Exploration and Roleplay are essentially the same thing. Here it means writing out scenarios from a characters perspective based on a particular setting, circumstances, and the character itself.
Any Exploration can take place in any of the official [ Complete Guide to the Universe ]. It can also take place in an unofficial (i.e player-created) solar system/planet. Just make sure things stay in the realm of believability. You can always ask if you're not sure!
Below are a few rules to help keep things on track.
RULES
- Please keep all Exploration compliant with shop rules and Gaia TOS. This means no sexually explicit content, excess gore, etc.
- Do not take In Character [IC] events OOC [Out of Character]. You may have heard this before. What it means is that if your character gets f----d up in an RP it doesn't mean their player has any hard feelings toward YOU personally. Roleplay is fantasy. Please remember that.
- Please indicate what type of Exploration it is using one of the following tags.
- [PRP] :: Indicates a PRIVATE RP. This is between two or more players that have agreed to an RP and is not open to others to join in.
[ORP] :: Indicates an OPEN RP. Generally starts with an opening post to set the setting and general mood, but anyone is free to join in at any time.
[SOLO] :: Indicates a SOLO RP. This is a private RP that is written by a single person, usually from one character's perspective but could include multiple characters owned by that person interacting in the same setting.
- Do not enter or post in anyone else's [PRP] or [SOLO].
PERKS OF EXPLORATION
- Exploration/RP is another way to earn Stardust, which you can then use to trade for things with other players, or purchase things from our special In-Store shop.
- For every five posts you make in an RP, you can roll 1d100 to see how much Stardust you earn, based on Chart 1 below.
- If you're doing a SOLO, you can roll for every 750 words written (note that wordcounts do not accumulate for multiple SOLOs, as you can only claim Stardust per each individual SOLO written).
- All rolls must be made in the same thread as the RP or SOLO.

Use this chart to determine how much Stardust you've earned for Exploring!
1-10: None
11-75: 1 Stardust
76-85: 2 Stardust
86-90: None
91-97: 2 Stardust
98-99: 1 Stardust
100: 3 Stardust, and roll on Chart 2!
Chart 2
Use this chart if you rolled a 100 previously. Anything gained is in addition to the 3 Stardust you earned before!
1-80: +1 Stardust
81-95: Chest A
96-98: Chest B
99: +2 Stardust
100: Chest C
