User Image It was a beautiful day! The sun was high in the sky, shining down upon the earth; and if it had to have an expression, it would be one of joy and happiness. It wasn't too hot, mostly because there was a light breeze blowing through that made the leaves rustle and the grass and flowers dance. It was perfect. Not cloudy, no rain in sight. Creatures and critters were out running around and playing. Summer was officially here, and it was a glorious, amazing time of year! And even though one teal colored mare was wandering around alone, she was excited all the same. Her tail swayed slowly behind her, the feathers splayed somewhat so the eye at the end could peer around and admire the flowers and grass. She could see without looking and it was wonderful!

Matlalihuitl was excited to be alive. She was so happy and so willing to run around and play and ask how the little rabbits were doing. But she was a mare on a mission! She had a goal and she could do it, right? Right! The little pony grinned some as she trotted through a forest, before coming out into an open area. Years ago, she had met a small colt around this area. His fur was as blue as the sky and his hair soft like the grass. He even had small little wings on his back! They had talked for hours about his wings and her tail, admiring and giggling about how they worked. She remembered laying in the grass and staring at the sky, pointing with small hooves at shapes and giggling whenever one resembled something silly like a fish or a berry. Shaking her head out, long mane falling away from her face, she paused to stare up at the sky. Yea, yea this was the spot. She smiled happily, before pausing in her trotting to look around.

For several years, she had been looking for that little cold ( who was probably a stallion now, of course ) since she was old enough to leave her mom's side. And during that time, she'd made a small gift for him. She loved him, adored him really. Even though she didn't know him now, she wanted to! She wanted to be able to lay on her back and peer up at the clouds or the stars with him, and travel the world, and find berries, and giggle and run around and act like fools in love. So she carried a small red piece of cloth with her, with stitches made from a raccoon ( who she bribed with some juicy food ), to sew letters and shapes into it. So now she just had to find him and give him her gift and tell her how much she wanted to be in his life.

If she could find him, that is.

User Image A glorious day to paint, but some part of Lin didn't wish to paint. He had no muse today, and yet.. It was beautiful outside and yet the muse did not talk to him. With a sigh he moved towards the field that his father took him when he was old enough to be away from his mother. An odd relationship Tyrael had with his possible lady friend.

Walking near the lands the same memories came to as his odd red hooves stomped in stride on the ground. His nymph tail bobbed against his thighs as it had drooped from the lack of muse and sparking of memories with the young femme. She reminded him of a fish in colouration, in patterns like a moth and with feathers like a harpy. Her long strong tail with it's shy eye. He would at times see it peaking at him and then abruptly shutting as the tail realized what Lin was doing.

He looked up as he walked through the field, enjoying the colours of summer and little dandelions that moved along the taller grasses. Usually his muse loved this place but it stood solemn. Maybe a possible echo of wanting to leave this place to memory. Tyrael had wanted to move on and let his son travel or do what his soul wanted. A sigh escaped feeling alone, how one eventful time in his life had made him think of Matlalihuitl each time and smile at the memory of the spunky little filly. Her voice and worlds and fun and presence moved through his body.

He could almost feel her approach. Though unaware all in the same.

The day was once a beautiful one; filled with prospect and hope. And now Matlalihuitl found herself disappointed. She didn't see him, he wasn't there; wasn't anywhere. she was alone in this field of past thoughts and future dreams. And it was all crashing down upon her more quickly than she thought. Her ears pinned for a moment, and she glanced down along her hooves as she walked quietly. Well, yea... her day was blown now. She tossed her head, getting bangs from her eyes and clearing her vision. What was the point? If he wasn't here, why should she be? Matlalihuitl shook her head some, dropping it down. There was no point in wandering the field that she'd grown up near if he wasn't here.

And then her third eye, the one on her tail, saw something move. On it's own, the tail shifted to lift up some and peer curiously through the forest, before she felt an involentary tug at her rump. Matlalihuitl tilted her head to stare at her tail, which seemed to be staring in a general direction. Her head cocked, before she turned to face where her tail was staring off at. She squinted for a moment, before taking a half step forward. Her earas perked up, and she had to rear up on her hind legs to get a better sight of what was ahead. When she saw it, her heart seemed to thump harder in her chest. Seemed her day was turning around!

He was there, he was there and it appeared that he was looking for someone. She gulped thickly, her tail staring over her shoulder toward where the stallion was wondering. Matlalihuitl couldn't believe she was here, and he was there, and they were so close. Her eyes felt like they were stinging with tears that she would not let fall. No. No crying. That was silly! There was no need to cry when she was this excited and happy. She took a shuddering breath in to calm herself, before shaking out her form. Should she preen her feathers some? Perhaps make sure she looked more appealing? But if he was there, that meant he was looking for her too, right? Surely! Her face broke out in a great big grin, and she started forward, resisting the ruge to gallop to meet him. No, contain yourself, calm. Stay calm. He won't want some hyper mare acting like a filly to practically attack him from excitement! That just wouldn't do.

So Matlalihuitl trotted as calmly as possible toward him. When she was certain she was within ear shot of the stallion, she paused where she was. She didn't want to startle him too terribly much. But a little would be fun, right? "Lin~" She called in a sing song voice, hoping he'd recognize her as much as she had him.

His body stood stock still for the while as he took in the scenery. It was a good day, not to warm, not to cold and the winds let his fluffy hair bounce against his neck playfully in the air. His wings would shudder at the wind as it rushed through each feather.

When the wind began to die a little Lin moved to turn his small body around and go find Tyrael. The bell on his neck jingled a little as he stepped to the side. He decided it was time to let the past go. That's how his father put it. A solitary sigh sounded from the male; which was an odd sound from someone so bright and lively. Had his spirit died with the sudden realization that he was an adult and needed to move on from a time when he was younger?

When he was about to completely swivel and march away he heard a sweet voice lift and sing his name to him. He froze with his tail to her. Looking over his shoulder and turning again he tilted his head. His eyes widened as he took her in. The winds picked up a little again and his bell began to jingle once more. "Matlalihuitl?" The voice that came out showed his maturity then, he had a lower tone than when he was a young colt. "Mat you've gotten so.." He would stare. "So beautiful.". He took in her colouration and smiled, his muse woke up from deep within him at that moment of taking her in. Lin felt his heart pounding against his chest, and had completely made him consider that his bell was ringing due to the vibrations and not because of the wind. Did their hearts communicate to one another that they would be here in this very place after such a long time being a part?

She had never expected to see him here. Never expected him to actually come. And when he did, it made her heart soar. She let out a small hum of a noise, her tail swaying behind her, the eye closed due to the wind flow. Usually Matlaihuitl was good about keeping still. She didn’t want to upset the eye on her tail. It was, after all, connected to her brain. And it could see just like the eyes on her head. So there was no point in her having a headache due to wagging her tail back and forth. Usually she’d get dizzy, which was no good at all! If she got dizzy how was she supposed to look for Lin? Though there wasn’t a problem with that now, he was right here… He was here, with her… And she felt like her heart was going to explode with excitement.

It only took a moment for her to realize what she wanted to do. She smiled toward him, and after a moment she moved forward quickly. Her ears swiveled some and she stopped short of pressing herself against him. She had missed Lin. He was her best friend growing up, and during that time, she’d come to love him. To adore him and want to be with him always. Be them friends or more. She just wanted to be able to be close to him. Her tail flicked behind her, and she breathed out a soft sigh at his words. Her, beautiful? She almost laughed at the thought. She was seen by most as being a monster, but it didn’t seem to bother her too much. Forget them, she was adorable! She danced on her hooves for several seconds, before pausing in her frantic motions to dip her head down lightly, humming a soft noise. ”Lin~ You always were such a charmer. Always so sweet. Oh my god I missed you so much!” She said softly.

Matlalaihuitl shifted quickly and pressed herself against him, her head tucked under his chin. She had missed him so much! Missed going on walks and people watching and being able to dance and laugh and have a great time. She missed being able to spend nights staring at the sky and the stars. She pulled herself back some, before smiling up at him, eyes flickering along him. Including the tail. Her tail had swiveled to face Lin, and watch him excitedly. It always seemed to focus on Lin, always seemed to see him into the depths of who he was. Mat had been the same way; had always seemed to smile and observe him with excitement and wonder. She had always been there with him, and now that she’d found him again, she didn’t plan on leaving.
