The night was still young and seeing as she was on her own tonight Harmonia decided to stick close to home. Since the park was an easy jaunt for her, she had decided to enjoy the relatively warm night there. Crickets chirped softly under the waning moons light, creating a serene scene. The senshi knew better though. What could start out as a beautiful, peaceful night could easily change. Deciding to keep away from the main walk-way of the park which was scattered with lamps, Harmonia walked through the grassy fields. It allowed her to keep her night vision but also be able to see if anything was lurking in the shadows. The main path wasn't too far away though and if anyone was walking upon it she'd be able to see their figures in the lamp light. With a yawn she stopped by a small bench that was neatly tucked under a large willow tree and stretched her arms upwards. "Mmm that felt good." She sighed contently as she dropped her arms. "I am really tired tonight. Maybe it'll be a short patrol." She mused allowed as she looked around.

Cygnus was not very experienced with this whole powering up thing. He knew the basics: he was a senshi. A 'chibi' senshi, though he already hated that word. It made him sound stupid and small, damn it, and he wanted to be big and awesome! People would tease him if he said he was a chibi!
And his 'sphere' was fear. Which he was not sure about, either. It made him acutely aware of how much of a coward he was, but he worked so hard to keep that hidden from people, the last thing he wanted was to just go around telling them!
He huffed as he walked, arms folded over his chest more in a stubborn effort to keep himself closed off than because he was cold or anything. His pants didn't go all the way down to his ankles, stopping as fairly long shorts, but the night was not too bad. Or maybe he just had too much else to focus on.
The park was the place he felt the most comfortable, so he chose to 'patrol' around there. See what these powers were, and explore being powered up a bit more. That part was fun, at least, but he still didn't really understand all the strange things that weighed on him when he was powered up. Like weird pressure that seemed to be telling him something. He just had no way of understanding it.
Hearing someone talking, he moved toward the voice, and the weird feeling that seemed to be getting stronger as he walked toward it. He saw the girl, who seemed to be alone, and frowned, watching her for a long moment in silence, unsure if he wanted to get her attention.

She didn't see Cygnus right away but sensed him. Turning on her heel in the direction of aura she saw a rather small boy standing there and she stared at him a little dumbfounded for a moment. He looked so young. Surely he couldn't be a senshi or knight? His aura said otherwise though. "Um, hello there." She waved at him in the darkness. "Shouldn't you be at home? Uh, I mean, you seem a bit young to be out this late." She walked towards him, her eyes being able to get a clearer picture of the boy. Definitely a senshi."Huh...I didn't think senshi could be so young." This seems sort of wrong for a child to be a senshi.

Cygnus suffered from a bit of a small dog complex. Not just because he was small for a boy, and for someone his age, but because he was young and often very scared of everyone around him, and had to hide that embarrassing fear somehow.
Bravado was all he had, and really, he did not even have much of that, either.
"Shouldn't YOU be at home?" He countered stubbornly, folding his arms over his chest after unfolding them for only a few seconds. He shifted his feet and determined this was the ground he was going to defend, and he was not going to give up any of it to this lady, even if she threatened to call his parents and tattle on him being out so late.
Not that she knew them, because he was a super hero now, and had a secret identity.
Sticking with what he now considered a proven method of sticking up for himself, he added to his previous attempt at grand standing.
"I didn't know senshi could be so DUMB."
Nailed it.

Harmonia raised a brow at the boy. It seemed she had run into a kid with an attitude. Great. And I'd feel bad just walking away from him. He's just a kid after all."Well, seeing as I usually patrol at night, nope. I am pretty sure I should be out right now." Deciding to ignore the dumb comment and take a different approach Harmonia lazily folded her arms. "I wouldn't mind a partner for the night. It's nice to have someone to talk to and it seems you're capable." Maybe if she acted as if the kid were an adult he'd open up a bit more to her. She remembered a friend in elementary that had a problem with being addressed as a child. He always got angry at his older siblings who patted his head and ruffled his hair. Harmonia never really dealt with that kind of thing since she was an only child. Well...Corinth treated her like a kid but that was...different...kinda. Hopefully this idea didn't blow up in her face like the 'too young' comment had. Otherwise she didn't know what she'd do to dig herself out of an even deeper hole with the kid.

Cygnus looked embarrassed, but was desperately trying not to let it show. He was such an idiot some times! It made him really anxious and upset with himself because he could not control the stupid stuff that came out of his mouth.
Why couldn't he just be cool and collected and snappy like all his favorite comic book characters? Hal Jordan definitely would not have sounded so stupid.
She seemed to be playing nice with him, though, and he looked at her with a complicated expression on his face. Half of him wanted to tell her to go jump in a lake, while the other half desperately wanted to have her company and maybe she could help him figure out what all this super hero stuff was about.
"Well. I guess I can help you. But if you are really bad I'll just leave! I'm really good so I don't want to be brought down!"
Another inner wince at his instinctive boasting. He didn't even know what he was doing, and definitely didn't have the confidence to follow up his claim at being awesome at... it. Superhero-ing.

With the expression on the kids face, Harmonia was a bit worried that her plan had backfired and she was heading toward a pint-sized temper tantrum. She had no idea how she'd deal with that. She liked kids and all but had very little experience not having any siblings. She blinked at the kids for a moment when he spoke. Oh...it worked! Ha maybe I understand kids better than I thought!Quickly recovering Harmonia nodded. "Well I'll have to make sure I am on my A game then. Since we're here already we'll patrol the park. It seems to be a favorite spot for Youma." Realizing that she hadn't even introduced herself yet Harmonia stuck her hand out to the kids. "I am Harmonia by the way. The Senshi of Harmony."

Cygnus was probably not the kind of kid anyone wanted to strive to understand. He demanded a very specific kind of attention that even he did not really know how to get, and when everyone around him inevitably failed in reading his mind for him, he lashed out. He wanted to respect his elders, but it really only applied to people in authority.
Established figures of authority. Like teachers and his parents.
"O-okay," he said carefully. Youma were things he had very little experience with, and he was not too sure he wanted to run into any of the really scary ones. He definitely did not want to get himself eaten by a monster, or have one follow him home and hide under his bed.
It was hard enough to go to sleep sometimes, and now he was living in a world where monsters were DEFINITELY real, and not just mostly real like he was pretty sure but his parents kept denying. They just didn't KNOW like he did, now.
"Your name is Harmony and you're the Senshi of Harmony?" Cygnus looked up at her in surprise, slightly mis-hearing her. He wrinkled his nose. "That's silly! Would your name be Poop if you were the senshi of poop?! My name isn't Fear! It's Cygnus!"

Harmonia glanced down at him and smiled encouragingly. "We'll be fine. The Youma won't be able to stand a chance against us." She winked as she gestured for him to follow her across the empty field. Really, Harmonia couldn't imagine how difficult it was for a kid his age to deal with being a senshi. Hell, she had a hard time dealing with it and she had quite a few years on him. Sure, she first thought it was all fun and games. She thought of her new 'job' as if she were a hero in one of her fairytales. After all, the good guy always won in her stories. Unfortunately, that wasn't how the real world worked. And this was real in every sense. Good or evil didn't matter in the end if you couldn't hold your own. But, a small part of her truely hoped and believed that Good would win out in the end. "My name is HarmonIA. Not HArmony. And yes, I guess it's a bit odd since it's so similar but it's my name." She shrugged. "I didn't name myself." She raised a brow at him. "And truthfully could you imagine being the senshi of poop. I don't think I'd ever introduce myself to anyone." Her face clearly showed how grossed out she was at that idea. Leave it to a young boy to come up with that idea. Deciding to have some fun of her own she sniffed down at Cygnus. "So. Since you're the senshi of fear I guess you're afraid of a lot of things?" This could either completely backfire in her face or prove interesting.

Cygnus did not look entirely convinced, but nodded his head in as close to a motion of confidence as he was likely to get at this point. He swallowed hard and looked like he was about two seconds from running off in the other direction. That did not happen, though, and he managed to hold his ground.
"Oh," he said, as she explained her name to him. He had not named himself, but he did not know if that was just because he was a kid, and people were always telling him what to do, or if it was something the 'bigger' senshi had to deal with, too. He did know that there was a difference between regular senshi and chibi ones, like him.
It was just like being called a kid all the time. It came with a certain set of rules for how people were to treat him, whether he liked it or not.
"I wouldn't want to be that senshi, poop is- I'm not afraid of anything!!"
Except everything.
"I didn't pick Fear, I just got it! That's not fair! You just said you didn't pick either! Don't pick on me!" He hurried toward her in a petulant rage, kicking her ankle in his frustration, though it was not exactly a hard hit. He clearly held back, if only because he did not want to get in trouble. Still, he had to keep up appearances of being tough, right?

The fact that she hadn't been expecting a physical attack from the kid was the only reason her ankle smarted. His kick hadn't been as bad as it could have been, and sure, she may have deserved it a bit, but she wasn't all that happy. "Ya know, attacking someone like that isn't nice." She grumbled as she bent down to rub the offended ankle for a moment before standing back up. She sighed and put her hands on her hips as she looked down at him. "Now what would you have done if you had actually hurt me and then we got attacked?" She raised an eyebrow. It may be cruel to do at the moment but it was certainly a valid point. At least in her mind. "I was only teasing you. After all, what you said about my name wasn't all that nice either." An aura pulled Harmonia away from scolding Cygnus and she looked up and around them before her eyes stopped on a large cluster of trees and bushes to the left of them on the outskirts of the field. Squinting at the bushes she caught movement before something burst out of the brush and towards them. The body was lithe and almost feline like but had a bug-like quality to it. Needless to say it was ugly from what she could see. "Watch out!" She pushed Cygnus out of the way of the creature as she also dodged its' leap at them. I guess I got what I asked for. Though I really didn't want this with the kid here.

Cygnus looked at her petulantly, sticking out his tongue at her and blowing a very well practiced raspberry at her in defiance. He knew what he did was not right, and he would get in trouble if his parents saw or found out, but he did not really care. He was mad, and he had to show that he was braver than he looked, dang it!
The last thing he wanted was for people to know he was a scardy cat as a super hero as well as a normal kid. If that happened, the whole idea of having a secret identity and another life where he could be better would be completely ruined.
He watched her and huffed as she told him off, shaking his head with the utmost stubbornness that could be found in a child. He planted his feet and shook his head so fiercely he almost toppled over, drawing a deep breath as he prepared to yell his defense at her.
He did not get there, though, before a strange looking creature appeared and the only yell he let out was one of terror. He was already trying to cling to Harmonia when she pushed him the other way, falling over and seeing the weird looking monster sailing by him.
"What is it?! Harmonia!!!" He screeched, crawling to her and clinging to her leg as tightly as he could. Brave, he was not. Useful in a battle, he was not.

Harmonia looked back at the thing as it sailed over them all the while trying to decling the child from her leg which wasn't working as well as she wanted. "It's a youma. Is this the first one you've seen?" She glanced down at him, starting to feel a bit more worried. If Cygnus was going to be like this the whole time she wasn't sure how this was going to work. The creature had so much momentum as it leapt past them that it kept moving when it landed and circled around them to make another attempt at it's prey. The mandibles that made up it's mouth clicked loudly as it's four legs zipped it across the ground. It moved with the fluidity of a feline and seemed to be hunting in that sense but the casing of it's body was shiney and hard and had multiple bplated breaks that helped hit move as well as it did. This thing was going to be bothersome. "Cygnus you can't hold on like that I can't fi..." She didn't finish her sentence as she practically threw both of them out of the way again as the youma made another pass.

"I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!" Cygnus was busy chanting as she talked to him, absolutely not hearing anything but his own voice and the thundering of his heart. He clung to her tightly, his grip incredibly vice like despite his age and size. Or maybe because of it.
Babies had incredible grips, after all. He was channeling that now, in many ways. Hopefully no one besides Harmonia would see him reverting back to his baby days, however.
Not that he was worried about his image in that particular moment, but it certainly would come back to haunt him.
He yelped again as she leaped out of the way of the next charge, clinging to her and refusing to let go for any reason. He had his face buried against her leg, but chanced a look at the youma to see it rounding on them again, and taking in just how ugly it was. Yup, he definitely hated it.
"Make it go away!!" he wailed miserably, sobbing.

Harmonia had no idea what to do. Well, she knew she needed to fight the youma but it was a near impossible feat with a child clinging to her as if his life depended on it. She could understand him being afraid. After all that youma was certainly something out of her own nightmares, but he was not helping. At all. "Cygnus you have to let me go. I can't fight it to make it go away with you holding onto me like this." She tried to pry him off of her by forcing her hands underneath his arms but for such a small guy he had a crazy amount of strength. Guess fear does that.She heard a growl and looked up just in time to see the youma practically on top of them. She kicked out at the creature with her one free leg. It's mandibles snapped at her foot as it tried to get a grip on her but she managed to bat it off for a second. Cygnus's sobbing seemed to be a trigger for the creature to change tactics and aim for the small senshi though. It back off of them for only a moment or two before coming in on Harmonia's side that Cygnus was attached to. It snapped at the Senshi of Fear looking to make purchase before it could be fended off again. "Cygnus! You need to do something! Whether it's attack it or letting go of me, either will help!"
