess so." He said softly not making any moves toward her. "Is it what you want?" He asked looking over shoulders with those deep violet orbs. "Cause that's why I did it." He confessed.

The sadness in his voice made her stop. She willed herself to keep walking, but her feet wouldn't move. Sighing, she slowly turned again, but made no move to step closer to him.
"It doesn't really matter anymore. It just hurt that you casted me aside so easily," she said softly, looking down at the ground by her feet. But then the 'what ifs' that had been plaguing her flooded to the surface, and she could feel her temper rising again.
"What if we had had sex, Xel? What if we had and then you decided that Sora was too precious for you to lose? Where would that have left me?" she demanded, turning her angry green eyes up to his.

Xel remaind solemn, walking up to her to stare her down a moment. Ghost like hands brushed her cheek lightly as he spoke, "I wouldn't have allowed it to happen. If I go all the way then I'm here to stay Isis. I thought you would have understood that." He said searching her eyes. "Sora, I care for him dearly and don't want to hurt him. Then you came into the equation, I didn't mean to hurt you, I was only doing what you were so willing to do that night before I threw a tantrum." He smiled a bit at it but the smile waivered and fell. Looking straight through her to her soul. "Isis, if you really want this to end, if you don't want to see me anymore than it will be as you wish. But if any part of you yerns for my touch, for our lips to be united again then please don't torture yourself. I'll talk to Sora, I'll figure something out...something..." he spoke softly still caressing her cheeks and waiting for an answer. Hopeful.

"Don't bother with Sora," she said a bit darkly, her heart aching. "It's over between us. And you know what? It's over between you and me too. Everything that happened was a mistake. From the moment Sora kissed me till now, it was all one huge 'Issie Sophronia ******** up'. So it doesn't matter what I want from you Xel," she said emotionally.

Xel's eyes finally took fire as they darkened. "You did what?!" he demanded over her taking her in hand by her arms. "Why? Why would you do that? For what?" He asked over again. None of this was making sense, he didn't mean for it all to get out of control. He just wanted Sora and Isis happy but it seemed he'd screwed up and gotten between them on his own selfish means.
Crushing the poor girl to him he held her there, tightly gripping her. "Isis..this isn't your fault. I never should have come back. It all went wrong when I returned." he said and was genuinely feeling this was his fault. "And it does matter what you want. If I can give it to you then let me?" he said finally a little softer. He knew she was mad, he knew she might push away from him but he had to touch her, to taste her even for little bit. He dipped his head down to claim her lips again, still the fire in him and desire for her burned. Even with him pissed at his self for all this he still yerned for her near by. "Why Isis? Why? Why leave him, I was going to do it, I would have left...so you both would be happy."

Israel pushed him roughly away and slapped him as hard as she could across his face, then reached up to wipe her lips off with the back of her hand.
"I've told you before, and this is the last time. Don't do that again. What I do with Sora is my business and I don't think that I need to explain myself to you about what I choose to do. You want to know what you can give me? My life back," she said angrily, trying hard to forget the feel of his lips that had been so recently planted against hers. Quickly she turned and started to hurry down the path back towards the school.

Now the girl should know that Xel was not one to give up so easily, dispite being slapped and roughly pushed away he felt her react. He could tell in little ways, perhaps a sigh she hadn't know she allowed to escape. Maybe she pressed against him for a instant before pushing back. Or the fact she may have licked her lips behind the action of wiping away that kiss.
He stood there a moment looking as pitful as he could, but then his anger rose and he clenched his fists at his sides and bore into her from behind. The only reason she was angry was of him...or... he eyed her a moment and then stalked closer, almost chasing her at a mad dash. "Isis!" He called catching up to her swiftly enough before twirling her around to face him.
He only looked at her a moment trying to control himself before things got too out of hand. Then she looked at him, "You want me to let him go? Do you want me to leave Aquila and never come back? Cause if I do that would you really be happy?" It was something about her anger that confused him. She was angry over something he didn't understand... "Please tell what to do? I can't just let you run away from me, I want us to be friends.. I just want us...I want you." He said finally realizing just what he meant. He let her go abruptly stepping back and looking to her in a strange way.
"I want you?" He questioned and suddenly everything made sense. He turned in shock his face red with embarassed realization as he dashed down the walk way and into a thicket of trees and shrubbs.

Israel spun around when he grabbed her, ready to hit him again. Her raised hand slowly started to droop at his pleading questions and her glare barely softened at his admission. She watched him run off and took a deep breath. She started to turn back to the school, but stopped. She at least owed him some straight answers, especially after his sudden epiphany. Slowly, she chased after him and slipped through some thick shrubs she had seen him disappear through.

On the other side, would bring a small clearing and almost instantly a beautiful row of roses, lilies and carnations. More flowers would stretche the small area and at the end was an alcove for vegetation and herbs. Behind that still was a small clearing of grass delicately decorated with petals from the cherry blossom over head. In all instances no one would ever know this was here simply by the shrubs and the thicket of trees alone.
Xel was standing under the cherry tree holding out his hand to let the blossoms fall in his hands. It was as if the tree were crying for him while he stood leaned up against it. The wind blew playing with his hair, which gave off an alluring sight for the girl who would enter.
He hadn't noticed her there for a long while until a crack from a twig brought him out of his thoughts. When he turned smoldering violet eyes would turn to acknowledge her. Pushing off the tree, Xel reached out a hand as if to beacon her to his arms, no words were passed. If she accepted he'd do something about all of this, if not then it was over, no need for apologize or the like. It would simply seece to be.

Israel paused at the sight before her. She thought she had been to every garden on campus. But this one was so small, and the flowers were different than that of the rest of the landscaping. Taking it all in, Issie started to slowly move forward when she noticed Xel leaning against the trunk of a cherry tree. He looked.... soft. Glancing down at a rose bush as she passed, the sound of a twig breaking under her foot made her jump and look back over at Xel. When he reached out a hand to her, Israel stepped closer, but did not reach out to him.
"Xel... you didn't ruin anything between Sora and I. I liked him a lot... maybe even loved him, but if I'm to be completely honest... the thought of him with other people bothered me. I don't want you to leave either Sora or Aquila, especially if both make you happy. But what I do want... is some time... To think. I can't do that with you near me. It's almost impossible. Can I at least have that?" she asked softly, looking up hopefully into his violet eyes.

Xel dropped his hand that was reached out to her, it was a half stance that she gave him. It was better than nothing in his mind. But as she spoke his hope was slowly dwindling. He could see she had to think, he knew she would want to explore her options and why shouldn't she? She had been so blindly caught between two people that had a very strong presence.
Patience wasn't his strongest suit, he knew this. And so it took every thing he had to accept her wishes. "As you wish..." he said softly turning away from her to look up at the tree. "This is my garden. My very secret spot...I set up all these flowers and vegetation. I wish I could say I had a doing in this tree," He smiled over his shoulder to her, "...but I did not." It was an easy topic something he loved. Gardening, it was a softer side, more calm and serene.

Israel listened to him, forcing herself to remain cold to his words. She knew that if she didn't, they would be right where they had left off last time. When he leaned down to kiss her, she placed a hand on his shoulder and kissed him back softly. When he finished, she looked away, unwilling to look into his eyes. When he spoke again, she did finally look up.
"Yes," she nodded, observing the change in him. This was a Xel she could like. But he was a rollercoaster of emotion, and she needed the time to sort out if she would be strong enough to handle him. She looked around one more time and took a step back.
