Word spread fast in a place like Tendaji. Surprising when the people were so spread out, but now that there was more traveling it was a growing rumor mill spreading word as fast as earthlings could move. It was little secret that a group of Alkidike were starting to cause problems in Tendaji. The extremist Alkidike felt that it was high time that Jauhar was taken back from the shifters and the alarming growth of others that were settling into their land.
There were growing accounts of ambushing in the jungles of Jauhar, where shifters and other earthlings were being beaten and sacked for their things before being threatened to leave Jauhar… and there was only so much these poor people could take before they fled the scene and packed their bags. What would happen if the Alkidike decided to spread out further than Jauhar and became a threat to all earthlings?
They were still rumors, and nothing could be proved, but many were beginning to cast a disapproving gaze toward the Alkidike and a weary eye to Jauhar’s borders...

- Eleina didn't understand what the fuss was all about. The worry about the Alkidike's. They were so far away, and not even a threat. Sure they had fought in the war, but if anything that proved that the Oban's had no one to fear. The Alkidike's lived on their little islans, and even in the forests, but they wouldn't come to Oban. The heat would be too much for them. Plus it took all of the other earthlings and the Alkidikes combined to take down the Obans, why would just these warrior women be a threat to them. If anything she figured the Obans would be the last target anyways, since they weren't even known about until recently. She shook her head as she darn, listening to the paranoid whispers of the people around her. They were being stupid, and clearly knew nothing of fighting. Sure from what she understood the Alkidikes were strong, but there also wasn't a lot of them. Enough to fit on two little islands? How could people that were so few be any kind of thread.
She wasn't pure Oban, from a noble family, or from a family of warriors, but she still knew that their army was to be feared. She was sure that the people all around her were lower class, and never saw a day of fighting in their life. To doubt threat the Obans could hold heir lands against people that were so few well the talk was just plain stupid. She sat there for a few more seconds, drinking her drink and minding her own business until she couldn't take it anymore. Listening to the rumors was annoying. The people needed to believe. After paying her own bill Eleina turned to the table behind her that had been talking their filth. It was time for her to speak her mind.
"How could you be so scared and still call yourself Oban? I was always taught that as Oban we were proud people. Aware of our ablities and all we could do. Here you guys are sitting here thinking that we have anything to worry about, talking about how we should be careful the Alkidikes don't get us? It's stupid. Have some faith, and some common sense. Even if we weren't amazing fighters, which we are, we also have way more people then they do." She paused, realizing that there were a lot more people looking at her other then the people that she was speaking to. They weren't speaking but there were a few that were sizing her up. No doubt their had noticed her eyes, or another feature that gave away her mixed ancestry. It was time for her to say what she came there to say and then make a quick exit. "I'm just saying, you need to have more confidence. And if you are going to sit around sulking and worrying about the impossible you should do it in your own homes so other people don't have to listen to it. Here people have to listen to your words, and if there are children about then they might even believe you. Worse still if there are outsiders about and they hear your talk they will think they don't have to fear us."
Although not a word had been said she gathered her things and Eleina made a swift exit, trying to make sure that a fight of sorts wasn't about to break out. They were a good group of people in the aspect that they didn't seem mad by her words, but she could never be too careful. She knew all too well that what looked like complacency one second could turn to anger in another. She was always careful of speaking out, or calling herself an Oban. Some people didn't like it, the fact that she claimed to be one of them when she wasn't fully one. She was lucky that nothing had happened, and she wanted to keep it that way. For now she headed home, eager to see what her mother thought of the whole situation. No doubt she wouldn't be happy that Elenia had spoken up, but Elenia was sure that her mother would be happy and even agree with what she had said. Maybe in time she wouldn't have to make a exit when she spoke her mind. She didn't think it would be any time soon, but eventually. Maybe once she became a Shaman she would get some respect . Maybe then she would be more then a half breed.
