A Bit About Me
I've been a Wingleader for a while now, I've watched Pern change, adapt and overcome and my goals as a Wing Leader have never changed - serve to the best of my ability and bring my people home safe after every flight. I strive to lead my Wing in a fair and open minded manner - all of my riders are welcome to approach me with concerns or suggestions on how we can improve. I expect my riders to be dedicated to each other and to Pern, to fly to the best of their ability at all times, should you follow such standards then we'll get along just fine.

The Gale Stalkers are an old wing, we have flown in all threadfalls assigned to us since the beginning of the pass. The Gale Stalkers accorded themselves well during the war, fighting to save Trine, rebuild from the damages and accommodate our brethren from other Weyrs and later in the fights and missions to liberate the other Weyrs and bring to an end to the madness of those dark times. The Gale Stalkers have, and will continue, to adapt and overcome all obstacles which might threaten our homes and our people.

A Bit About Me

Since my promotion to Wingleader some sixteen turns ago I have dedicated my life to my duty and to my wing; I have given my blood, and my tears, and my heart of hearts, and I would do so again without hesitation for the love of my comrades and that which we defend by our flame and our blades.

I value honor and hard work and I expect both from my riders but I do not ask anything that I would not do myself; if there is an unpleasant task to be done you can be sure that I will get my hands dirty alongside you, if there is a fight to be fought you can be sure that I will fight it with you, and you can be certain that come what may I will never abandon a comrade.

If one of my wingmates is ever in need I will do whatever I can to help them whether their troubles are something practical such as difficulty with a maneuver or if they are less tangible, a struggle with trauma perhaps, I will be there without judgement to aid them or merely to listen if that is what they need. I know what it is like to find that your worst enemy is your own mind, I think that kind of inner battle is too often forgotten and that there is stigma attached to it; the scars that don’t show can run the deepest and I want my riders to know that I understand that and that they can trust me with their struggles.

I am deeply proud of all my wing has been a part of in the past and I believe that together we have a bright future, that we can - that we do - exemplify the positive changes that have swept across Pern and that we can defend those changes against those who would seek to undo them for their own selfish gain; each according to their abilities, blind to the hue of hide.


Fly With Us!

Dauntless wing has always been known for taking on dangerous tasks when the need arises, for steadfastness, for loyalty, for valuing honor, and for valuing individuals’ skills; for more than twelve turns we have run optional ‘skill swap’ sessions twice a sevenday where riders may train their fellows in a skill they have, or when I may have asked a crafter to come in to teach.

I encourage Dauntless riders to speak their minds; if they have a problem or suggestion they are welcome to approach me or one of my wingseconds after drills, or if they aren’t confident speaking in person I have a suggestions box on the outside of my weyr for anonymous notes.

As for some of our deeds, in the battle that recaptured Benden Dauntless led a daring push up through the supply tunnels cutting our way through defensive lines of whers and handlers in order to execute a pincer movement with more of Trine’s forces who struck from higher entrances; we lost good riders and dragons that day but somebody had to take on the task and their sacrifices have never been forgotten.

In the final clash with Keller at Malvren our dragons battled in the skies seeking out and slaying the dragons of some of Keller’s key lieutenants and generals while we riders fought in the depths and I am proud to say that we were among those who finally brought down the monstrous Kellask though again our victory was not without tragic loss; as I have said Dauntless does what must be done, not what is safe.

A couple of turns ago now I volunteered Dauntless to become one of the first Rogue Hunter wings and since then we have won many victories against the rogue golds, one of the most notable being foiling an attempted kidnapping of the daughter of the Lord Holder of Eron Hold; the queen who planned it had intended to use her as a hostage to extract tithes from Eron but we put an end to that scheme!
