Noemi had wanted to come with him for the rest of his journey quests to the mountain tops but in the end, Milo decided to slip away on his own. He felt it more noble to complete the last leg on his own merits and not be carried - not that he minded Noemi helping him. Once he had gathered where the group of knights were preparing to go, he turned his horse elsewhere towards the familiar mountain range that housed the great artifacts of the Great King.
Thankfully there was still ample food supply for him to borrow for the journey.

He had only managed to travel from Camelot itself a few times before they were moved to the lakeside. It had grown to be a more familiar path, but the terrain from the castle seemed easy enough to navigate upon. Or so he thought before he spoke too soon, misjudging the ground beneath him and his horse and causing her to lose her footing so close to the edge... as he did several times before.
"I'm sorry girl," he apologized, running a gloved hand over her soft neck muscles to calm her nerves. Far too many of this sort of mistake, soon the horses won't trust him for nearly making them fall to their deaths over some silly clothing. "Just lost a bit of food is all, like always." It seemed like a more logical place to stop and get his barrings, Milo supposed once he got into the forest. Sure there was the potential of spider encounters, but at least the ground was a little more even and a place for the horse to graze and calm herself further. The blue knight gave her another pat as he disembarked from the saddle and carefully rifled through his bags to see how much he had lost. Which wasn't too much really, a few rolls of bread and a piece of cheese. Could have been worse.
"We should get going again, this labyrinth isn't going to get itself out," he grinned to the horse, who simply just flicked her ears at the noise he was making.
Traveling again through the forest maze seemed oddly relaxing this time around, perhaps due to not having gone so many days prior. It was almost a little two peaceful and the only oddity he encountered was a satchel of food laying on the side of the road. How odd. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 44/37 YOUR HP: 50/50

From the forest into the mountain itself seemed without event as well. If Milo had been one of a more pessimistic mind (ie, Maple), he might have taken it as an ill omen of things to come. Bad tidings in the time of too much good. But the blue knight simply took it as a true sign of luck and perhaps his determination of making it off the mountain unscathed for once.
Past the small mound of unfortunate bodies - which he nodded to in respect of their lives - Milo ended up finding yet another crate of left over food. As no one else seemed like they would be using it, he took it along with him. Yes, somehow Milo had made it safely even to the summit itself. Horse and all and a slightly larger load of food along with him. Not bad, read his face as he look to the skies for possible eagles that might have wanted to strike. But none seemed to come.
Shrugging, the brunet once again pulled himself off his horse with a small pat to her side. "I shall be right back," he told her and made his way to where his final piece awaited him. Gently, he picked up his find, beautiful iridescent wings lined with a golden color. Wings of his very own to soar the skies with his fair lady Noemi.

Noemi was anxious and worried about the knight. She had saved him the trouble of climbing mountains with two of his armor pieces and assumed that she could it again, even preparing herself for the flight by grabbing a chair so she could stand on it and have easier access to lifting him. They were camped outside of the darkened black castle now and thus, instead of welcoming him to a bright green relaxing glen, it would be to rugged tents. She paced outside their tent, looking to skies and to the trail to the mountain.... Perhaps she should just....fly over to make sure he was okay... chirigami measly phone tag eeeeee congrats milo on your wingsssss

Milo had remained on the mountain for longer than he had expected. It probably would have been a more ideal location to put on his new attire down on the ground where it was more level and a little less cold but perhaps he was simply too excited. It also gave him an opportune moment to be just a little bit closer to the sky in his first attempt at flight.
Which was a little more like hovering really once he got his armor adjusted to his liking with the new wings. "Aha ~ interesting," he beamed, spinning slightly because.. well, he could now.
- huh, there seemed to be something coming closer.

Noemi was just gonna check on him, Make sure he was okay, just to make sure he was okay. She was just gonna check. Just....just gonna check.
She hummed and flew in a circle and got it in her head that perhaps Milo was in TROUBLE.
She started to flap her wings faster, zooming past Milo.
what....

At first he wondered if were a bird, or perhaps one of the eagles that usually liked to make its rounds upon the mountain top. But as the figure grew closer he realized it was much too large for those avian types. It was also much too human in shape and utterly and completely familiar.
"Lady Noemi!" He called out to her cheerfully. And then she went right past him.

If there was a cartoon sound to be made in air, it would be a skid in air, the stop and then a veer around.
"Milo!" She rushed over to him in the air, "Are you hurt, are you okay?" She checked his face, his arms, his legs, Everything. He didn't seemed to banged up.
Then she stared at his wings, bright and golden and she smiled.
"You got your wings!"

He didn't move, simply hovered in his spot and allowed her to process what was going on. And simply laughed as she fretted over him, checking everywhere for a possible wound.
"Haha, yes! I did get them. The journey up here was surprisingly very tame, all I managed to do was obtain more food for our supplies." Well, and his wings, which he showed off like a proud peacock. "Now we can share the air together."
