He hadn't ventured to the arenas before. He had heard stories of the place from the other apprentices over dinner, discussing their exploits in the ring against creatures of the shadow. Now that he was a dubbed knight, he wanted to try out Remittuntur in an actual setting that did not involve attacking other apprentices or the errants ... or Great Knights. A shadow bird was released into the arena as he withdrew his Executioner's Sword. It was odd how it was light enough to be handled with one hand, but with two, it was devastatingly deadly. It swooped at the knight as he swung his blade over head, catching its underside as it passed, taking a talon over his shoulders. The shadow bird came back again, its cry terrifying as it swooped. Uru had jabbed at it as it passed, but forgot that his sword was not longer tipped, but had a flat edge. Ruth was a little reluctant to use More or Less, not because she doubted them but because she wasn't sure how she would retrieve them once they were thrown. The blonde woman decided to put her faith in her weapon and gave a swing. The more ornate end plunged into the shadowy bird with ferocity and Ruth's mouth pulled into a wicked grin.

Uru heard the gate open and the clattering of metal footsteps as another presence entered the arena with him. It was a woman. She apparently had rushed forward, swinging her weapon at the bird. Was she trying to miss or was she just trying to scare it off from attacking a downed knight? Before he could gather himself, she had already dealt damage to the creature to have it fall to the ground. Brandishing Remittuntur, he pulled it over his head, grasped it with two hands, bringing it down onto creature as the blade was meant to. Execution. Battle Damage Your Arena Rank: 1
